as an old stylist laid my shears down long ago i use to tell my clients your hair tell a story about you . hair is more than just hair .with persistence training the hair to stay beautiful even on your worse days .blessings
I have 3c/4a hair and i have a keratin treatment, but i don’t flat iron my hair with the product in it, i rinse it all the way out and flat iron my hair as normal, not a bunch of passes on my hair at high heat. I still have my natural curls…i just don’t have any frizz so my hair appears looser. Keratin doesn’t have to permanently straighten your hair. I blow my hair out 6-10 times a year, maybe flatiron like 3-4 times and I still have a curl pattern. My hair is thick, long and smooth it’s not a relaxer, but yes over time you can relax the curl. Still not a relaxer, lol. I have a homegirl who does the treatment exactly as this video, and flat irons her butt length hair every week…she literally has nearly straight natural hair, she’s been doing it over a decade and at this point her hair is frizz free from the keratin, but it’s straight bc she styles it that way exclusively and it’s easier to style bc it has keratin in it.
I’m a bald male with zero need for this but I’m glad my algorithm got me new asmr material lol I’d pay to just sit there and you act like I got this treatment 😂
You did what the client asked. Dunno what's wrong with people in the comments. Anyway, I've never had a keratin treatment. If I want to keep my hair freeze free I use elvive keratin straight oil replacement leave in and wet set it in a drier before flat ironing it. My hair doesn't revert even if it gets a little wet. It stays straight and freeze free until I wash it.
I would not recommend low porosity hair types to get this treatment: “Because low porosity hair already has more protein than it needs, treating it with keratin can have a devastating outcome. So, even though keratin is a refreshingly non-formaldehyde product, it's not ideal for everyone. In contrast, people with high porosity hair require keratin treatments for optimal hair health.”
I have dyed my hair so many times, due to that my hair was damaged. But I just got this treatment a week ago, and it has been one of the best things I have ever done. Now I don’t have to try to find products to make my hair less frizzy and more softer. Thanks to this my hair is soft and I don’t have the same problems as before.
Keratin treatment caused me to lose alot of hair. My hair was beautiful and thick just as the client in this video before the stylist applied a keratin treatment.
So beautiful! I seriously want this treatment but I don’t even know how to begin to find a trusted stylist to do it. I know that all hair types get keratin treatments, I’d prefer someone who is knowledgeable and used to working with tight curls like yourself! I think I’ll just save and fly to your salon! @@sevenzenhair67 I’m next in line fr. I’m soooo hesitant to have someone in my hair after doing my own for my whole natural hair journey. I love the Kativa Keratin kit off Amazon & Ebay, their Keratin mask is a BETTER hair mask than the more expensive brands and inexpensive ! Had overdyed my very dry, dye-ravaged 4c Afro bushy hair! Used a Keratin kit, it worked! My hair is strong and longer! Fudge Time Machine hair treatment, Seal & Armor Fudge abd Top Lock saved my dry 4c hair! Creme of Nature hair stuff, Henna wax, Keratin leave in conditioner and IC hair oil repaired my 4c dry hair! Grab it! UK 🇬🇧
I have a keratin treatment that I apply myself and never have had a problem. My hair is super fine. I find that after rinsing the shampoo out of washing my hair I can actually put a tablespoon of aloe vera gel and my hair is detanged and ready for the keratin smoothing. This treatment is not as delicate as some seem to think. I have 4a/3c hair and keratin smoothing treatment works like magic. I then use a flat at 350°. I love it!
Keratin is more of a coating of the hair shaft, no? The coating can be stripped away over time w shampoo. Relaxers are a stronger chemical and the consequences of applying a relaxer wrong are way worse than applying a keratin treatment wrong 😯
I can see why women give up taking care of their natural hair. After looking at this video, it's a lot of work. I think if more women went to salons to have their hair taken care of, it would be easier to maintain at home. It needs a lot of care to keep it moisturized, conditioned etc. It's hard not seeing the back of your head, you need help plus your arms get very tired. For real.
This is a keratin treatment. The same amount of steps have to be used on any head of hair regardless of race. This is a treatment. Our natural hair is not a lot of work.
Since I have low porosity hair I was hesitant to do this on myself because I heard the things with low porosity hair and protein however I style my hair either 1-2 times a week so because I’m a natural curls wearing person, I decided keratin would work because maybe loss of keratin from styling and I have fine hair and tight coils. It’s def helps detangling to be quicker and my hair doesn’t web around it’s self as much because it’s so smooth and frizz less

I’ve been on the fence recently about getting a keratin treatment especially after my coworker told me her experience with getting one. And when you said you recommend this treatment instead of perm I was instantly sold on it! I’m going book my local salon soon probably for the fall!💞
There are a few people who don't like it or feel like it's not a strong enough option for them and they end up going for the relaxer. I like this better though because sometimes people are just looking for a little relief or for their hair to be more manageable so this is perfect. Plus if you don't like it eventually it wears off. With a relaxer as we know you'll have to cut it out.
