Tock! You are doing laser tutorials now too and using the same machine I have. ❤ You are my hero.
Hell yeah, excited to share lots more stuff with this machine. Thanks for supporting the channel buddy :D
I just purchased the Creality Falcon 2 40 Watt laser. Thank you for this video. You gave me some gift ideas, and away to get rid of some old plywood! 😀
I do like my Creality CR30 a lot! Gotta admit I'm pretty psyched about this new XTOOL unit though. Thanks for watching buddy!
Great demo! If you ever want to paint/stain the MDF, it does actually paint beautifully, but you'll want to use White B-I-N Shellac-Based Interior Primer and Sealer. The edges will soak up every ounce of paint you put on it until you give it a layer of that, sand with 1k grit, THEN paint. *Ask me how I know* - big love! - your friendly neighborhood lasersplainer from Twitch
Thanks! One of these days you and I should get together and film some demos like old times. Creative Collab Explosion!! kittenzLove
@@TockCustom oh heck yeah!
I'm looking forward to having more time to do some sewing projects
Hope you get some more free time this winter, thx for watching 😁
What a GREAT demo!
Thanks buddy! Hope you're travels are going smoothly, looking forward to lots of new stuff this winter 🤗
Glad to know you are back😊
Hi Tock, its always a great day when you post! These machines are becoming more affordable these days, thank you for showing what they can do
Thanks for watching buddy! Feels great to share some new stuff, looking forward to lots more from this new workshop. Happy Holidays :D
What a dream come true for us persnickety crafters! Thank you for another sanity saving tutorial!
Thanks so much for watching, your username is perfect for this specific project lol
If your using Lightburn, enable over-scan when doing etching (for fill shapes, like 2%) it makes for much cleaner etching when burning patterns on the wood. If the laser starts/stops in the same spot over and over it can cause the wood to burn too much and become too dark, this stops that by moving the laser past the burn area while off.
Ooooo cool, I have some friends that use Lightburn, I'll try that out for sure. Everyone says it's worth the price, so I'm into that. Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for watching :)
OMG!!! I WANT ONE!!! That is so COOL!
I noticed that you put glue on the clean sides of the tabs. Are there any issues with adhesion if you try to glue the burnt ends? How about painting them? Yes! Please do a video about engraving.
For sure! This is great :) I sanded and cleaned the edges, so I didn't have a problem with the contact cement, seems pretty strong to me. I'll be sure to do an engraving video with this next. Thanks so much for watching!
Quite an interesting machine.
For sure, there's so many options I'm not quite sure what to film next. Hope you're doing awesome buddy, Happy Holidays!
@@TockCustom Maybe a box which you then cover with textiles. I guess you'd create a cover and then either glue or staple/tack it into place.
Awesome!
Thanks for watching! 😄
