- In this video I will show you the 7.2 KW Fast Charger that we can get with the Nexon EV MAX and also talk about charging the car with the regular 3.3 KW portable charger that we get with the car, talk about some of the charging questions that many of you have asked, so that you have a better idea about charging the Nexon EV or the Nexo EV MAX and you can judge if you should opt for this optional 7.2KW charger.

Correction : Prime or MAX can charge on any KW DC chargers. However Prime has maximum charging rate of 22 KW/hr and MAX has maximum charging rate of 32 KW/hr. So even if you charge max on 50 KW charger its maximum intake won't be more than 32 KW/hr. This data was provided by Zeon charging.
Correction : Charging is never measured in KW/hr, it is always just the power rating like 22KW.
@@ashyouknow7420 Right. When KW/hr is mentioned it is obvious that it is rate of charging.
@@studyneetjeeupscsccgatecam1903 kW itself means kWh/h where the time unit cancels each other, it's unit of power=energy/time.
@@Amuzic_Earth Yes i stand corrected. Point is prime charges at 22 KW and Max at 32 KW.
hi I'm poor in physics
This car can charge faster than my redmi phone 😂😂😂🙏
Bad joke 😬
Samsung phone you could've said
Maybe try using 7.2KW charger for your redmi phone

I always thought EVs are trash before. But when fuel prices rise and some minor road blockage connecting my state, i was fed up and bought Ather 450x. I was amazed till today and my thoughts towards EVs has completely changed. I plan on buying EVs for my 4 wheeler also when i have the money. I also think that for Indian EV lovers, Tata has done a really great job as many EVs which are not Tata are always so pricey!
I believe for a Nexon EV there a warranty for the battery for 7 years. If it fails after that, a new battery will cost 7.5 lakhs.
If the motor fails, it'll cost 4.5 lakhs.
Ridiculous numbers.
Taking this into account, how is an EV economical compared to an ICE?
@@tanmaykelkar8444 its like thinking your ic engine fails after company warranty! Just understand that the battery that tata uses has 3000 charge cycle capacity. 300km range per charge means 3000*300=9lakh kms. The battery should last around this. And for the motor a very rare chance of failure. Even age old reva's are running good. For a person who uses a car intensively can save a lot. Driving feel of an ev is unmatchable.dont just think only about the economy. No sound ,no vibration, no gear shift delays, no gearbox problems,no jerk . Butter smooth ride.
@@turbocharged962 Dude we don't even have proper roads and infrastructure. wake up
@@shreyasdharashivkar8027 ok take an example
Daily drive 50km
Annual drive 18k km
Drive in 7years 126k km
Cost on petrol if price dont increase 6.3lakh
Cost on Elec if price dont increase 80k
So you save 5.5lakh on fuel alone.
Also in an ICE vehicle engine isnt covered/wear and tear of parts isnt covered but in Ev there isnt that many parts.
Also 7lakh price quoted was sticker price and no official price has been quoted yet
@@tanmaykelkar8444 u r assuming that battery price will remain same after 7 years!! I hope u r not running your phone on petrol because of battery insecurities
Finally good to see some regular content on this channel.

