Speaking of, I actually got it for Christmas. Going for three chapters a day, and I'm on Chapter 7 currently. I love it already and I feel like you specifically targeted me whenever you wrote Felix 🤣. Seriously, great read so far
Personally I would have kept Aisha as a fallen fairy into the start of season 5. I think the shock of the trix would be priceless and instead of sirenix they would be earning Mermaidix which is a weaker version of Sirenix. Although they don’t have legs in Mermaidix
Really happy you mentioned Musa & Aisha's friendship. They were clearly best friends and arguably had one of the closest bonds out of the entire group. Their friendship seemed so organic; complimenting each other perfectly! It's really sad to see that they don't get much interaction in the later seasons. I hope someday you'll do an analysis video on the Winx and their different friendship dynamics; which Winx pair has the strongest bond and which has the weakest, etc.
My favorite friendship is definitely Bloom and Stella, from season 1 to season 8 they are clearly the best of the best and they work so well together, just love those two
I never understood why they randomly altered the friendship dynamics since Musa was the one who did the most to bond with Aisha and bring her in the gold them suddenly Musa and Techna are best friends and Flora is best friends with Aisha. This is made even more strange since Riven and Nabu are STILL best friends amongst the guys and Helia and Timmy are. What was the reason for changing this dynamic? Total side note but I would’ve loved it if the dynamics had been expanded so flora and Mirta were best friends, Musa and Techna and then Aisha and Roxy.
@@mkwhite5054 Yeah, exactly. I mean, some friendships seems forced but others make complete sense and just has natural chemistry. I actually think in some form, Flora and Tecna could have a strong bond but I don't see much interaction from the two of them. What I'd really like to see is a stronger connection between Musa, Aisha and Tecna overall. I love World of Winx because there were plenty Aisha and Tecna moments, although some of them were getting on each others nerves. 😅 Regardless, the friendship dynamics would be an interesting topic because we form different levels of closeness with different people. 😊😄
As a young black girl, Aisha was such a positive influence for me. Her strength was admirable, I loved how she was a princess (which made me want to be a princess) and the fact that she wasn’t reduced to a bunch of stereotypes but was her own character was so great.
@Anthony M'Kross I think you’re missing the point. There is value in seeing people who look like you in media. I was about 6 when I first saw Aisha, and up until then, I only saw men on tv doing all the cool stuff, especially white men(there happen to be more white men getting big roles in western media). When the only people represented as attractive, cool, or athletic are different than you, a young child can start to believe you are lesser and wrong for being different. With Aisha, I saw a bit of myself and I thought “if she can be strong and beautiful, then I can do”. She was a role model to me and for a young girl, that is encouraging.
I love the fact that even bloom was threatened by Aisha remember when sky rescued her and Aisha hugged him and bloom got jealous and Aisha went “ relax bloom I just wanted to thank him”
Sorry for my Randomness, but i just love spreading science and fun too much to not randomly go to strangers and tell them to check some out: Then allow me to shoot them at you like a machine-gun: Veritasium, Tier Zoo, Practical Engineering, Hbomberguy, Sci Show, Sci Man Dan, Hbomberguy, Michio Kaku, Sir Sic, Hbomberguy-kun, Legal Eagle, Cinema Therapy and SEA. Did i forgot someone? Oh, yeah: Hbomberguyy!
But the hug was SO unnecessary! Even tho I stan Bloom and Aisha. Aisha didn’t need to hug Sky especially with Bloom right there dead ass looking at them 💀
I got so salty about Nabu's death as a child i just pretended he was alive. I was like, look, he's even in the 2nd movie! Aisha used the healy flower to bring him back! He never died!
I love Aisha/Layla! While I'm not a black girl, I do relate to issues she is facing in season 2, particularly the struggle to fit in and making friends. Despite her suffering, she's still brave and wants to do good things, which makes me look up to her too! While I do love Season 2, I've just never really been a fan of the midgets - I mean Pixies. They made the series overall a bit more childish. I prefer other seasons in that regard. But apart from that, I love the season. The story and characters are great, and Aisha is a great add to the club!
