Hi, the steam box is very simple. A wooden box, i have an induction kitchen heater, than a simple kitchen pot with a 2" hole in a lid and a plastic tube connected to the box. The most important is that the hole for steam is big enough to get as much steam as possible to the box. And also i have a thermometer at the end of the steam box, so that i'm sure i have at least 95-97°C in the box. I think that most of the manufaturers makes deeper shells out of two pieces glued together.
Great work Luka. Have you built other steam bent shells or just this 8" tom ? Did you make all the jigs / bending machines and moulds, etc, yourself ?

Hi, thank you! The motor is 3-phase 750 watt with gear reduction.
