Daniel, You are the only one that makes me want to go out to my shop even though I’m snowed in at the present. I look forward to everything you post. Because of cost, my first one will be made with pallet wood. Talk about rustic! We have a 200.+ yr old house and these will be perfect. Thank you Professor!
Love Matthew Peech, butMike Wolfe and Frank Fritz were using "smalls" in the same context on American Pickers for at least 10 years before Matthew posted his first UA-cam video.
I just found this channel last night and I really like the subjects as well as the amazing story telling ability coupled with awesome woodworking skills. They live their life and seem happy as we all should be so blessed.
Another great video. I am making some of those for my office at work. Have a plant that goes all the way around all four walls and want to root some. Thanks for the video and love the dancing. 😂
Just came across your videos bearded viking....your a geezer, lovin your work !!! Your dancing is terrible though 😂😂 don't stop just cos I said so, was very funny 👍🏻😁
Just found your channel and I love it! thanks for sharing!! I'll be joining your FB page, I'm a woodwork enthusiast and content creator and hope to sell my stuff on my abandoned etsy shop 😬👊👍
Simple clean designs often sell better than complicated ones. I can't see $70 a piece for those though. But hey, if people will pay that much...all the better for the woodworker. Cool small piece.
Nice! Charles Neil tip, use a gravel patch or rock driveway, any rocky type substrate and drop, stand whatever on the board to get a very random natural looking distressing.
At one time Matthew Peech actually used to teach woodworking. He’s been in a lot of crazy stuff. That’s what contributes to his wide range of woodworking projects and skills. Got a question for you Daniel. Was interested in getting into your club thing.
Sorry Daniel so late to the game. Pretty upset about last night's excitement! Anyway, Love this project and I can see all sorts of ways to make my spin on it! Thanks for the healthy distraction!
When i make "rustic" style smalls, etc i always give it at least a light wash with the vinegar/steelwool solution to "age" it a bit before i stain it. Makes it a little more deep and old feeling.
Anther spin, just use two tubes, on one board. Angled, staggered, your choice, or one tube, with a candle holder below. 🤔 What else? 🤫😉Can’t give away all my secrets. 😅 Thanks Daniel, looks like a fun project with lots of potential/possibilities.
Great project. I have one question though. When you sell the wall hanging, do you include the actual floral display, or just the wall hanging itself? Thanks
Daniel, Matthew Peech is the one UA-camr who uses the the word making money selling smalls. He always uses that term and would have liked you to have mentioned Matthew Peech in his intro. Matthew literally has a series on how to sell using smalls.
Aye I wanna show you a picture of something I discovered and wanna make don’t understand why I can’t get it right.. 😂 if you wanna make a video on it I’d love that I know you’ll DECIPHER it and teach us A GREAT way to do this little stand
I’ve been trying to sell on Etsy seems like impossible I watch so many videos on you tube every one is bragging about much profit and selling yet I don’t find it that way
What box store sells 5/4 board? Because 5/4 is an inch and an 1/8 which is what I get at sawmill. Stores like menards for example only have 3/4 and 6/4
I'm unsure if you're about to post up and ask me what hood I'm from or teach me how to make stuff but I appreciate the information! Now to figure out how to sell things reliably.
Daniel, I've been watching you for quite some time now and I enjoy your videos BUT you gotta be safer for yourself and your family man. Every time i see you use your new bandsaw i scream from north Georgia to LOWER YOUR GUARD!!! You always have it all the way up even for small items. That's very unsafe man. If you were to slip or something was to scare you... And you fell into it, It would cause a lot more damage up like you have it instead of down like it should be. You only need that thing about an inch above your wood. Plus the rollers on the end of it are there for a reason, To help steady your blade and give you a better cut. I'm not trying to tell you how to work in your own shop. I just want you to do it safe, So you can keep producing enjoyable videos for us. We don't need another scribing wheel accident.... or worse.
Not at the big box stores and framing lumber yards , 5/4 is considered 1” , I’m well aware the dimensions of said lumber , I build custom homes and frequently by 5/4 decking that measures 1” . And when I by hardwood for the shop building projects in shop my suppliers go by board foot and 5/4 is 1 1/4 Now when it comes to hardwood board footage yes 4/4 1” obviously . 🙄 but anyways thought I’d clear that up.
@@WhittleManDan you’re allowed to feel the way you do , so let’s start there , when it comes to running any business , we are in it for the most profit possible , my price isn’t as high as others as I don’t look to rich off of every single thing I sell , and well there are people who pay certain prices for a lot of different items , it doesn’t mean it’s a bunch of crap , people that want items will pay , people that don’t won’t pay , capitalism.

Hi Daniel I’m here at Home Depot and I’m trying to buy the cleat glue that you use in your video and the activator spray is there a brand name for it
They don’t sell that brand , I get it from Amazon but gorilla glue would work , I’m not sure if Home Depot sells activator or not

isnt 5 quarter board 1 and 1/4 inch not a inch? unless i misunderstood?
It depends , if you go to big box store or the lumber mills , big box store has it marked 5/4
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks thats weird., I guess bug box stores invent their own math. Lol
What box store sells 5/4 board? Because 5/4 is an inch and an 1/8 which is what I get at sawmill. Stores like menards for example only have 3/4 and 6/4
