I’m not saying that GITMS is queer oral history in action, but I am saying that GITMS is queer oral history in action. Maddy, your show is, in its own way, an important contribution to queer history. Stuff like this would typically be relegated to books (which unfortunately in this day and age are at risk of being banned), so having this be on UA-cam to be easily accessible to anyone is providing an outlet for queens to recall their experiences and shine a light on their life journeys as queer people in a controversial occupation, as well as provide queer youth with a very open look into their idols and the experience of being queer in years past.

One day, the world knows about how religion oppressed queer youth and brainwashed their mind until the point that they have to question everything to gain truth when they grow up(Kerri Colby). These drag queens are real queer people facing real cultural challenges. When time pass, their experience get down to the drain of time, and disappear forever. These interviews are important for that reason. It's about very vulnerable people from underpresented subgroups struggle in the length of time.
name a queer person that is doing what Maddy is doing while also being as knowledgeable as Maddy is. Can't think of a name without googling? Don't actually have a good example? No one said Maddy is better at being a homosexual, he's just actually a good person with a lot to offer that many queer drag queens cant even offer. The likelihood of this being seen is slim but I do hope you see it if you do videos like this in the future.
When you have the terms on screen at the bottom, sometimes the CC or subtitles will cover them, making them unreadable, and usually meaning you have to turn off CC which for HOH/Deaf people, could make us miss out on what’s being said!
Maybe if you do another video like this, could the terms or whatever may be on screen be put in a corner or across the top for better readability? ☺️
