I have a 193T and the 2511T, both with muffler mods and tuned. The Echo smokes the Stihl with the same mods. But you definitely need the Egan Performance Pipe to wake up the 2511.
Great little saw. I highly recommend a narrow kerf setup, bumper spike, and open up the exhaust. The best bang for your buck is a bar (SKU# WPAL 12 UM43) and chain (SKU# ORF 90PX045G) from Bailey's. A carb tune after break-in requires pulling the red caps. That's a good time to open up the exhaust a bit. It struggles to idle when the air filter is plugged, so that's a good indicator for maintenance time. That little ripper should serve you well for years. - Richie
Best top handle ever imo, definitely needs at least an exhaust mod and pop the limiter caps off the carburetor and tune it. That's all I've done and it's always my 1st top handle I reach for.
@@jpoorr9973 I've got 1 of those too and yes it's absolutely excellent and far more powerful than the 2511t but I'm taking my Echo all day over my hotrodded 200t
Thanks for the video I’ve been looking for a dressed weight of the 2511. The 355 just for everyone’s info, is comparable to a Stihl 200/201t cuz it’s 35cc. Any chance you could do a weight comparison of the (non clam) 2511 and clamshell zenoah 25.4cc joncutter/neo tec/ holz/chainsaw chainsaw +++ saw?? I’m still looking through the library maybe I can find it but thanks if you do. My 193t is getting heavy…
Do not purchase. Worst saw ever. Bought a brand new one. Ran 2 tanks of Echo 50:1 fuel & chain oil at idle for break in. Chainsaw will not idle at stock in 30 degree weather in WI. Had to adjust idle screw to run lean at 3700 rpm just to keep from dying. Engine sputters every couple of seconds like it's going to die. Engine bogs a bit at full throttle. These saws are only for arborist or professionals as tuning is required. I have a 15 year old CS-310 that has never been tuned, cleaned or maintained & it still starts on the 1st pull.
You seem to be the typical homeowner that expects gas power tools to run flawlessly without any knowledgeable adjustments. Spend a few minutes to learn how to adjust them and you won’t be misleading people with uninformed advice to not purchase a perfect good saw.

That saw eventually needs to be added to my collection. Ever since I handled one at the dealer, it has been on my mind. Incredible tool!

Looks like a great arborist saw. I'm sure it would rip right through any limb. I kinda want one now.
i like it. the only other small ones were the homelite xl2 and redmax had a small 25 cc saw they claimed the lightest

Why didn’t you just use your warranty and get a new one?
@@IndianaDoug Planning to. Just warning people that it might not meet people's expectations. Wish I could just refund. lol.
This is my first one, but it’s been great through 2 tanks so far. I’ve heard nothing but great reviews.

@rubentrujillo2013 Why should an average person have to make an adjustment to a brand new chainsaw (with the exception to high aptitude)?