I understand what you’re saying but please realize a lot of how she was treated and her issues really falls under on how she was black, this is coming from a black person
Yeah Aisha was completely underrated, when she was introduced in season 2, she tried to save the pixies and then once that storyline was finished; the show focused on the codex, bloom, and how she became dark bloom. Then she becomes blind in season 3, then she finally finds love with Nabu and then he dies. Aisha could have had a really good storyline in season 5 if they had Aisha leave the winx club and try to focus on her coming to terms with Nabu’s death, but no instead it’s all about bloom or Stella or any of the other winx. Great video
Tbh I agree in a way Leila has gotten 2 1/2 seasons, while Stella’s were S1 and S3, and Bloom is EVERY DAMN season, I’m kinda bitter Musa has only gotten almost 1 (S4, but having Nabu die took the spotlight to Leila instead) and Tecna and Flora have never gotten a season with a lot of growth aside S2
@@boredasf4856 um Flora doesn’t get much in S6. Yes we see her meeting up with Miele on Lynphea and see how powerful she’s becoming as a blooming (goddamnit Barb) fairy. The only other story is the random Helia sucks at taking care of carnivorous plants, which is weird considering in the comics he’s actually from Lynphea too. Yeah its awesome to see Flora kicking Icy’s ass, but otherwise they don’t actually do anything with the story of the Snow Queen, just juices up Icy’s powers until she’s defeated with a shower of petals. Same in S7 she doesn’t really have much story either aside the Lynphea episodes and helping the Fairy Animal Diamond grow and how it thanks her is by almost killing her
I personally don’t think Aisha is underrated. I would say she’s overrated (IN A GOOD WAY) because of her personality and what all she has done throughout the seasons!
S4 was pretty good, but I agree considering Bloom managed to hog the spotlight even more by being Roxy’s main mentor and she’s the only one to confront the Major fairies instead of *cough, cough* Flora vs Diana. S5 had a lot of potential following S4, but no, convergence has literally been watered down (goddamnit Barb) to be a glitterball of light and magically fixes anything
@@kristinahuchison2511 I'm still bitter that we didn't get flora vs diana, that would have been epic! Not to mention that season 5 could have been more aisha centered in the finale! It's about her family not bloom's
@@seungfactory that's the thing that really bugged me about the later seasons. they had really good set ups for other characters to take the spotlight but they fumbled it hard. season 5 was especially egregious. it's the infinite ocean damn it. aisha is the fairy of waves AND it was her cousin! like, it was practically written for aisha to be main protag but someone somewhere said no and just swapped bloom and aisha. i like season 6 tho and it is entirely because of the bloomix outfits. easily up in the charts with enchantix and harmonix for me.
Season 2 was also an improvement in animation. I really liked the art direction for most of the episodes especially 1-5, 7-10, 14, 16, 19, 21 and 24-26. The others were also good even way better than what we got in the early S1 episodes but they were still notably different and sometimes a little bit off 😅
I would like to see a character analysis of every Winx memeber but the one I would like to see the most is Stella because she is easily the most misunderstood character in the franchise. Many people of my generation confuse her impulsive behavior aka "not thinking before speaking" as straight up her being the "mean girl" archetype and sometimes they even accuse her of immoral crimes, which is very disheartening since she is to me the most relatable Winx considering she has been through things in life like her parents splitting giving her abandonment issues, and bullying which makes her try compensate by being super hyper and bubbly all the time to please others(seen in WOW) but Stella is more than just a person dealing with PTSD and lashing out because of it, but a visual representation of the idea that you don't have to be a saint in order to be considered a good person, and that mistakes do not define your intentions, because at the end of the day she cares more about others than herself seem in many instances where she either mentions it or actually proves it like when she gave up her beauty for the water stars, sacrificed herself for her father, the list goes on...