Question: Are there any special seat covers for the front ventilated Seats?
Need to know how does it feel like after coming from a low ground clearance car to high ground clearance car
Coz as u always loved sedans not the SUVs or high ground clearance cars
What is your experience with Nexon riding experience?
very helpful videos!👍
How about insurance goes for EVs? Do they cover batteries like in case of accidents etc. or just body parts and electricals?
Proud of our indigenous Tata motors 😍❤
Congratulations sir
sir can you make video on car buying / PDI / negotiation data points while talking with dealerships
Just a question, does tata suggest any method to hibernate the ev for several months? Say you are out of country for 6 straight months, how do you hibernate the car for that duration?
Sir, how many units taking to change from 1 to 100% ?
Hello Ranjeet, while installing charger do we need to increase the kilo watt load usually 5kw sanction load. Tata power do this or we have to do ? This will be helpful information
Hi Ranjit,
Loved this video. Wanted to know how much Kw load is needed for the 3.3 KW portable charger?
On road price , features and specifications, difference between variants ?
Hi Ranjit, What are the best EV charging app which you are using and recommend?
I have a query. Hope you reply.
With the regular charger if I put it on charge over night, will it stop electricity consumption once it's fully charged?
Hello Ranjith, the MCB, 10 sq mm cable and installation are free or do we have to pay for all this?
i have a query that would you use full charge or do the 90 percent charge
At the end you said We need to do more of slow charging... but which one is good the normal 3.3 kW Or the 7.2 kW. Whats your thought on this?
Hai Ranjit, hope you are doing fine.
I like to know about the rear seat comfort. I have heard some people say that you sit knees up in the rear seat. This is an issue especially for taller passengers.
Sir just wanted to ask does it start each time you plug in immediately?, as mine never happens the first time. I always have to remove and plug in the gun the second time for it to start
loving these Nexon EV videos! did tata supply all the required lengths of cables or you had to pay extra for it?
They give upto 15m cable free, for me it was 12M cable length from the meter so I didn't have to pay any extra.
Hey @GeekyRanjit, why did you didn't went with BYD car? Its range is better, and falls somewhere your vehicle price?
Hi Ranjith, Great videos, can u make a video of bt band best under 10k,same with earbuds, and y u moved to electric in the transition period, suddenly
it's a very good experience so far so good
300 km is a good range i believe.. hope will get 500-600 km per charge in the upcoming years .. with some raise in price
Hi Ranjit sir. Just a question how is your experience driving nexon?
How to check kw at home meter? Showroom person asked for 3 phase connection.
Hello Ranjit Sir!!!...Can you please share the dealer name you bought your nexon ev max?
Is there any idle power drain in EVs.. How is it in Nexon max ?
So you get a portable charger to carry around if in case you are on long trips?
Do we get subsidiary under FAME 2 ?
My dream car 🚗 already having ather scooter and loving it have to buy this soon electric is the future 🔥🔥
Please give full nerd stats like

Will the range estimate be consistent at Lower battery levels etc
From where did you get that the T-shirt camera ? And what do you use to film in the car ?
Good info 👍
Is it ok to continuously charge with 7.2kw charger?
Or does it require intermediate charging after every 3 otr 4 charge with 3.3kw charger
Can you do a review on the Suzuki grand vitara hybrid range
@geekyranjit: Currently my home has a single phase connection with a sanctioned load of 4 kw. Can I charge my car with a 3.3 kw AC charger and run 2 nos. of 1.5 TON ACs? Can a 7.2 Kw AC charger be installed in a house with single phase connection? Is it safe to charge my car with a 7.2 Kw AC charger and run heavy duty appliances like ACs, Geysers ?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice.
nice info sir, need more vlogs
Once it’s reaches 100% Will there be auto cut off in 3.3 kw which is the regular one?
Please make a video regarding exact range in city and on highway. Also per km cost

