Catch!
Skål 🫡 love ya to brother ! Miss seeing ya around man !
Congratulations on finding your wife in the back yard. I wish you both a happy future. Great video. Cheers John
lol 😂 thanks brother
How good did it feel to say meet me at the band saw🎉 u deserve it brother
Wonderful! Can’t wait to put it to use. Thanks bro
Your advice at the end is just right. While my journey with UA-cam thus far has been very different than yours, I didn't hurt me one bit to hit record on that first video. By the way, if you did a series on your video editing, I'd 100% watch that.
Gotcha. I might just do that buddy
Great news, great additon to the shop can't wait for you to cut your first peace and learn some tips still nervus about using the one at my job.
Hell yeah , I’m super excited 😆
Loves the video So happy you received your band saw So glad I found your channel Wish I could make all the live videos but life happens for a woman I do watch the recording You are a great inspiration Thanks for all you do for your members
You guys are awesome ! And I totally understand things happen ! And I’m happy to have ya along for the journey

Well my goodness , that’s so sweet of you Kat ! That means so very much to me , I know one direction and that is forward, and with viewers like you it makes it that much easier to stay going in that direction (Forward) Skål 🍻

Hell yeah bro ! Thanks for tuning in

Yep
That is a great addition to your shop! Congratulations, brother!! Well deserved!
Thanks Charlie
Morning Daniel.. Mark from Ky checking in... Did you say that you found mahogany and a wife in the backyard?
lol sure did
Another great build. I definitely enjoy your channel and seeing your visions come together. I am a novice just getting started and I have an issue with patience. Any advice you can give a newbie on how to stay focused and engaged when things don’t seem to come together properly in the beginning or the first time around?
You must be patient , patience is the most important part of woodworking. Use soft woods like pine when first starting out , and any scrap woods you can find , ask cabinet shops for their cut offs. That way you can practice. So practice practice practice
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks thanks for taking the time to respond. I dig the things you build.
Hi Daniel I thought when doing pocket holes that you had to use the screws that were recommended for the pocket holes because I noticed that using there screws they are a little bit expensive, the other thing I seen that u used a mask when you were trimming up the pallet boards any special reason or just a preference
@@frankhomen2632 I had horrible allergies that day plus some pallets have chemicals in them , as far as the povket holes you can use which ever screws you like as long as they have a similar pan head
Awesome video Daniel! Planter is badass. I’ve been burned out on them but ur design has motivated me to change mine and lit the fire once again brother! U have no idea just how much u help me man! Keep it coming
Skål 🍻 my man ! Happy to hear this ! Stay awesome
⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️
I make and sell a ton of this style based on Matthew Peech’s design. I like the spin you put on it though and am gonna try it. Was this initially based on his design? All the best as always Daniel 👍
I haven’t seen his , but I have no doubt it is similar , Mathew Peech is awesome , thanks for tuning in and leaving feedback , you’re an absolute rock star 💫
Great video Daniel! Doesn't surprise me though! I do like the contrast. And maybe you can answer a question on the angle. The angled planters I did, I think the short one was at a 5° & the tall one (33") was at 3°, but my top trim didn't fit level with the top of the planter. I know maybe I shouldn't be so picky, but there was a gap under the trim where they didn't quite meet flush. I had to hand plane it to get it to meet together. Any suggestion. Have a super day and enjoy your new toy!
You can bevel the tops of you planter at that same degree to get it to sit flush or do a compound miter ( which is a bevel w/ the 45° miter on your top ) or just don’t beat yourself up too much about the little gap 😊
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Thanks Daniel! Your help is always so much appreciated!
Great spin on the project, great storyline, but most importantly great inspirational value on this one 👌
I'm one of those that has had my finger on the content creating trigger, but been too afraid of my lack of tech skills to pull it. Now you will likely see me out there in the near future! Thanks so much 👍
I’m telling ya bro ! Start now ! You’ll thank yourself a year from now ! You got this man.
Love the planter box! Will the pallet boards hold up to the weather (eg. rain, the bottom of a wet flower pot)? Thanks again for sharing 😀 your northern neighbor 🇨🇦
Hey yes once I hit it with some Thompson water sealer it’ll be just fine
Do you have anything on Amazon that's called a power ripper it's like five dollars I have one it works great
I’ll have to look into that , thanks
You found your wife in the backyard?
Lmao yep
Ahh so there’s the delivery of that bandsaw I asked about, grizzly, I used to get emails from them I don’t know what happened, haven’t been getting them lately?
You have bandsaw just like mine! You will love it!!! It's my favorite tool!
Wonderful !!’ Looking forward to it ! I’m super excited
Congratulations on the new equipment, you deserve it!!!
Thanks you so very very much !!
Good luck with the bandsaw congratulations!
Love you channel and the projects, thank you!