This is my opinions per dub: Rai Stella- stereotypical rich girl snob who tended to make fun of the others A LOT and rarely apologized, also I felt her voice was a little too old 4Kids- Definitely my favorite. Sweet and sassy character who cracked a lot of jokes even in the most serious situations: when the Trix arrived at Alphea in S1E26 (Rai-what do we do if we can’t stop them) “Eww, check out their taste in thrones, can you imagine what they’d do if they redecorated this place?” Also I felt she sounded snooty but it was clear she wasn’t being a mean girl. Some think her voice tended to shout a lot, but it didn’t bother me considering in S3 she was dealing with a ton of crap with her father almost marrying a witch and her spoiled little brat who Stella bitchslapped at the wedding Dubbing Bros-Kinda just sounds like Nick Stella because of the dialogue. Legit in the crappy M3 there’s a scene when Omnea is trying to tell them about the pearl, Stella literally interrupts asking if there’s time for shopping, like seriously girl, what kind of stupid question is that? Nick- Oh man, undoubtedly my least favorite, especially because of her voice being super squeaky. She got remolded as a fashionista obsessed with shopping and acts like a 3 year old half the time, especially when it came to fashion jokes, which got old real fast, I mean there’s a scene on Daphne’s wedding episode she’s dressing the boys and forgot their pants and it’s clearly boxers, Sky stupidly said it looked too tropical. Not to mention the queen episode instead of taking it seriously, she got bored very quickly and chose to fiddle around in the throne room, even getting offended after Brandon rejected her not so intimate date idea. Only time I actually liked Nick’s was the Pillar of Light, otherwise completely childish and total opposite of 4Kids and Rai personalities Duart-I feel she’s more mature than Nick, almost on 4Kids level with how she’s kickass, but not the worst. If anything at least her voice sounds similar to 4Kids
@@kristinahuchison2511 I wasn't referring to her voice but rather her personality. People these days have a naturally chill or even depressed state of mind and love to bother other people who are more upbeat by calling them annoying simply because they have a more hyper way of acting and that kinda reads into Winx, that's why there are so many Stella haters out there who don't know how to differentiate between a mean girl and a girl who doesn't think before speaking. I think that is what makes her relatable because at one point or another every single person in this world has had a moment where they end up acting a little mean towards others but they are able to make up for their mistakes and actively try to change, proving that they are still good people inside, and breaking the stereotype that you can only be good if you are perfectly behaved all the time. In other words, we all have a little Stella in us, but maybe that's why so many hate on her, it's because she represents those small flaws that we hate on ourselves as people, flaws that can be corrected just like Stella does on Winx.
@Will N yeah I know. Tecna as Stella actually pulled off Stella pretty well. Unfortunately I just do not like Tecna’s S7 voice, I feel her voice being deep makes her sound too serious, which I get Tecna is the smartest and most productive in the group, but her main arc in S1-3 was her emoting her feelings and joking around more, and especially in her sacrificing herself to close the Omega Portal showing how brave and powerful she truly is. Otherwise I feel Tecna is probably the most underrated and underused character, which is yikes considering despite she’s probably the least effective magic wise, her powers could easily evolve to greater things, I’m kinda upset her Enchantix didn’t evolve she is almost immune to lightning and instead uses it to fuel her attacks
You learn to appreciate Stella and look past her apparently shallow character mostly when you go through the series once you are older. It's just my personal opinion but, to me, Stella seems like one of the most well-rounded characters among the protagonists. It has been implied a few times in whichever dub you watched, whether it was RAI English or 4Kids, that Stella isn't really as upbeat and bubbly as she lets it seem but rather uses this type of behavior as a coping mechanism to deal mostly with the hurt that she had been going through due to her parents' divorce. Then there was also the reveal that was made in season 3 that she is not actually as confident as she presents herself because she's only ever seen herself as a "pretty face" and nothing more, believing that people liked her only because she was beautiful and not because she would be a good friend or had a kind heart. I'm honestly glad they didn't make her the stereotypical mean or highly annoying shallow character that she, sadly, had become with season 5 onwards, not to mention her portrayal in Fate. I, personally, prefer to not consider season 5 and beyond as canon.
