      The future is definitely EV
      But at TATAs current EV plans, they are definitely not the future
      It would definitely be either TESLA or BYD
      Although I wish TATA would accelerate development of pure EV platforms

    10:05 The charging station will show the error in case there is some error in the charging station. But if the vehicle is having some issue, vehicle won't show any error codes. It may maximum show the message "Charging fail detected". That also in newer vehicles only. Does that mean chargers are more intelligent and user interactive than EVs?

      @@vivekvivekahuja Thanks for your reply Sir. I am not telling about "NO EARTHING" or "IMPROPER EARTHING" error and associated jugad earthing. I am talking about "VEHICLE EARTH LEAKAGE" error where first two green LED won't glow, third green and fourth red led will blink. Most of the cases it can be simply cleared by resetting the EVSE by turning ON EVSE without connecting to car. It's relatively rare case and if it comes in the group, we will advice. But there will be lot of owners who won't know about this. And even in this official video they suggest to plug the charging gun and after that turn ON the EVSE. I also think that's the correct method. But if the vehicle earth leakage error comes, user will retry with same procedure and the issue will persist.

      @@goodwilllibrary8151 It will be partially jam in some cases. I personally know an owner whose gun broken into two pieces on the second charging cycle at home. He might have got a defective charging gun locking mechanism, but he is not exactly aware of the force he was supposed to provide. His initial charges from FC as slow charging point is not fixed. Considering the effort required in FC big guns, the small gun requires only less effort and he was not aware.
      Unless TATA is providing a status for lock/unlock it is literally not possible to know the status of gun. I am using Nexon EV for last 3 years. I need to put my hand below the locking mechanism and check the clearance of the mechanism to ensure whether gun is locked or not before pulling it out (like a cave man).

    Tata is stuck at 30 kw dc fast charging. China is installing 350 kw dc fast chargers. Please shift to latest tech. Fast charging is key for EV adoption

      Please understand.. Tata are not manufacting ev. They simply assemble. Batteries which are hearts are bought out, motor drive train bought out , electrical chargers bought out Dc to Ac inverter bought out ... Car chaisis and painting is usual production job.
      There is no real R&D work. Tata ev are "Delhiwala assembler car ". No innovation anywhere. Lets be frank.

      Even installing that 30 kw dc fast charger is difficult in our country. The grid is already overloaded. Have spoken to some petrol pump owners. They have stated this as the major issue in setting up charging station. We need a scientifically smart govt. Not some propaganda oriented, inefficient, incapable people.

      @@palanik1960They cater to the consumer demand. We have much lesser demand than china. Far lesser consumers. Too much income inequality is killing innovation. Smart scientific govt is needed.

      Distribution companies are the problem here which are under different state governments. Attempt to privatise them have proven to be very difficult. I doubt grid overload should be an issue at this point of time. We are talking just 60kw chargers.

      Only Tesla and maybe Byd are 2 companies with Max vertical integration. At least tata is assembling and giving EVs. Look at the great maruti suzuki, they don't even dare to give an EV option.

    Unless product similar to Tesla supercharger with proven track record of reliability is available,many will sit on the fence about buying an EV even if they mostly can charge at home.
    Options and flexibility are important for mass adoption.

    0:31 Even in this video you are stating 3.3kW but all you vehicles limits the charging power by 2.65kW even if we use 16A EVSE. TOO BAD.

    • @goodwilllibrary8151
      @goodwilllibrary8151 5 місяців тому +1

      depends on the wiring cable's cross section which is used for the power socket. use min. 4 sqmm 3 core wire cable for the power socket to achieve 3.3 kw charging. for 7.2 kw charger use min 6sqmm 3 core cable. however it may reduce the load automatically if the power socket or vehicles battery temperature is high.

    • @svXPs
      @svXPs 5 місяців тому

      @@goodwilllibrary8151 2.5 sq.mm. can support upto 16A current. With 230V, it can provide upto 3.68 kW.
      When using a 16A EVSE, an EV with 3.3kW or 7.2kW OBC should take atleast 3.3kW at 230V. But all TATA vehicles takes upto 2.65kW only. You may check it. It is not while overheating. During overheating it may be reduced to 6A.
      However if you select 16A mode in a 32 EVSE, vehicle will take 3.24kW. ie., If we buy a 16A EVSE and use, the vehicle will limit power to 2.65kW (I don't think that restriction is there in protocol), but when we select same 16A mode in a 32A EVSE, it takes 3.24kW.
      So literally, with 13A EVSE provided by TATA, all the TATA EV users will be able to get maximum of 2.65kW only (eventhough 2.99 kW is possible at 230V or 3.18kW at 245V).

      @@goodwilllibrary8151it's not wiring related. The onboard charger itself limits to under 3KW power but everywhere they say it charges with 3.3KW. There is huge difference in overall charging time.

Due to rain there is big power cut and no chargers were working in 50-60 kms i have to wait many hours.. Otherwise there are many chargers available on highway now..
