Anti seize on the new sensors threads, makes life a whole lot easier the next go around
New sensors should be coming with anti-seize already applied -- if you're buying the sensor from Cummins.
Mine is spn 3216, low input voltage. Does that mean it's bad or just a loose connection somewhere? Truck still runs like normal.
Will heating it make it easier to loosen?
If your positive that the sensor is bad, I cut the pig tale off and put a deep socket right onto the old sensor, makes life a lot easier
Cummins analyzes core returns to help improve the product. If you cut off the probe, that analysis is lost.
$250 core charge

Why you changing it ? How do we know we have a bad sensor ?
Also the is a core charge on the old sensor so don't cut the wires in an effort to remove it.good vid.

Thanks for your time to show us.
Can I drive the truck if I get the Nox sensor intake code? Or I need to get it in the shop asap
I changed nox sensor now I'm getting a 1569 fmi 31 code any help?
What size socket did you use? And what year and model truck? Thanks for the video
how much it cost for the inlet nox sensor&outlet sensor??i heard they cost over $600+??
Yep. Around there, each.
Thanks for putting up this video. How much did you buy it.
If you go to the dealership they are around 6-700.00 Amazon 225.00
Where is the outlet nox sensor?
I'm trying to buy one of those sockets, what size is it if you don't mind?
Carlos Jimenez its a snap on part number, swr2.
22mm hex
on a 2020 pete how often does this thang need replacement on average and thanks for posting the video -pawpaw
2020 X15 is an excellent vintage for NOx sensors. You should be good to at least 7k engine hours.
@@omegaqed8592 Last engine that I replaced both NOx sensors had a little over 8000 hrs on it.
Is the 8mm a semi deep?
What's the part number for the sensor
part number?
What is the caused to drop the oil to 25psi while driving?
Number of things. Just engine having high mileage, old oil, change oil filter would be first place to start.
Where’s your shop located?
Lee Hill sacramento, CA
Is it cm2250 or cm2350 ? And did you say they go out after 20k miles?
Preet Singh thought he said 400K
How much this sensor bro ?
like $130 bucks
After installing it, the def light came on.

Agave Bob id check voltage going to nox sensor, if its good then replace sensor cause its problly just shorting out
@@BulletMcNugget do you have to put a scan tool on it to remove check engine light? or will it go off after replacement?

You'll get the check engine light. The engine info will say "see operators manual"
Next time heat it up for a minute with the torch, it comes out right away.
Rather listen to the work in action over that crappy noise/whatever.
I came here to watch a man replace the nox sensor not some music video.
And this is the outlet box sensor on the Cummins isx correct
this is inlet.
Good job
Just cut the wires and use a deep well socket. The sensor is bad.
I've found a closed end wrench is even better than a socket.
That's funny man
My inflow is still an oe part
But I replaced my outflow when I did an scr replacement.
And I'm @687914 on the clock
How much cost scr
If your inlet NOx sensor is still original at that mileage, I'm 100% certain it is no longer functional. 😆