I actually love how in stella we get to see the "what if" of a mean girl. What if that mean girl with family problems and confidence wasnt a mean girl, but a positive, sometimes brutally honest, but still a girl, who can be an amazing friend.
Honestly yeah, Aisha is amazing, both from a character viewpoint and her powers. Too often whenever shows have dark-skinned characters, especially women, they're either the best friend/sidekick of the white lead or some secondary character who doesn't get that much development. It is a breath of fresh air what they did with Aisha, making her a main character with her own character arc, backstory and agency in the plot. She's a queen and it figures that she was modelled after the Queen Bee herself.
I legit remember that when I was watching cinelume S1 dub recently one of my thoughts was “Where’s Aisha? She hasn’t shown up-“ and then remembered she debuted in S2 and then became really sad. She feels so natural that I forgot that she wasn’t there from the get go
I’m glad you brought up how Aisha was literally a punching bag through the series especially season 2. I remember the convergence episode when the simulation monster went haywire and started to attack the girls….and while all them were getting attacked I cannot forget how bad the monster hit Aisha/Layla to the point she flew so hard into glass the camera shook. Stella was so worried she called after her…when they went to ask if she was okay she answered all dizzy loopy like. I just felt so bad. (Flora also got hurt off screen and had to be checked on as well)
Is it okay that I did enjoy the rest of the Miss Magix episode? I found the Trix manipulating the other acts quite funny, and that also showed how ridiculous these beauty contests are.
The 4Kids dub was the superior version of that episode and not just because it fixed that horribly racist moment. It took one of the most problematic messes of an episode and turned it into an absolutely fun and entertaining episode. The Trix trolling the contestants while the Mean Girls song is playing just gives me life.
4Kids nailed that episode, the Rai is flat out insulting when Bloom actually touched the girl’s hair and gave a squeamish look when it jiggled, like wtf? But yes Mean Girls is one of the best songs of Winx Club period. Not to mention the Trix actually didn’t sabotage Lucy in the end because they wanted to squash Stella more
Aisha is my absolute favorite character in Winx. She was one of the few black female characters that was not based on stereotypes and instead had a strong and essential presence in the show. She has a well written back story, the best powers, and overall, a great role model for kids, especially black/dark skinned kids.
5:08 I agree so much! It's weird how much she particularly has to suffer. If wasn't even over after Season 4, because Season 5 gave her some more family trouble.
Aisha and Flora have noticeably more trauma & near-death moments than any of the others and it makes me wonder why??? Like i feel like in later seasons whenever a fight gets boring they just let flora almost die out of nowhere😭😭😭
When I made a friend of mine watch Winx Club about a years ago, by the end of season 1 he thought Mirta and Flora were going to become a couple in season 2.
I have an obsession with characters either turning evil or brainwashed and I blame Dark Bloom for that. It awakened my love of the trope and its also why Lord Darkar/Argulus and Dark Bloom are my favourite villains. Also I agree, S2 is the best, fight me! Edit: So apparently Dark Bloom returns in S9 and I'm so confused as to how
I’m just waiting for Bloom to become the villain with how self centered she’s become. I mean I actually don’t like her in S6 because it was the definition of Bloomcentric, both powers came from her and Selina’s jealousy came out of nowhere.
My absolute FAVORITE part of season 2 was when they started realizing Avalon was an imposter in episode 24. That conversation and realization was amazing😩
Season 2 is one of my favs, finally getting a Layla/Aisha(sorry Brazilian dub she will ALWAYS be Layla to me). As a kid, I felt season 1 was missing something from their group, and Layla/Aisha showed in season 2, boom the show started to get my full attention. She changed the whole dynamic of the group for the better. I do hope in the “reboot“ they go back to their roots and not try to do something like season 8 that is and is not a soft reboot of the show and of course NOT WHITEWASHING the POC characters.
Even though I prefer season 3, season 2 is the most underrated season of the show and it deserves more recognition. It should be a reference for the newer seasons.