@@sevenzenhair67 yes I feel like this is the perfect option for me! I just need something that would make my thick hair much more manageable without going completely bone straight
I would definitely recommend it as a perm alternative as a cosmetology student. Perms are pretty harsh and are obviously going to destroy your curl pattern. This will increase manageability without taking too much of your natural curl out.
Thanks so much, I’m natural however it’s so difficult to comb through after working out, I’ve been thinking about a keratin treatment to manage my hair but I didn’t want to go straight this helps alot

You do not want to use a relaxer after the keratin. It will make the hair straight. The keratin can last a whole year if don’t sweat a lot. But I sweat a lot so I do 2 to 3 times a year. You can deep condition after the 3 days.
One of the worst things to do to your hair. Mine was snapping and falling out for months after. Ended up with half the hair on my head. Before was in great condition
@mandy carter I'm curious to know what you did. I've done a keratin treatment and it worked very well. I found you can do it based on your individual needs. It works even if you use half the amount of heat. Have done about 3 or 4 times.
Keratin can be used on ALL hair types! If it broke the hair or caused damage it means the Keratin was over saturated on the hair while applying! It takes literally a few drops per section
Happy New Year's! It looks very nice what a difference. She has that thick knotted hair real coarse! I think the thicker the better...but no matter how thick, medium or thin deep conditioners are a must!!😊😊😊
Did your client have high, or low porosity hair. I believe that the porosity type determines how good the outcome is. No one seems to talk about that. Like you, I don't use the hair grading system because I have way more luck with growing my hair by knowing about my hair's porosity type vs focusing on my hair grade. Please advise.
Wonder how her hair looks now🤔 because having 2 different textures of hair on your head can damage your hair especially when your hair is naturally very kinky, like mine.
Looks great but I would suggest detangling the hair and sectioning it off first before just going in with a small comb. As someone who is tender headed this gave me anxiety🥴
im super tendered headed as well. I detangle the hair with conditioner first to get rid of any tangles but then I have to shampoo with clarifying shampoo twice and let it sit for five mins. You can not add conditioner or even any other moisturizing shampoo. Must be the clarifying shampoo that comes with the keratin. The keratin once applied softens the hair to detangle it. It detangles the hair as well. So believe me I was not hurting her. Usually when there is any issue after applying the product it's because the person needs their ends trimmed.
I have very dyed 4c thick medium frizzy Afro hair and just bought 2 keratin straightening kits. I least got a look at the effects first before I think of using them! Check online reviews. Good to know! I tried Apoghee protein years ago and my hair was frizzy, hard and sticky! Hope the technology is better. Uk 🇬🇧
Hi 👋🏾 my Friend once again you have did an amazing job!Your client's hair is gorgeous 😍!!!!Love how you shaped her hair as well it made her hair look so healthy 💞💆🏽♀️💇🏽♀️💯
Loved this video. I have a question. After you wait the three days and wash it, do you need to blow dry and flat iron again to keep it straight or will it stay straight even if you air dry with no heat?
Regular heat over any relaxer has changed everything about my hair, from its health, its texture, manageability, ability to accept other treatments and THIS is my gripe about keratin treatments. I had had healthy relaxed hair that had elasticity, was mid back length, very full from root to tips and very manageable from the time my mom began relaxing my hair at 10. It took about a decade, but heat changed all of that. With roller setting my hair once a week and not manipulating or heat styling it afterwards during the week, it had all of thise qualities. Heat ruined my hair, not relaxers. I can't see how keratin is better for your hair. We're not talking about the preference of going to and from curly to straight because that's a different aim than simply having healthy hair. I think relaxer formulations, like many other things have changed for the worse, but if you can find a good one, get that and divorce direct heat styling.
I tried the keratin and it did not work as good as the relaxer. My hair does not feel as bouncy as it was and the style can't keep. I also experienced breakage
I did keratin treatments 3 separate times. The first time came out great, the second time was ok. The 3rd time left my hair so dry and my scalp so flaky it was embarrassing, and it took a long time to recover. I'll never get a keratin treatment again.
Thanks so much for the video.. it was great. I have a keratin in my hair and love how well you explained everything. My stylists have always washed my hair again after the flat ironing process and then blow dried my hair. Does that mean they use a stronger and maybe more damaging product? The one I used for the first 2 years also caused a huge amount of smoke when blow drying. Thank goodness the new one isn’t half as bad but the stylist does wash it out after the flat ironing process🤷🏽. Thanks again!!
