Fun fact: Larry Nichols, the guy who invented the 2x2 used the same method of building with magnets. But, he changed it because people were just taking it apart and saying they solved it.

Why was 2/3 of the video literally about the printer he was sent??? This wasn't about the cube at all... I was expecting to see some stuff about the creation process or maybe why he felt this needed to be done but 1 minute of "yeah I decided to print a cube" followed by 10 minutes of "hey look at this printer I was sent"
Because he got the printer for free in exchange for an advertisement, even though he didn't make that clear which is scummy
@@nameonelast598 I'm aware it was clearly an advertisement it just irritated me that the video wasn't at all presented as such. Even if he had made the intro something like "this company sent me a 3d printer and I thought to truly put it to the test, I should have it be a solution to a problem I've been thinking avout for a while" would have made the video much more digestible as something that wasn't just I stole this idea for somebody on the internet but that's not important let me tell you all about this new printer

Maybe you can make the insides like 0.5 mm thicker, and then sand and polish them down to exact size and get some smoother turning? its also possible to apply some heat to get 3d prints really "polished"
Should also be possible to print with rounded corners to get that corner-cutting from speed cubes!
also: how about making the core spherical?

Try making a line of cubes called "Super scramble cubes". They are cubes with magnets such that you can take off pieces and scramble them. It would be super cool but difficult.

What if the cubes were hollow, and open on the side that the colored insert goes. And then the magnets installed from the inside, so they're invisible, and also slightly further apart giving it a smoother turn.

i thought this was a puzzle channel. it looks like a 3D printer video rather than a puzzle.
So, in a 15-minute video with a title claiming to be about making a Rubik's cube, you spent the first 10 minutes advertising a 3D printer.
You should be more transparent with your audience and tell them when a video is either an advert or heavily sponsored.
Something like "I make a Rubik's cube to let my audience know about a great little 3D printer I'm being sponsored to use."
Then maybe a highlight saying "Sponsored content!"