Ah.... I haven't seen Winx in aged but that bit on how Flora got her Charmix really reminded me why she's my favourite. I always really liked her as the kinda group mom plus she has my favourite design, but the episode where she gets her Charmix really made her my fave. Seriously though, season 2 is amazing
I agree! Her’s is undoubtedly my favorite, 4Kids dub specifically. The fact it doesn’t come from healing the flower of life, but breaking through her shyness in talking to Helia is so beautiful
Honestly, I appreciate season 2 more now after rewatching the show as an adult. It has some of the best episodes of the show! Also I will never forget Lord Darkar yelling ‘WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? ASK HER TO THE PROM? SORRY SHES BUSY’ at Sky when he tried to talk to Bloom in the 4Kids dub of the season 2 finale 😂😂
I was honestly disappointed that they didn't focus on Aisha that much in season 5, they did so a little bit in the beginning and just dropped it. I mean her cousin, Tritannus, turned into an evil monster, turned the rest of his family into mutants, and planned to take over the infinite ocean. The season after she failed to save her fiancé Nabu's life and for a brief moment betrayed her friends. They had so much that could had work with her, but ignored it and just focused on Bloom and Daphne. They could have had it that Aisha became very reckless and put her life in danger a lot to stop Tritannus because she can't get over the fact that Nabu is gone and she is responsible for it. But she eventually changes when her actions leads to the death of Neraus.
Still so mad it wasn’t Leila to defeat Tritannus’s polluted ass straight into Oblivion (which is weird because I thought it was destroyed in M1, maybe they meant Limbo?) In my personal rewrite I have in S5 Nabu is alive and they get married at the end, but when Narrius is almost killed, Leila has to make a heartbreaking decision which to use her Sirenix wish on, while Musa hadn’t used her’s yet uses it on Nabu.
@@kristinahuchison2511Ik this was a year ago but in m1 it was obsidian that was destroyed, oblivion is something new they made that season. I got confused too.
I think season 2 is my favourite, it's so dark, so dramatic !! The villain is terrifying and soooo cool, Aisha's arrival is smooth, everything is badass and interesting. Yea I guess I'm one of the very few fans who love the darkness of the show, so that season is m a d e for me
The Winx Club Nick specials TV Movie were very good though but the fact that they summarized the Season 2 too short, they skipped most of the best scenes and episodes in that (one of the best ICONIC) season which is so ridiculous and a terrible idea.
@@JeeMeeVee nah. I respect your opinion but Nick literally sent S1-2 through a shredder, really the only other girl aside Bloom who got any story was literally Stella and oddly enough Mirta. Otherwise Nick literally squeezed out the juiciest parts and might as well slapped a label with the Bloom Show on it
@@robinsordahl8947 yes I know it was Rainbow’s idea, but unfortunately that’s probably why Nick chose to roll with the important parts going to Bloom every stinking season. If you think about it, Bloom’s powers are basically fire, like the Great Dragon itself can’t actually really do anything aside destroy intense darkness or whatever. I know in S2 Rai originally Bloom was supposed to have healing magic because the Great Dragon created the universe, but even in her Enchantix form she doesn’t really have any unique abilities or outstanding spells aside being able to separate her soul/ connected to the Dragon Flame from her body without it killing her.
@@robinsordahl8947 yes I know that was the original prototype. They actually were supposed to be 13 I believe and the Trix were supposed to be the Ancestresses that I don’t know if they managed to avoid being destroyed/defeated by casting a youth spell on themselves? Also Daphne was originally going to be Bloom’s mother, that’s part of the reason I always got Queen Serenity vibes from her
Flora is my favorite cause honestly she's relatable. Like when she felted shame that she was the last one to get her Charmix I can't tell u how much I related to that. U see all your friends conquering their fears and becoming stronger while your just left behind and have no idea of how to conquer YOUR fear. Its honestly connected with me more then it should have and that's what made me fell in love with Flora even more. (Also FloraxHelia FTW MY OTP!!!)
