It’s more about getting the chain back of if it throws it without have to take your clutch cover off

I have a 2005 6400 and a 2007 7900 dolmar and use them a lot every year since I bought them and never had any problems out of either wouldn’t trade them for any other saws period!

I grew up in this. 6th generation and it was the family tradition. We got started over in Sweden and then in 1843 the family came to the U.S. and worked across the northern states and into Canada and down into Washington.

I used to do something similar with a small vise that cost about $5. Clamped it onto a pipe so the chains are up high and could see better. Even scribed a 45 degree line on it to help lining up the file Took a lot if practice but im happy doing it all on the bar now but it's a great idea when starting to file square

does that Farmmac have open ports?

I have one as home owner. Only use a few times a year. It cuts really well if chain is sharp. You cannot expect top level performance from an entry level saw lol.
