Afro Samurai was absolutely drop dead borderline dystopian manga at its finest . Bless us all with a deluxe hardcover two volumes in one it’s such a fun wild ride !!!!
The release I was interested in for this month was Bocchi the Rock! I saw them promoting it a ton over on IG. It was a good read, and I'm looking forward to collecting it. Also happy to buy Chainsaw Man volumes again, although I'm not super into part 2 yet. Part 1 was stellar, so I'm hoping the build up in part 2 is worth it.
So fortunate to have THE authoritative Manga channel! From coronavirus I have manga series I just ran out of steam on , can’t bring my enthusiasm up EXCEPT for How to Rent a Really Shy girlfriend I LOVE this series because the poor girl seems to have Asbergers and her social public encounters are anxiety filled moments of HELL! Does anyone know when Vol IV is , or ever will be released it suddenly dropped off and disappeared. So disappointed because it’s so hard for me to find manga series I can relate to .
Physical Bocchi!! Finally!!! Also I've been following that guild receptionist series and I was honestly surprised to see it get licensed, not sure why but I was nonetheless.
I'm waiting for Shintaro Kago's Parasitic City #1 to drop from Hollow Press. They said it'd be released in October, but I feel like it might get delayed.
Since it's spooky season I would recommend people to read this manga called "PTSD Radio" by Masaaki Nakayama." There are 3 Omnibus volumes. Great horror. You can also read his previous horror short story collection manga "Fuan no Tane."
I picked up Chainsaw Man Volume 12 at Barnes and Noble earlier this month and got Bocchi the Rock from one of my last Rightstuf packages. I may check out Noblesse and Tomahawk Angel. Thanks for the video.
I preordered The Promised Neverland boxset through Rightstuf about a month ago and it shipped out at the beginning of October. So even though it doesn't officially come out until next Tuesday, I have it sitting on my shelf right now. The box itself is beautiful. I love the artwork and I really like the poster, but the booklet was very disappointing.
I read the original Japanese novel of Red Thread and I am surprised they released the manga version in English. The story it's intetesting and I highly recommend it
Got my vol 12 for CSM and Vol 37 for HxH hyped for them plus Kaiju No. 8 Vol 8 I found it funny too lol also wish JoJo part 6 omnibus vol 1 came out this month plus Kaiji Vol 5 comes out soon that's dope
So I just flat out ran out of steam with the Dark Horse BOTI hardcovers only have four volumes I don’t think I’ll like it vs Berzerk yes have all of those for sure . Is Trigun a good series now getting a Dark Horse hardcover ? Is it the artist the story , or both ? Should I try Trigun if I blew off Blade of the Immoral ? All recommendations welcome please :
Weird question, but I’m 26. Recently getting into collecting and it kind of inspired my very own little existential crisis regarding the permanence of a collection and death. Do you find purpose in collecting knowing you will die and all the manga you read / collected will cease to exist?
I think about this sometimes. I’m 38 and my entire life I’ve always been a collector of one thing or another. Everything from pez dispensers to comics to baseball cards to action figures to manga to old school video game consoles 😂. I have many collections of all my “junk”. Even though when I die it’ll all be gone, I at least got to enjoy it while I was around. Everybody needs a hobby. It’s something fun and productive to do with your time and money when all of your other responsibilities are taken care of. My hope is that maybe my kids will get some enjoyment from my stuff when I’m gone someday and it’ll bring them some happy memories of junk hunting with dad 😂
I just watched the youtube video ‘Timelapse of the future’ depicting the end of the universe. It’s very humbling. Yes, it’s sad that everything dies. But it can also make you realise that all things, even little things, are therefore very special, very worthwhile. Because the chance of anything interesting happening is infinitely small. And we’re so damn lucky to have been given a life in good health with self-awareness and the capacity to enjoy, in a free country, in a time with enough food and luxuries. Instead of being a floating rock in some remote star system. If you can see that, it will make you thankful for every breath and love every moment and every experience on this exotic pearl in the immense nothingness.
Marukamis supreme accomplishment is the Wind Up Bird Chronicle book he is one of the best selling Kafkaesque existential authors in the world . IQ84 ? I don’t know for sci-fi I expected much better but he’s not a sci fi author compared to Frank Herbert Issac Asimov and Arthur C Clarke etc .
im excited to get witch hat atelier kitchen, cutious aboutt: dungeon friends forever & alpi the soul sender/ & I may get the 2 stories junji ito did the covers for
I Got a real question here, i collect in spanish and japanese (the only one in english would be the berserk deluxe) and i always have this in mind, how with all the high quality comics that come out, why is the manga so different from the original edition, no dustcover, the size it's all messed up, and the flat spines along the designes they make, tbh it ends up looking like a coloring book when comparing to the original japanese design.
I love these videos so much man! I've gotten into so many series because of your videos. Thanks for the amazing content!
OMG CLAMP reprints has me so excited, that cover is gorgeous O.O

Tomahawk Angel’s art style is INSANE!!! How the mangaka unfolds the story is very interesting! Easily my top 10!!!
here to say if you want a very sexy vampire series you MUST pick up Rosen Blood. the art is fucking amazing too

I still can't get over the fact that it was so scary the author themselves couldn't continue it lmao 😅

Manga is pretty expensive in Aus as is. So scared of the price hike

Hi, i want to publish my comic book weekly would you make a review video about it?
