Also - what's your answer to this episode's question: Have you been pregnant? Will you be pregnant?

The closest I hope to ever come to being pregnant is when I, myself, was the pregnancy.

I always laugh at the fact that we measure pregnancy based on the first day of the last period.
By that calculation, I got pregnant before I even met my wife, and was pregnant for a whopping 3 years!
What happened was I started T, and was on the last few days of what turned out to be my last period the week I met my now wife.
A few months later, I started birth control.
Flash forward 2 years, we get married, I stop T and birth control (my wife is mtf).
And before I ever got my period back, I was pregnant. 👍
Cue very confused receptionist when I first went to the doctor and they ask when my last period was. 🤦‍♂️

I was the same as Rebecca for both my kids. Pregnancy was not a problem at all. Hormones absolutely destoyed me for the first six months after having the baby though. Now my youngest is over 2 and a half I'm feeling better and less hormonally affected

You can also have too much HCG for certain types of pregnancy tests. There have been cases of people getting a negative on a pregnancy blood test, typically late first trimester if I'm not mistaken, because the level overloads the test threshold.

Hypothesis: I think "injecting" frogs with pee is easier than you'd think. They partially respirate through their skins by taking in oxygen from water. So, I think if you pee on them ....the pee just goes in 😂
    CANNOT CONFIRM JUST A GUESS.

Then we have how big hcg molicules are and if they are small enough to go through the skin
      I need answers

Pregnancy is so weird and so hard to understand without experiencing it yourself. I'm pretty sure my daughter kicked me in the heart at one point. My son didn't turn round as early so he kicked me more in the bladder I think. I found miscarriage more memorable than birth for some reason

Had 3 pregnancies, never want to do pregnancy again. Giving birth...I'll skip to that part any time!
1 prem birth, 2 further homebirths (the 2nd homebirth (baby 3) was just automatically booked as homebirth as 2nd birth was so fast...yup, good plan, 3rd birth was even faster 😂) The NHS in my area had homebirth nailed, brilliant service ❤

I don't know if it has been mentioned in an episode already, but getting pregnant is not as easy as they make it sound at school... I had been terrified of getting pregnant about every time I had sex until a year ago I learned that you can only get pregnant when you ovulate. So taking account that sperms can live up to 5 days waiting the egg, there is literally only 5 days of month when there is a chance of getting pregnant. I get that it can be hard to estimate your ovulation day, especially if you have irregular periods. But lots of people do have regular cycles and knowing you actually can not get pregnant every day of the month reduces a lot of stress.
Anyway I hope someday to use this knowledge to get pregnant but not anytime soon.
Big congratulations to you Luke and Rebecca!! 🎉

If anyone is interested, this is how pregnancy tests work :
There are monoclonal antibodies on the strip, which will bind to the hormone HCG if it present
There are two sets of these monoclonal antibodies on the strip
The first set, on the right side, are fixed to the strip
On the left side is where the urine goes, also here, are more monoclonal antibodies, which this time are covered in tiny blue beads, are not fixed to the strip
If you pee on it and u are not pregnant, the urine will wash the unfixed monoclonal antibodies and the blue beads along the test strip, past the fixed monoclonal antibodies, and so will not go blue
If you pee on it and u are pregnant the HCG hormone will bind to the non fixed monoclonal antibodies ( that have blue beads attached to them ) and then as these move up, it will also bind to the fixed monoclonal antibodies and the blue beads get stuck in place
    Creating the blue line

    The follow up sounds adorable!
To answer the early q's, Some reptiles, sharks, and seahorses are viviparous! (Giving birth to young rather than laying eggs)
When an egg laying species has an egg ready to lay, she's "gravid". Yeah, I don't love it either but it feels suitably uncomfortable