YES Season 2 was always my favorite season, idk why i just ADORE IT. Maybe bc of Aisha, maybe bc of Pixies idk i just adore the episodes made for the other characters!!!! Thank you for making this video!!! Edit: 9:15 THAT EPISODE IS THE BEST OF THE FRANCHISE FITHG ME
Season two (specially the 4kids dub) is my favourite season for several reasons: - Helia & Flora being cute. Flora’s my favourite Winx girl so I was happy she got a love interest - Aisha/Layla, icon of a generation - Brandon, an S-tier man. - this 4kids Darkar line: “this isn’t some prep school mixer” when the other Winx and specialists storm Shadowhaunt
Forgot to mention 4Kids Charmix theme was genius. The fact its an upbeat of the Magic Winx theme is awesome, each girl has her own track, put them together and they become one, just like convergence! I don’t mind the Nick one, but in my opinion the redesigned transforming actually is a bit too flashy for me, even for the Winx
As a child I always thought it was weird and hilarious that Helia responded to Flora's confession "I do too" when it would have been quite easy to say "I love you too" but it is a good way to promote selflove (get your mind out of the gutter) even if it wasn't meant to be taken that way
Season 2 is honestly my second favorite (sorry but season 3 was the height of my childhood hype). Charmix was such a cool add-on, I love Aisha and the whole thing with Dark Bloom and stuff was just so cool to me. I especially remember when Stella used her passion for fashion to solve a riddle at Darkar's castle that hasn't been decoded by any of the more accomplished people. It was so cool.
Season 2 is my favourite actually. I especially loved the inclusion of more advanced spells using Latin, it's a shame they didn't continued these in season 3 cuz they were absolutely badass. Edit: Also it's the first and only season I perceived the Trix as threatening, they we're kinda threatening in season 1 but they were way to reckless to actually do something.
I love Aisha so much, when I watched the Winx Club! She being voiced by KeKe Palmer, was the icing on the cake. I grew up watching KeKe on Disney Channel. How Aisha was done in the later seasons wasn't it for me. I hated that put her through so much mental anguish, emotional suffering, and literal physical torture. To make matters worse they White-Washed her with this new Kiddy Kiddy Bang Bang shit as well. It's sad, just plain sad. Thank you Raibow for giving my Queen Aisha her bouquet 💐 I love and appreciate your Content. Before I go just a little PSA .... If I see any comments complaining about Rainbow reiterating that Aisha is a Black princess and that no one cares and it doesn't MATTER....... I will report ya'll RACIST asses 😒 if I see any of said comments. PSA over! Much love XOXO ❤️ 🤗
I can relate to Aisha cuz she's afraid of the dark like me, love to dance etc and her, musa, stella are my favorite watching the show. Even though she's the princess of Andros, but did you know that "Andros" is an actual island from the bahamas ? it''s so cool! (btw, i'm a bahamaian lel)
I disagree. Kiki Palmer is probably my 4th favorite. Vasthy Mompoint for sure presented Leila the best because she tended to need her space at times because of being a wallflower, Lucinda Davis in my opinion was too sweet and didn’t pull off her tomboy personality like 4Kids. Kiki was pretty good, but tended to be a bit of a hothead, especially snapping at Stella at times. Also she tended to be really dramatic in her line reading, and that’s not how Leila acts
I love Aisha/Layla she is my personal favorite Winx. Although it's a weird thing to bring up I kinda did like she had multiple love interest even though I'm still angry they "killed" Nabu. I did kinda like how two guys wanted her I know love triangles and heteronormativity suck (even as a straight person I find it annoying). But it's so rare that a black woman being a person of desire in this trope as a black woman seeing two guys desiring Aisha felt really nice. Was it the best written thing ever no but it was nice to see two guys with taste wanting to be with Aisha because she is a queen.
Season 2 IS my favorite season. The Winx's personalities were so vibrant this season, everybody got time to shine and got character development (even TECNA), and it introduced Aisha. Also, I prefer the best friends to be like: Bloom and Stella, Musa and Aisha, and Tecna and Flora. People remember about Musa and Aisha, but they forget how close Tecna and Flora were in seasons 1 and 2. They often hung out together and acted like best friends. And season 2 was the last time they behaved like best friends.