This makes me think stylist was using this in my hair without me knowing because for some reason when they do my hair it’s a simple wash and blow dry. When I do my hair it’s hours and hours of detangling 😂😂😂😂. I’m sold on the keratin treatment from here on out 😭
lol they would have to take all these steps so I doubt it. plus this product cost money girl they would not add it without charging lol. its so much harder to do your own hair. That's why mine be in a bun 98% of the time
I have dry 4b and thin hair I have the Katina kit in my wish list I’m gonna take the jump and just do it when I get the money I can’t deal with my hair anymore
Hi, Seven Zen Hair 👋🏽 I’m about to do the keratin treatment on my 3c/4a hair. My question is: is the shampoo I use before the treatment supposed to have sulfate, since it’s supposed to rinse or should I also use sulfate free shampoo in that step? Thank you 🙏🏽♥️
Btw I’m using the Cliove products 😊 and second question is if it’s safe to apply the keratin close to the roots or 1 inch from them as other keratin brands?
For anyone wondering. I read the ingredients on the Cliove cleansing shampoo, and it does not contain sulfate. So sulfate free shampoo is ok, nonetheless I used regular head and shoulders (with sulfate) and got the same end results. I did apply the keratin close to my roots and it was ok, but it can irritate a bit if it touches the scalp.
Mi cyah bada enuh. Evryting aguh cause cancer. Cyah find nuttn fi mek mi hair just cyah wash an guh, les mi end up look like wah sheep deh pon mi head.
I don’t think this person wears wash and go’s. She doesn’t have curly hair. Most naturals with actual 4c hair ain’t so then because it’s just letting your hair dry matted up. It would probably look like the before picture.
I had a cocochoco keratin treatment. It was meant to wash out in 4-6 months. It has now been 12 months and has not washed out. Do you know of any products that will remove it from my hair.
Hello first time coming across your video. You did a nice job on her hair. How long does this product last on our hair being straight? My hair is natural, 4c hair type. If I wash my hair 2 weeks after the product was put on my hair, will my hair will still remain straight?. Is keratin straighten treatment the same product as a relaxer-(it has chemicals)? Please advise. Thank you
REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND, TURN FROM SIN AND TURN TOWARDS RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK SOON AND WE MUST BE READY FOR WHEN HE COMES BACK
What does keratin treatment look like on 4c hair that hasn't been flat ironed? I'm looking at the product to see if it will just make my natural hair more manageable but I don't particularly like the look of my hair when it's straight. I'm struggling to find any videos that show this or even what the hair looks like after a few washes.
I did a video showing that. Please look for it. Only thing is her hair isn't 4c. It makes it more manageable and it is very possible it'll define your curl pattern. If you do twist outs etc it helps the styles last longer
Do you have issues with how much product you use? I try not to use too much, it makes it worse when ironing and all that chemical is evaporating. I do leave the hair wet sometimes if it’s too porous but I haven’t tried to take excess out with a towel. I usually use the dryer not too hot but the iron pretty high 400 or higher, lower if it’s colored or highlighted hair. I turn on a fan and open the door, what do you do for ventilation? Honestly, that shiznit be killing me, between that and perms, Idk maybe after quitting smoking and having been doing this for so many years maybe it’s hitting me harder.

@mandy carter I'm curious to know what you did. I've done a keratin treatment and it worked very well. I found you can do it based on your individual needs. It works even if you use half the amount of heat. Have done about 3 or 4 times.
People never give the full story.🙄
@@cfoster6804because their aim is to fear monger, not tell the truth 😂
I’m getting this done today at 2:30pm. I’m excited.
How did you like your results?
Did you like your treatment?
How did it turn out?
Did the treatment last?
Well?
Keratin can be used on ALL hair types! If it broke the hair or caused damage it means the Keratin was over saturated on the hair while applying! It takes literally a few drops per section
You were really gentle with her hair! Great work.
Thank you! 😊
Happy New Year's! It looks very nice what a difference. She has that thick knotted hair real coarse! I think the thicker the better...but no matter how thick, medium or thin deep conditioners are a must!!😊😊😊
Happy new year!! I agree!!
@@sevenzenhair67 ☺❤
Keratin is not a permanent treatment or a relaxer. After six months the keratin treatment wear off and your hair is back to normal
In the video she said the hair was low porosity
Great job you are a bomb stylist, but I like how you got the hair in the back hanging on the wall hunny that made my day!🤣🤣🤣😊😂
Lol
You worked a miracle….im pissed I just booked a keratin treatment not knowing owing it was a harmful chemical 😢
Most keratin treatment has formaldehyde which is a known carcinogen ( cancer causing)
f*ckkk. guess i’m staying with ugly hair
Many don't. You have to make sure you get the 100% formaldehyde-free ones because they're out there
Client hair is beautiful before and after
Keratin is really good, for the hair.
