Thanks for the video. Helped me get started ('09 C30) but I FINALLY learned the key to making it easy. Just jack up the engine a bit from the bottom (use a block of wood) and it gets all the clearance you need! Can't believe it took me so long to figure this out!
Dude! How the hell did you get the air box out? I have disconnected everything but cant pull the damn thing out. Are there hidden bolts holding it in? Any help appreciated
Not really a good video, doesn't show what it takes to actually get it out. Here is what I suggest to make it easier: Remove the coolant reservoir (no bolts, just lifts off) Remove the bolts holding the front engine mount and the bracket around it (4, 15mm). This gives the engine the ability to be pushed back in the bay. Jack engine up for more room. Remove one screw that holds the wiring harness for the ECU bracket to the box (Torx T30) Remove air filter so you can stick your hand in and get a better grip. Pull up and slightly forward, the three push-in nubs can be seen, so pull in line with them. Mine was very hard since I had front end damage, pushed in front grill. Had to put a come-along on it to make room. I never did remove all the way, just enough to do what I needed.
