Had the Toyo G02 Winter tyres on my car (no longer available) and they were so incredible in the snow, that Toyo is my go to choice for winter tyres.
I hate that Toyo sponsors a lot of show cars and not a lot of track cars with their R888 and R888R tires. From a business standpoint it’s genius; they make a cool looking tire for cars that are made to look good and to hell with how it drives. But those tires are so incredible on the racetrack, yet they’re so crazy expensive and un-daily-able (?) with so few miles and so little grip in even light rain. I’d love to be sponsored by them and get R888’s for my future Miata track machine though..
Just purchased 4 new toyo tires , First time trying the brand I look up all the different reviews I could find before purchasing all was good so I went ahead and purchased for my Honda Accord! Ride feel extremely good so far!

When I was very young, I thought Toyo tires were tires made for Toyotas. Anyway, Pirelli tire is the video I look forward to most. They have some great prices on truck tires, but not many people realize it. They created an image of only making tires for really fast and expensive cars.

Those Proxes T1Rs grip really well in the rain. I have them in my Mazda2 DE, doing 160kph with the road looking more like a lake, never aquaplaned nor squirmed under heavy braking. Planning to install ATs on my new Mitsubishi Montero Sport soon. 😁

The best tire for the cost period.
Tried them based on recommendation from a friend who was a tire shop manager. He raced on the weekends and would always laugh watching the other drivers change out their wheels for the race.
He just ran his everyday Toyo tires. 😆
Toyo extensas are by far the best all seasons I have ever driven on in the snow. I have them on my miata and they make minnesota winters a breeze.

Dry grip is very good, when they warm up.

goodyear owns Dunlop.
Sumitomo has the Japanese manfuacturing of Dunlop, while Goodyear controls the European and North American arm. Sorry, it's a licensing portion on the part of Sumitomo, but it'd still be interesting to look at Sumitomo.

Same as above. Great traction and treadlife on my Potenzas, but they’re quite heavy and a little bit noisy.
Alex Nelson I've noticed that too, the sidewalls are super stiff but that's understandable for the small sidewall.

Bridgestone, specifically Potenza RE71R, 970AS, RE11, RE003, S04, S01, Driveguard runflats. The list goes on...def the premier brand out there and generally more affordable than some of these other specialty brands. Largest rubber company in the world, with some of the strictest quality controls. I know what I want on my car when my whole investment and life is riding on those 4 little contact patches.
toyo just released new all seasons that are rated to work in snow and mud as well. Some of the best jack of all trades all seasons on the market.
We'll have to do a review on it as soon as we get it ;)

Please add Federal Tires to the list or budget tires in general. There has been a lot noise and its hard to discern facts from opinion. It could even be broken down by classes: grip/track, drift, street. Don't forget Conti. Forgot to say thanks for all the good info and informative content.

I prefer my BFGoodrich tires but Toyo tires does make some great tires for drifting even though I love off-roading

Generic, but can you compare the Michelin Pilot Super sports to other UHP summer tires? I have 285/35/19 pilots for my rear yet I’ll be running as well as toyo t1 sports for my fronts in 255/35/19

i have toyo T1R's and i like them a lot. they have very good grip , they look agressive and the road noise is really good so they get a thumb up from me

Toyo R888, the golden trackday standard!
I think the normal all season Toyo Tires are quite cheap in comparison to the competition. My dad has been buying Toyo Versado tires for the last couple of years and he's very pleased.
The NT421Q we make are incredibly more smooth and quiet than the Versado, but don't last quite as long.

DO AERO COMPANIES LIKE VOLTEX AND VARIS
I had Nitto NT555’s on my Z and those had terrible grip and didn’t last long at all (but I’ll admit they did look nice). then I got Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ and hoomagoii grip for days, even in the rain. it was like a whole new car. Michelin forever 👌

Got a 95 Miata and I had to get new tires. The damm car had 14in wheels and thanks to trends of large low profile the main tire industry doesn't make tires in this size. It did open the market for horrible China tires.
Anyhoo, I went to 15in as there were still good brands being made in this size and started looking at reviews and the Toyo Extensa hp11 got really good reviews and was like me, cheap. I got a set and living on a county road with lots of curves I took them for a sort of how does it handle test and was very, very impressed. I hit some corners at some pretty scary speeds and if I didn't know any better I would think I was on summer tires. These are all season but they sure did the job very well.
I've had various Toyo tires on other cars like a Audi quattro, a Datsun 240Z and now a Miata and have been impressed with how well made they are and we sure as shit can't trust the China tires unless you prefer a sort of Russian roulette and have it blow out on you when you least expect it.. LOL...
