Sounds like the song is about Ororo Monroe, Agent Storm, of the X-Men, who has powers to blast enemies with lightning. If Storm availed herself to military uses, she would command a whole front with her powers, and likely supplicants/celebrants would flock from afar to see her and receive her blessing.

Her powers of electro-kinesis are so great that she can blast the ocean and charge devices along a whole shore? Storm could probably do this...