The only “Aisha being integrated into the group” thing I would’ve added, would be that Stella and Aisha are roomies now. I would’ve loved to see more of that stuff
Season 2 was extremely amazing in every aspect except from the weirdness of Avalon. I knew he was up to something the moment I knew about him joining the school. And Bloom just acted really weird about it. I headcanon that he literally cast hypnosis on her to want to interact with him, because otherwise she would have a bad feeling.
even as a to die for bloom stan, i loved how the producers spread out each winx members screentime equally. if only they continued to do what they did in season 2
Season 2 has a special place in my heart since this was when Layla/Aisha was introduced. I was 12 years old at the time (god, I'm so old now) and I never really seen black girls on my favorite shows. As a young black girl, I was so happy. and also Helia was introduced, who is my favorite specialist. He and Flora deserved more screen time, dammit.
I had season 2 on CD for the looongest while and listened to that constantly. Until I got very emotionally involved with Tecna's "death" in season 3 season 2 was always my favourite - especially because of Dark Bloom, making her more interesting for me as a character, the Trix getting betrayed, Darkar being a flipping Phoenix, and even more so because of Darkar actually winning before they turn things around last second - he'd already opened the Relix at that point, and throughout the entire series with how none of the Codex could be protected it really felt like he was a powerful villain to be respected. Another highlight for the series for me was when the Winx went into Cloud Tower to seek to protect the Codex, and Griffing paired each of them with the Winx member they got along the least with - Bloom and Tecna being the most memorable couple to me - stating that if this mission were to go wrong their bonds with each other would essentially be shattered.
I do love season 2 for many reasons like It gave each winx there time in the spotlight while still move the main plot along it wasn’t just bloom focused
The dynamic of Musa and Aisha/Layla in season two is my all time favourite friendship dynamic of the franchise only rivaled by the friendship dynamic of Riven and Nabu in season 3 and 4.
For the "Miss Magix" episode, it was a stereotypical take within media on how beauty pageants are run and depicted. In reality, pageants (especially modern ones) feature diverse women with substance. Those who compete are not just pageant girls anymore, but they have lawyers, scientists, with bachelors, have worked in the military, sport-focused, etc., whilst featuring alongside the more feminine side of women such as pioneering a make-up and accessory business, fashion designers, actresses, etc. Some women are now making themselves available proud being one of the plus-size, or have chosen to present themselves with their natural hair, especially when they're born with the curly wild hair, which was intepreted as shameful in the episode. In other words, women competing in pageants, especially when it is the higher ranks (like Miss USA, Miss France, Miss Universe) are actually very commendable and respectable women who have handled the pressure while being authentic with themselves and their features. They can work with sponsors and run businesses and interacting within their communities in their younger age. If media feature pageants in their plotline, I wish the day will come when it actually mirrors reality as it should be.
I'm glad some people acknowledged how underrated Season 2 is; I recently revisited it after so many years and still feel the same way about it as I did when it first aired. I enjoy the first season, but I think the second season is even better. I absolutely love Aisha/Layla she's one of my favorite Winx girls.
Season 2 is what made me fall in love with the series. It made me set an alarm on the weekend to watch it (4kids dub) and I am not a morning person. Dark Bloom was an amazing finale and started my love of the “I know you’re in there” trope. Aisha was the driving force of a character that I didn’t know I needed as a kid, but her narrative significance left such an impression on me. I loved how Techna didn’t trust Avalon. Stella going and saving Brandon was just *chef’s kiss*. The Musa episode with her father was heartbreaking, and I didn’t really understand the full context at that point (I was very very tired when the show came on). I loved that the team was allowed to fail, and pretty badly at that. But as a kid, my absolute favorite part was Flora’s arc. I was horribly shy and soft spoken as a kid (I still have a bit of a nervous disposition, but not nearly as bad). Flora’s difficulty talking about her feelings with Helia mirrored my difficulty talking to most people. Seeing her triumph still makes my heart swell, especially because his immediate response soothes any nerves she would still have. Their story is amazing in season 2. Plus season 2 has a Halloween episode and Amore saves the girls from getting mugged through the power of love. The earth episodes were wild!
