long time furry here! and yes, I work in a big scary tech job keeping the internet alive! it's so surreal and amazing to be acknowledged by you both as financially generous to artists - honestly it's a big part of furry culture to pay artists what they're worth, and a lot of us love drag too, and come to your shows!
My partner is a furry artist and mentioned we're not doing so well at the moment (housing stuff). One of his followers immediately sent him $500 anonymously, and a bunch of others also donated, completely unasked. Sure, the community might have some drama, but it's also home to some of the kindest people you can imagine!
as one of the many struggling-to-survive artists out there, and being in and a part of the furry fandom myself - y'all are godsends, and i sincerely hope you know how much you help us out and how much you're appreciated. i would not still be alive if not for folks like you.