Will this 7.2 kW charger work on a Tigor 2022 model?
Hello sir..
I have been planning to buy this car from quite some time now . I just have 1 doubt in mind . I have a car parking but it's not covered. So will it be safe to charge this car in rains , imagine of a scenario i keep this car for charing over night . And it starts raining heavy . What will be the situation then? Will it be safe to operate the charger in rains ?? . Can you please give some information on this issue ..
So with 7.2Kw charger do we need to charge it by a 3.2 Kw charger after every three charges of 7.2 Kw charge?
Thanks for this informative video. I had a question. Usually, when we take electricity to our home it is 3 or 4 KW from the electric board. You said, you have 40KW. Any specific reason for the same.
It's a three phase house, even in our old house that is three phase the load sanctioned is 25 KVA. This is a far bigger property... got it doubled checked it's 50KVA allocation for this location.
If you have 3-4 AC running continuously with other heavy appliances in summer you need at-least 15KVA allocation, most independent house, villa do get at-least 20 KVA with 3 phase connection.
I would like to add that AC charger is where input at CCS 2 port is AC and DC charger is where input to CCS 2 port is DC. In AC charger onboard AC to DC convertor is used while in DC charger no conversion required. All AC charger has SMPS circuit in the charger to regulate 230 Volt AC and current capacity also to handle rated current. That's why 7.2kwh charger has large size to handle heavy current. While in DC fast charger DC convertor is it self in charging station. When we connect gun to port, BMS checks the maximum charging current getting and shows the time for charging accordingly
are you sure that you have 40 kw load in your single phase? because when I checked in my place they said, in single phase max 5 kw is supported. Please can anyone reply on this?
Hi Ranjit, I have recently purchased a Nexon ev , along with this an AC 7.2kw fast charger is also provided and have now been installed at my home. I came to know that slow charging is what is recommended for battery health in the long run, so I have a doubt whether what they mean by slow charging is the 3.2kw slow charger
Sir Is there possible for one RFID card for all company chargers.
What if we are going on a long drive or something ? Is it practical to charge the car even in 40 to 50 minutes ? I think that's where ev becomes impractical as of now.
How much did you pay for the 7,2 kw charger?
Sir, how many units will i get on rs 300 or rs 500 from tata power ez charge?
Nexon prime support 7.4kw charger?
Hi Ranjit, thanks for making this video. does tata provides the 7.2KW charger with-in or it's extra price?
Only 15 meters free for 10sq mm cable and mcb are free of cost
Hi Ranjit. If possible try to make few video6on personal finance, investments and related things.
Can we charge wotu kia dc fast charging station 150kw??
Could you please tell me the cost of this fast charging station.... And can I install in my parking space of my apartment...
Hello Ranjith sir, even we bought the same car and there is a range drop considerably after 1 month of usage(250-270km) so kindly check the same with ur car as well
No issues like that for me....... now driven about 900 kms..... I am driving anywhere between 45 to 90 kms per day. Use it in CITY mode I am not getting good range in the ECO mode...... Also try charging once by taking it to a low charge like 15% to 100% in one full charge slow charge with the regular portable 3.3KW charger, if any in-balance in the battery it would be balanced out.
yeah, try discharging the battery till 2-3% once, and then fully charge with a slow charger. that calibrates the battery.
I have run my ev around 3500kms and without ac it goes above 300 if not pushing accelerator hard and with ac around 270-280
Sir did you bought villa ??
do we need 10 sq mm for 7.2 kw charger?
I hv 5kw home load(3phase) living in apartment... I have to install 7.2 ke home charger... should I increase the home load to 10kw or 5kw connection will do the job
Could you also try some long drives and give us info about charging infra for intercity travel?
Hyd to bangalore can be a good option or even Hyd or Vizag
How do you take care of the charging in an appartment building, that's the problem.
How do I charge the car if I have street parking
Hey Ranjit! My dad wants to buy the Baleno. Can you make a comparison with the Nexon EV Max or the regular variant so that we can know which car is more beneficial as far as money is concerned in the long run?
Baleno dont buy that 💩
@GeekyRanjit Rides & Vlogs, is there an RFID authentication on normal 3.5 KW charger, too?
No

What is the difference between nexon ev max xz+ lux and 7.2 acfc…
And how do I know that my car is of which variant.??

