    If you want to clean the ports under the Delta pressure sensor, you can start the engine and it will blow out the loose soot, with or without the sensor being plugged in. It will most likely throw a code, but it will go out soon after you have the sensor reinstalled.

    Great video,I checked those 2 sensors and they are red,so i guess they have not been charged.
    Right now I have 549143 miles on my CM2350. I'm getting around 7.8 to 8.0 mpg(8,6 when loaded 10000 pounds,7,3 on 44000)I'm also having dead axle on my back, maybe that's why my mileage is so good.I Will check all your videos and all I can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR DOING THIS VIDEO,IT HELPS ME AS FIRST TIME OWNER OPERATOR VERY MUCH AND EVERYBODY ELSE,YOU ARE A GOOD MAN,THANK YOU,THANK YOU....

    Thank you for this. I’m currently broke down because of my def system in my 2014 660. I don’t know exactly what’s wrong but the code is saying it’s the def something. I was panicking because I can’t go over 5 miles an hour and didn’t want to have to get a tow. Last one cost me 3500 for 11miles when I had to get a new ecm put in a couple weeks ago. Showing me what to disconnect so I can drive it to the shop tomorrow morning when they open is a life saver!! Thank you

    • @bcm20003

      Dude towing should be no more than 5 bucks per mile then there's the hookup fee 350 or less. Good luck next time.

      Remove the clamp on exhaust pipes between turbo and SCR in, you will have turbo pressure code on but dpf code maybe gone and you can drive normal but lack of turbo power on the hill

    SUBBED!! I'm about ready to stop taking my cascadia to dealerships at all...they never seem to want to just do what you ask them, they don't seem to be able or willing to diagnose the ROOT of the issue without replacing everything just short of the one thing that needs attention, and they break other things on the way there that they want you to then pay for. With information like this video, all I need is my own garage and invest that 10,000 in tools and I could fix my own rig, THE FIRST TIME.

    Other than the sensor that you call a delta P. The IMAP and the doser valve, can be cleaned. They actually sell a kit for the doser. Some come with a new high temp zip tie and new bolts. Most just the new gasket and thermal biscuit. I've been doing it for years. You can use brake clean on the IMAP but it leaves a little film, no problem it's okay. I use electronic cleaner. Or you can use starting fluid.
    Your IMAP and doser will last for years. You can also clean your EGR valve.

    Coming out of Colorado this week the truck started surging and going into 25% derate as I was coming down Vail pass... WTF?. Pulled over shut it down restarted and all was fine again .. WTF? Two days later it did it again. I remembered this video and replaced the three sensors (Imap, delta and egr temp ) BAMM back in business. Your right about the engine years. If the sensors are sooted up, you have other problems, if you replace sensors and keep driving all you are doing is fixing a symptom not the root problem. Trucks come in all the time. Could be a egr cooler going bad egr valve or just a calibration fix. Take your engine serial number with you buy parts sometimes they change part numbers old part number may not show this

    • @MakeCentsTrucking
      @MakeCentsTrucking  7 років тому +1

      Atik Ahmed confused is normal. I'm still confused about what I got myself into lol just check it out real good. It more than likely has a cm2250 like my t660 did. Good engine beside the flaws. Pull crank case filter and see if any sludge is in there, it will look like a milkshake if it's bad...head gasket or known dropped liner, usually 5/6. Then make sure it's had fuel pump replaced. They had a recall on the ceramic plungers. Also bad tappets. Those issues has caused a ton of inframes.
      If not, replace fuel pump. They'll go out with no warning and ruin the engine. That's what I would be checking out

    Try running the Pittsburgh Power fuel catalyst additive. It specifically reduces the soot build up. I've noticed my engine doesn't require parked Regens very often and I do idle when it's cold or hot outside. Also, the truck uses much less def. Just saying.

    I have a 16 volvo 780 2350 Cummins, fuel mileage is garbage! Average about 5.9 mpg. Tried replacing I map sensor but Cummins and volvo dont seem to know what it is. I also tried calling it an mass air flow sensor. I ended up going to volvo pointing it out on another truck they called it a boost sensor!!!?? I'm puzzled

    What do you use to clean the soot out of the pipe there? Thanks.

    • @MakeCentsTrucking
      @MakeCentsTrucking  7 років тому

      Success Is My Duty starting with the cm2250, they opened up the intake. I cleaned my 2011 t660 with a 2250 and and learned it’s not as tight as the Venturi tube on the 871. I won’t take off the tube on this one. A cm2350. But, if I did, I’d use carb cleaner. Just don’t use brake cleaner. It’s like a soot magnet.

    • @workingmansteve987
      @workingmansteve987 7 років тому +1

      MakeCents thanks man. I've got a 2014 Cummins isx15 and the setup is different design then yours. Looking like a more complicated design but I'm gonna give it a go slowly. You think I should Locate all the sensors first and then get to the tunes?

    • @MakeCentsTrucking
      @MakeCentsTrucking  7 років тому +2

      If you tune and de lete, id pass up the sensors. If you do a de lete the sensors wont be used anymore. So if your keeping emission, yes change out the sensors. It very well might have a cm2250 if you have the Cummins. Look on data plate on ECM and it should say

    • @d-railed3917

      Timothy Mcvay What did you find? Also is good practice to take the three bolts out of the DEF doser and pull it back to see if there is crystallized DEF stopping it up not allowing it spray. Once you get to it you'll need a 5mm allen wrench. If you have build up, you will need to remove the flex pipe and clean out all of the DEF. Also the doser has to replaced due to the doser not sealing up and it's dribbling out instead of spraying. Make sure they replaced the pump and not the doser. Let me know bud I'm curious.

      Turtle Largecar_operator lol yea I have a feeling I’m going to hit a bump tomorrow and mine will stop working. I’ve got them bolts tightened up good but I feel a solder joint is going to break inside the ECU and it stops working tomorrow some time 😎😎👌

      MakeCents I gain all that bottom end torque back. I can feather the throttle on hills now. Really makes driving an isx fun again. I went from otr to oilfield with my truck and it only made sense to get it “n14’ified”. I only regret not hitting that “bump” sooner.

    I have a client with this exact problem, he has an amber check engine light (which is because of the EGR differential pressure sensor) and it was clogged with carbon buildup; would you recommend to remove the EGR valve itself and blow it out or would the carbon cycle out once the new sensor is put in?

    • @MakeCentsTrucking

    The 2012 and 13 ISX was the worst we've run in 40 years. Some of it may be bad luck but I don't think so. Every one of them blew multiple head gaskets and heads. My advice is run those for 300,000 so and trade immediately.
