      They do shoot well man. They are a little heavy for the speed but still shoot well and if you pace yourself fatigue won't be an issue.

    I was happy to see you talk about long draw(butterfly) with thin bands. I have been shooting 9.5 lead with .5 snipersling for hunting. Anyway, thanks for reviewing these, I've been curious about them!

      I prefer the .45 jinpu. Find it has a better draw.

      Thank you mark. I scrolled through all your videos about jinpu band and see you prefer .45. To be honest, I like the way you try all kinds of bands and experiment with them. I bought a universal taper ruler because I want to see which taper suits me. Like you said, one should not shoot using more than .50 band. Cheers bro. Can’t wait for your next video. 😊

    Do You try any other dimensions (than 24-12) with new bands trying to find better working option ?

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  2 роки тому +2

      There may be a better working option but I do this so they can be compared with the other bands. Usually when I shoot I use 22-12. It is slower but I find I have better accuracy.

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  2 роки тому +1

      I often try different tapers. But for 8mm steel I have found to be the fastest. Really when shooting the shooter will have to do some experimenting. If you like speed or light draw you will make your bands really differently.

    I have been playing with and test the .40 and .45. I’m preferring the .45. I did also just start my own UA-cam channel that I have a video using the .40.

    • @ATOMark

      Out of the .45 and .5 I prefer the .45 too. The draw vs speed in the .5 I was expecting a little more but still great shooting bands.

    • @backyardslingshots5631
      @backyardslingshots5631 2 роки тому

      @@ATOMark with you speed stats of the .5, I now have an idea what the .45 is doing. I shoot 9/32(7.5mm) or 5/16(8mm) mainly for ammo, and 3/4-full butterfly. So I know I’m in the high 290s to 300fps.

    What’s the fastest taper for snipersling .6 yellow and .5 black short draw.

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  2 роки тому +1

      That's a tuff one to answer. I don't have any experience with .6 snipersling. .5 black the fastest speeds I ever reached was 328fps with 8mm steel if I remember correctly. Keep in mind My draw is 76.2cm so if your draw is shorter or longer, live in a colder or warmer environment your speeds will be different. I have a review on .5 black. The taper I used was 24-12 the bands were maxed out at my draw length.

      I tried 1mm gzk black and it was terrible. Unless you are shooting giant ammo there is no reason for that. What size ammo do you shoot?

      @@ATOMark привет. Я пробовал стрелять 9.5,10,11 и 12 мм стальными шариками. Прицельно стрелять с такими толстыми лентами получалось только 11 и 12 мм шарами. Пушечные ядра,блин. После этого купил 0.8,0.75 и 0.5 мм резину. Стало понятно по опыту,что для целевой стрельбы подходят .5 и, немного, .75 мм. С шариками 9.5 и 10 мм.С .8 целиться уже тяжелее. Что-то твои видео начали выходить реже. Нет идей для видео? У китайцев новая резина появилась из линейки PRECISE.Спасибо и успехов тебе.

    Mark I always enjoy your testing on different bands. I know that any frame will work if it fits your anchor point. I have been using the same frame that my older brother cut from a mesquite tree for me 72 years ago zi also own 2 newer frames one is the Oculares that I shoot TTF but for target shooting I try different bands on my old home made frame

    I find it curious that you think that .5 latex is not up to the task of shooting 9.5 steel. I have been using GZK both orange and green, SimpleShot and yellow Snipersling .5 and find that I get more than adequate power. I thought that it worked " OK" when I used a short draw the power level jumped much a lot when I learned to shoot an extended draw. I went from a 33 inch draw to 42-45 inch. I don't find any clear cut guidelines for matching ammo to band thickness. What are your thoughts?

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  Рік тому

      Actually .45 and .5 are my go-to band for both 8 and 9.5mm steel. There are some recommended guidelines from precise. It is easily found online. In my opinion, they are only starting points, and there needs to be some experimenting by the shooter. With some of the bands I have tested, 9.5 steel does just fine with .5 bands, but some are a little weak. Target shooting is not a problem for either size, but for hunting, I would recommend heavier bands if you shoot short draw. Long draw is not a problem at all. There are a lot of experts out there, but really, in the end, there is not a one size fits all band set up. It really requires a some testing to find the setup that works for you.

    • @Faustj515
      @Faustj515 Рік тому

      @@ATOMark I have not used any of the Precise Brand bands and I am not sure that their data would be relevant with some of the other brands. The numbers of different brands of bands is just plain unbelievable and almost every shooter on youtube uses band material in a different way. I have experimented a lot and done well with most of it has been and it is fun but having some guidelines would make the process clearer. I think at this stage I think I should stick with my SimpleShot, Snipersling, and Sumieki and not chase every new brand down another rabbit hole.
