That reads hard but is actually not that bad. Early game AI sucks at trade routing, and w. trade ideas + privilege for trade power it's relatively easy to beat Channel in most good nodes like Lubek or Const (and Novgorod isn't half bad)

Pskov has an achievement which is called Dovmont's Own. You basically need to have 100 streltsy unit as Pskov. You can try to accomplish this achievement for the next video.
The Savoy core thing happened due to Savoy being Occitanian culturally and Provence being the Occitanian country. Due to this when Geneva got cultural separatists you got a core on it, kind of similar to how you can get cores on Rhodes through separatists as Byzantium or Greece can spawn early.
Some fun statements & events today: Danish Scotland didn't even get commented on. "Can't fight France. Can fight Ottomans" in the 1520's... Despite weakening France all game and having no interaction with Ottomans till then PU'd Austria. I have maybe seen that myself once in a few hundred games... Iberian Wedding didn't happen. Not super uncommon, but that feels like like 1 in 10 odds to me?
Ever since Streltsy have to follow the "Special Forces Limit" (instead of just appearing out of thin air with a Government Interaction) it actually takes much longer than you'd expect to get to 100 of them. E.g. if you get say 40% Streltsy limit (from the Tsardom Government and the Tier 4 Reform), you'd need 250 regular force limit, which is higher than Hawk gets in most video times (especially given the slow start that Muscovy Independence games tend to have).
@@DylanSargesson The Quality-Court policy gives +10% Special Forces limit so he would actually only need a land force limit of 228, which isn't a huge difference but that might be enough, and with Quantity as well shouldn't be terribly difficult although that does lock in his first three idea groups which is typically the only ones he really needs.
In that Burgundian case I would've made them Transfer Trade in the Peace Deal. Having a Transfer Trade relation gives extra opinion which could've helped keeping/getting back the RM.
I really like when you do most or all of the missions from a country's mission tree. Of course it is fun to see you do weird viewer suggestions like "as Taungu conquer all of the gold provinces in the world!", but this video was a lot of fun as well!
I did a run as Provence when they got their mission tree, my opening move where as following: Declare reconquest war on Maine before the 100 year war and promise territory to France. Give them all their cores outside of one that would give them claims on you (I coud reconquest Maine for myself). Use favors with France to keep them happy for a while. Declare on Naples as soon as possible. If France is looking to be turning hostile, use your favors to get your cores back. Use France for the war vs Aragon and Hungary if needed. Then you are the strongest man an Europe and can just attack anyone you wish for, wait for the Ottoamns to be fighting multiple fronts or bring Poland in the frey with you. I don't know if this is still feasable, I think the IA will try harder to complete their missions nowadays, so keeping France is probably impossible. I most likely forgot a few details, but that's what I did at the time, 1500, mission tree done and the game was already a complete farce, your are in a great position to form the Roman empire, get tons of Diplo rep and to truce break France to force the Pu if you can.
I think the way the mission "Make France out of France" has been coded that way because "Make France not exist" can be a pain in the ass because of colonial game. If you try to destroy France and take their provinces at a wrong timing, they could move their capital in the new world (before having 5 province in the same colonial region) and make this mission way worse to complete. So i think Paradox chose "make France out of France"
you were so unlucky :o I like the focus tree and managed once to get the cores on naples. that was a crazy run, as I grew stronger extremely fast with nearly 0 AE
Okay I won’t lie I did make the jokes back when you first did a face reveal about you looking like Dr Robotnik but then seeing him pop up at 6:34 was still cursed 😂😂
If you bird for cores instead of PU on Naples, the Provence early game becomes really satisfying. For that the aragonese starting king should still live when you click the 100 Dev mission. And after he dies you can dec on a Naples that has no ally at all for reconquest and full annex. This gives you a huge boost in power. You can even give up your provinces and the PU in Lorraine in favour of Burgundy so you can go for the inheritance without that hurting you at all. One of if not the best minor mission tree in the game.
As Pskov get the rurikov achievement where there are no other rus nations. And for your Provence game, if you take Paris and cut them down a bit you get a pu cb from one of the earlier missions
When you start as a weaker nation, you should wait to Rival the people you want to fight until right before you declare war on them. They are way more likely to get a good ally when they have the player as a rival. Luckily Brittany only allied Scotland this time, I was worried they were going to get like Burgundy, or England as an ally. That's what kept happening to me last time I tried to play Provence lol
As Sweden, you should unite Scandinavia, make Muscovy not exist, and take Constantinople, changing the name to Miklagård (the Viking name for Constantinople). Bonus points: Colonize North America and have Vinland own all of modern-day Canada.
It might be impossible due to game code. I didn't test it much. You may be able to steer away your own trade to get trade income to 0, I didn't test it. I think tax is coded to not go below 1.00 even. Production you can get to 0 though.
As Pskov, we should scoff at someone... Like the Aristocracy! WE know better after all! Make Pskov a peasant republic or similar. The Revolution of the People starts here!

So, you didn't occupy the Balearics, Valencia has cores there (I believe), therefore ceding the provinces in the peace deal gave them to Valencia not you!
48:30 RedHawk, a hilarious strat for you if you can manage this (although make sure you don't need anything in the rest of the HRE): Pass Ewiger Landfriede. Please do a Teutonic Order run now into Prussia then Germany. Would love to see how fast you can get German Empire borders. Not to mention the Teutons have several mission trees they can do now so there is a bunch of content.
I have a question, I saw that you don't mind for what you declare war (like at 19:00) but if you declare for the highest development province you actually get less warscore to take the province so I don't know if you do not know that or you don't care about it.