Ranjit, what is the cost of 7.4kW charger
What is the price of this 7kwh charger
40kW load in your house? I would like to know how you calculated your house's load. Please make a video on this since electricity connection and solar will become very important in the future.
If you are paying more for the Fast charger it should have a feature or option to select to slow charge as well.. just a feature that can be added
They are charging for the infra I think rather than electricity cost.
@@TargetGadget yea agreed, the device costs a lot. From this video understood that the Fast charge will only charge at full speed and cannot slow down. They can put a Software or Hardware feature so the user/car chooses to charge slowly it should be possible
@@SwatejK there are third party chargers now which you can select the amp
So whats the the cost of electricity consumed? How much 1 Km costs?
Moved to villa ?
does the apartment society accepts the laying of 7.2 KW wiring in the parking lot ?
Ranjit can u list the reason behind going for Nexon ev max and not any other ev vehicle?
2 reason are there
1. Nexon providing best in it's price
2. Desh ka loha .....
I am also owning a Nexon Ev max top of the line model
@@karanpandey4836 I’m also sir 🤙
There were only 2 options for less than 25L in India, this Nexon EV Max and MG ZS ev and i found the Nexon to be better and more value for my needs and the features I wanted. Also I had very good experience with my Tiago and trust with Tata was also a factor.
@@RanjitKumar How about electric cost and how will we charge when in highways? Or is it only for city travel? And what is the cost of battery replacement?
Hi, I heard that if your energy meter doesn’t have support for 7.2 or more kw this charger can be set/underrated by a setting to charge the car at 3.3kw. Can you please confirm this setting as this will help not overloading the home energy meter but still have an onboard 7.2 kw charger option with car to enable fast charge during travel.
Yes you can use the charger at 2 settings 7.2 or 3.3. But only Tata Power can switch the settings. I am using it at 3.3 for now
This charger is shipped with default current setting at 13A... It's can be changed as per requirement through application..Max current it can deliver upto 32A..
Can we charge any car using this charger?
What's the effect on battery due to charging them with different chargers? Do we see a drop in the performance? Is it recommended to charge with only one to get better performance in the long run?
It is very interesting question. As the chemistry is changing so is the battery capacities as well as charging. Keeping it simple:
Charging it using the regular slow Level1 chargers 1.1 to 3.2Kw and the Level2 (wall chargers) 7.2Kw - 11.5Kw and charging the battery only to 80% and not letting the battery go below 20% will be optimal for the battery life
it extends the battery life from 300 cycles (if you discharge to near 0 and change to 100 every time) and you do this once a week, your battery will last (300cycles x 7weekly) / 365 days = 5.75 years or lower. However if you keep the battery between 20% - 80% most of the time the battery life can increase to 1000+ cycles and that would mean your battery can last 16 to 20 years.
Actually some car, phone, laptop manufacturers auto cut off at 80% (it shows 100% for us) but the battery is bigger and is actually using 80% - Hence, increasing the battery life with out our control (smart). Hope this helps.
Tata recommends charging to 100% as it does some battery calibration or conditioning which will help improve battery performance and durability.
Mobile phones batteries work in a different way where it is better to keep the battery level between 20-80%
Hi sir what is the cost of this charger?
Ranjit, only concern for me to take an ev is charging, we stay in a apartment can you cover what is the process to install these in apartments and does tata help us here?
Check with your apartment society if they have a common 16AMP socket or will they allow you to install one in your parking slot.
In our society they have a common 16AMP socket for EV charging which is attached to a meter. So while charging we take the meter reading and pay the amount directly to the society after charging the car.
Changes for next nexon ev
1.:) change media screen size (now 7 inch) change atleast 10 inch with rotation facilities
2.:) Change the position of charging point, front number is a good area, some video review mension that the charging compartment filled with mud and water so please aware of that
3.:) Provide ventilated seat swich to sentral console system near the rotary nob
4.:) Increase the Central console system height a little more and put some angle like Lamborghini style......
5.:) Wireless charger position is very annoying and it decreases the premium quality. Change the position
6.:) Provide Moonroof
7.:) Electricaly adjest seats
10KW+ load in a small town will result in a very high electricity bill... As tax per kw is rapidly increasing... for instance, I am currently using only a 3KW load for my home..
Does these charges has auto cut post 100 % ??
Iike if we stay on 10th floor difficult to track
Obviously they auto stop at 100%
What does this car costs as a whole with extra 50k charger and insurance and everything
Diesels are best. They give good economy, good performance. Always ready just takes few minutes to fill full tank and range of around 500-600 kms.
Small diesel engines are going to be dead after April 2023 - read about Real Driving Emissions norms 😛😛
sir you had booked baleno for your father a few months ago and said that there's a waiting period of 3 monnths. What's the status for that now
Cancelled it coz even after 6 months they were saying don't know when will the car come.
how much does if affect on your electricity bill ? Does it increase 2 / 3 folds ?
depends on usage obviously, approx 300-400rs per full charge.
