1979...Hell of a year! I think probably the span of '76 to '86 was probably one of the most progressive movements in music since the 50's! there was so much diversity and variety and new sounds...I dont think we've had anything quite like it since...
My word. I remember buying this as a single when I was in the sixth form around 1979. Here I am 45 years later watching it on you tube as a 62yr old. Used to play this a lot way back then. Wonder what B.A Robertson is up to these days.
I was 19 when this was released and first heard it on a jukebox with my girlfriend in the Shakespear pub in Middlesbrough. I would give good money to return to those times, which, I dont care what anyone says were more fun without the distasteful distractions of todays social media etc.
What a delight to see this again. Jeez, I was 8 years old at the time. I loved this song and was a big fan. I had all his records. My mum, cousin and I had a day out in London and was crossing a zebra crossing. My mum suddently started jumping up and down pointing at the waiting car shouting "it´s BA, it´s BA!" He was driving the car and he gave us a lovely smile and wave.
(sigh) Those were the days...I was only 10 going on 11 when this was released. The 70's were a wonderful time to be a child...and the 80's as a teen...much better than today.
Seriously I've been looking for this song for over 20 years I came across it on here last night by accident I remember hearing it when I was a kid back in the 80s
For some bizarre reason this song has been stuck in my head for several days having not heard it for nigh on 40 years!!

BA Robertson, Kissing the Pink, Stranglers, Boomtown Rats... God, what an era! Loved it!
A great song , used to annoy my sister while driving her to school by burping the car horn whenever bang, bang was sung
God those women
Amanda Lear like
RIP Bill Walton.
Always thought BA Robertson was a brilliant lyrical jester, you can't fail to smile
This song is so memorable even though I haven't heard it for 40 years - they shouldn't have spent so much on the video, though. 😂

4O years ago, a much simpler time, before Grammarly adverts.
