Samsung's Self Repair program is a JOKE

- We owe so much to the progress iFixit has made in our industry. But because no federal #RightToRepair laws exist, we are ALL at the mercy of these OEMs. The fact that a $15 battery can only be bought with a $230+ display is nuts, and completely intentional. Who’s paying $240 for a battery? And God forbid you break the back glass, or you'll be shelling out $70+. Insanity.

It's like if you wanna buy new tires for your car, but you'll only get them if you buy a new chassis alongside it.
These repair programs are nothing more than pathetic attempts to boost their PR...
I think it makes total sense, of course i'd like to pay for a new engine block when i need one (1) spare tire, don't you?
Make 5 cent phones and I'll buy one everyday.
The store I work for we’re certified Samsung and Apple repair technicians w/ their tools and diagnostics apps...” you didn’t hear that from me 👀👀. Also now n days, Samsung requires you to run tests before an after a repair. So yes Samsung will take advantage of those that aren’t suppose to repair their product 😅
Genuine question: what pc/ phone option would you recommend, that is as self repair friendly as possible?
Also I did like and subscribe 😂
Who can't wait to get their hands on an OEM Andy 2x4 for $999??? 🙌
"A piece of *FART* glass." I love the censorship sound though! :)
Thanks for repairing my Dell G5. I would have asked y'all to fix my phone as well, but it's a Samsung.
It was a pleasure, I really liked that laptop! Ah damn, what exact model? Broken screen or?
@@SalemTechsperts Yeah, broken screen. Samsung S8. I'll be heading off for university tomorrow though so I doubt you can help in time.
@@jacobc32 Ah darn. A genuine screen on that model is $129. You can buy the entire phone in good condition for $120 on eBay 😔
Bro this is cool
You could create a business by buying these packages and resale the individual parts.
There are plenty of part suppliers in the US that offer Service Pack screens for $15 higher than these. The margins are razor thin. Then you have to take on the liability of someone messing up the install and claiming it's defective. Would be a massive waste of time.
@@SalemTechsperts good to know. Thank you for informing me.