Just a clear spar

Thank you so much ! 😊
I got the K5 Kreg jig pretty cheap on Amazon. I've had it 5 years and have used it twice.
Sweet
That K5 has triples in price!
GREAT video Daniel......I have been thinking about starting a you tube channel. But I know it's a lot of work and time. I just don't have either of that right now.....besides, I'm really not a good speaker. Maybe when I retire, I'll have more time.
Take care.......P.S. I'm glad you found your wife in the backyard :)
Thanks man ! I totally get the whole time deal . Can’t wait til ya retire and watch your stuff brother ! I have a feeling it’s gonna be awesome ! Skål 🍻
Great band saw. Congratulations.
Thanks so much
I spent a couple of hours today ripping apart pallets so I could have a stockpile of wood. Then I attempted to make one of those octagons shelfs. It turned out pretty nice!
Awesome !! Are you a member of the BV woodworks fb group ? I’d love to have you share them on there
Great build bro. I love the Viking Jesper. Skäl to you both 🥃🍻🏴🇬🇧🇺🇲
Skäl my friend
I do love me a pockethole screw build

Nice little Goose honking jig 😂
Thank you for the video. I plan to make a few of these. My basement is mostly dry so maybe ill get to this weekend. Thank you for everything you do. You are so inspirational to many people. I know I say that alot but the more people I talk to from your members i found out how true it really is. Maybe ill have a couple of projects to send pictures of soon. Glad you got a band saw. I know you said its be a little bit til there will be another video ill be watching for it. I cant join the weekly lives because of work but ill see you in the weekend lives
Hell yeah John ! Skål 🍻
Reciprocator saw with bimetallic blade to cut the nails, or if you don’t mind shorter boards just skill saw the sides. Wack the middle beams with mini sledge. That’s my method.
Thank you for the tip brother
Wow Daniel!!!! That is a nice bandsaw !!! You soooo deserve it my friend! Can’t wait to see what you make with it! My shop build is finally dried in and windows. Soon I will be able t set up my tools and make a different kind of saw dust lol😂 Also really loved the planter! And was very nice to meet your son and wife!
Hey man ! Thanks so much for the kind words ! I know you’re excited to get in your shop !! Happy for you as well ! No better feeling than making sawdust ! Skål 🍻

Good looking wood on that bandsaw crate...How are you planning to reuse that :D
Oh I’ve got some idea
I love seeing good things for good people, and you are good people. Congratulations on the new bandsaw. It will for sure open up a whole new level of videos now. I can't wait to see your shop over time transform into something amazing. All earned from your hard work and great videos.
Hey man thanks so much that means a lot my friend , Skål 🍻
Brother..!!! Now, you need to come up with another cool project that uses the pallet and crate wood that your new grizzly tool came in and on.🤓🤓🤠😎
Hell yeah man , I’m in the shop getting it set up as we speak
Can't wait to see this bandsaw in action
Hell yeah man me too
Another great show 👍👍🏆🇺🇸
Thanks brother
So cool! And what are you making out of the wooden crate that band saw came in!?!?
Not sure yet
You found your wife in the backyard?! Kismet!! 😂
🤣
I love breaking up pallets. It’s a stress reliever. I am a pallet hunter. I look for ones with oak and other hard woods and also cedar❤️. I have several stops that allow me to go thru their pallets and pick ones where they are just throwing them out
Hell yeah ! That’s awesome. Very good stress relief lol 😂
I've never built a planter before, but thinking I just might do it here pretty soon. Sorry that I don't get to all the live shows, but do enjoy it when I can! Even if I don't get to join in on the camaraderie, I do watch the recordings to learn new things. Your Jewelry boxes are fantastic! Your joinery is the best! I agree with Kat... You're a true example and inspiration! Take care my Viking friend.
Thanks pop ! You’re also an inspiration to me ! You and viewers like you are very appreciated
Congratulations brother! Beautiful saw would love to have one lol. Love those strong adult kids
Oh yes 🙌
Reclaim projects are pretty awesome. Looks pretty nice. ❤❤
Thanks bro
Where do get your pallets from? That they come apart that easily
All sorts of different places
Job sites , back of shopping centers
If you run the pallet board threw a plainer it's best to check it over with a pin pointer metal detector because the nails they use to assemble the pallets are coils and the wires between the nails get stuck in the boards and are hard to see and can really mess up your plainer blades, if you find one use a regular drill bit and drill out the nail hole.
Thanks brother
Can't wait to see the resaw videos with your new toy
Gonna be wonderful !!!!!
Glad to see your becoming less shy welcome to the bearded Viking family hope to see more of you ❤️
😊