I have very dyed 4c thick medium
frizzy Afro hair and just bought 2 keratin straightening kits. I least got a look at the effects first before I think of using them! Check online reviews. Good to know! I tried Apoghee protein years ago and my hair was frizzy, hard and sticky! Hope the technology is better. Uk 🇬🇧
Protein is only good if your hair is struggling breaking off etc. other wise it'll make it bad. Which kit did you get?
Hi 👋🏾 my Friend once again you have did an amazing job!Your client's hair is gorgeous 😍!!!!Love how you shaped her hair as well it made her hair look so healthy 💞💆🏽♀️💇🏽♀️💯
Thank you
Her hair came out beautiful 😍💕😊
I'm thinking about having this done for my daughter, she almost 12 and I need something to help me manage her hair better myself
Loved how you shared the process and l9v3d the process even more
Loved this video. I have a question. After you wait the three days and wash it, do you need to blow dry and flat iron again to keep it straight or will it stay straight even if you air dry with no heat?
I think the heat sets the straightening in.
i want to get this done tbh! you don’t believe in the grading system? i thought i was crazy for not believing in it as well. nice video
Big difference. Looks lovely
I did keratin treatments 3 separate times. The first time came out great, the second time was ok. The 3rd time left my hair so dry and my scalp so flaky it was embarrassing, and it took a long time to recover. I'll never get a keratin treatment again.
Excellent work as always!! Happy New Year ❤
Thanks so much for the video.. it was great.
No, it doesn't mean its stronger, Different brands just use different ways to do it.
I’m gonna be giving this a try as the only thing I haven’t tried in my head
Let me know if you try it
Love the style her hair looks like mine 🥰
This makes me think stylist was using this in my hair without me knowing because for some reason when they do my hair it’s a simple wash and blow dry. When I do my hair it’s hours and hours of detangling 😂😂😂😂. I’m sold on the keratin treatment from here on out 😭
lol they would have to take all these steps so I doubt it. plus this product cost money girl they would not add it without charging lol. its so much harder to do your own hair. That's why mine be in a bun 98% of the time
@@sevenzenhair67 lol maybe they just use keratin shampoo or something 😂
Maybe they're putting relaxer in the shampoo or conditioner! Some salons do this a lot. Be careful
I'm about to do my Kativa keratin kit, I don't like relaxers, too harsh on my 4c Afro hair. I find Keratin kits better for dry Afro hair. UK 🇬🇧
Excellent she should always use keratin
Mi cyah bada enuh. Evryting aguh cause cancer. Cyah find nuttn fi mek mi hair just cyah wash an guh, les mi end up look like wah sheep deh pon mi head.
Can you show this client in a wash and go also
I don’t think this person wears wash and go’s. She doesn’t have curly hair. Most naturals with actual 4c hair ain’t so then because it’s just letting your hair dry matted up. It would probably look like the before picture.
what is the difference between a keratin treatment and a texture release?
Keratin is temporary..but yes, a chemical.
Relaxers are permanent, not temporary
No your just wrong. Relaxers once applied are permanent. New growth never had it applied, that’s new hair.
@@KWells-mk1nh that has nothing to do with a relaxer being permanent.
Y’all funny in these comments 😂
Wait, if she washes her hair after this treatment, will it be same ? or straight?
You have done an amazing job, which are good products for this?
Hi could I ask what the straighteners you are using? They look amazing
I had a cocochoco keratin treatment. It was meant to wash out in 4-6 months. It has now been 12 months and has not washed out. Do you know of any products that will remove it from my hair.
Probably a few clarifying shampoos with sulfates will get the job done.
You trusted a hair product with the name cocochoco??🤣🤣
@@cfoster6804 😆 🤣
Love her hair looks silky
Excellent but you didn't show us how it turned out after washing the product!
She shampooed her own hair. She didn't come back in for me to do it.
Thank you
Such thick hair. Nice.
BEAUTIFUL OUTCOME❤️
Thanks for the video. Is keratin different from the chemical relaxers?
Happy New Year Daira , a great upgrade do.
This was awesome. I am researching salons in San Diego County. I wish you were near me.

How do you deal with growing roots afterwards?
Beautiful work!
This was very nicely explained thank you very much
Thank you for watching
Thanks for your channel.
Which brand is the best for that type of the hair?
Excellent explanation. Thanks.
What exact product is this?
What type of keratin did you use?
What's the difference between amino acid, Brazilian blow out, and other straightners. Which is safer?
Looks wonderful ❤
A question that has been buring me
How long does your hair last after this treament?? Like how long till it comes back to its original.
It is suppose to last 4 months however, depending on how often you shampoo your hair it can be less or more.
Too beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm trying to figure out if a keratin hair mask is the same as the treatment
I did a video showing that. Please look for it. Only thing is her hair isn't 4c. It makes it more manageable and it is very possible it'll define your curl pattern. If you do twist outs etc it helps the styles last longer
so relaxing and interesting to watch ❤
You did a wonderful job where are you located