Along with giving the whole cast a proper arc iginio straffi has said many times that they deliveredly postponed any advance of Bloom finding her parents until season 3 so they could center more in the others
As a girl of color, not black but brown, I related so much to aisha as a kid ❤️ she's a girl boss and owned the show so much she should be the main character lol
Anyone else shipped Sky and Aisha this season🌚 idk but when they were in that cave and he helped her down and Bloom got jealous I felt something between them...idk y'all maybe I'm crazy
Honestly, the only thing I really hope they have in the reboot that's being planned is keeping the writing quality from the first 3 seasons, *specially* season 2
This was a great video and captured a lot of the reasons why season two is my favorite one. Aisha's introduction was great. She came off as mysterious, strong and the audience would want to learn more about her. She works really well with the main cast. As much as I also like season one, it does feel a bit off to not see Aisha there, which isn't typical of characters introduced past season one. Providing good representation for Black girls was great too. I also loved the season finale with all of the romance between the different couples. It just appealed so much to my inner hopeless romantic. All of those moments felt so genuine and earned too. I think it was also smart to make the finale more personal. Obviously they wanted to stop Darkheart's plan, but the focus was primarily on saving Bloom, which I think made the finale more distinct than if they did something similar to the season one finale again. I am autistic and I never really thought of Techna as autistic-code. I can kind of see it, more so with the early seasons than anything I saw of later seasons, but I'm not sure if I could really get behind the headcanon. I can definitely see the appeal for it though.
I like Aisha. While my favorite is Flora, I do like Aisha. Bloom is at the bottom of my list. I hope you do more character analysis videos like this for the winx.
I always found aisha the most beautiful of them all as a kid... and I always claimed to be like her, bc of her curly hair. even tho I´m white, I always found her the most desierable. idk
They killed off Nabu too fast like just when him and Aisha was actually about to get married since they were engaged. Helia/Flora and Nabu/Aisha was the best ship put of the whole series imo
Thank you so much for giving this season what it devwes . This has also been my favorite season of Winx club since I was 6 years old .when I was growing up with the cliume dub.
Tecna, Musa and Flora are criminally underrated in how their magic works. Tecna should be able to make robots with a hit of magic. I think my favorite spell ever is S2 finale when she becomes the computer for the Owl after it got electrocuted by Stormy.
Season 2 is the second best season right after S3, S1 while yes its nice getting to learn more about the Magical Dimension, my problem is were stuck only on Earth and Magix, and the girls aren’t even allowed to use their powers outside of class/homework or ya know getting attacked by the Trix or even other monsters. Honestly I agree I sometimes skipped over S2 because the plot kinda took forever, but I’ll admit Helia and Flora became a HUGE reason why I started rewatching it. For all y’all who mock 4Kids Flora for being too soft, I personally feel she pulled off her shy and quiet personality the best, especially in S2 when she’s just too shy and nervous to confess to Helia when he’s tried several times to get her attention, and especially with Chatta I absolutely loved her 4Kids personality more, her Rai just was less energetic, and there’s even a scene when the girls meet Professor Avalon and the pixies are jealous, like they’re in class. Also the 4Kids Flora and Helia wedding joke is criminally “Experdelohelia!” underrated 4Kids Leila is still my favorite, while I agree Lucinda Davis does emote her shy personality, Vasthy Mompoint has always been a nice blend of sweet and shy and kickass (rai+nick) plus I also feel her being more of a wallflower who tends to need her space is more relatable, its like when Musa opens up about not having friends before Alphea, or when they go to Planet Disco in 4Kids she doesn’t tell Musa about Anne, she just is in her own world and says “Your friendship means a lot to me. I mean it….Ohh forget it” and that felt more like she was slowly opening up, 4Kids almost depicted she was scared of getting close to others in fear of losing them: Anne, the pixies, Nabu. I do appreciate you mentioned in Jared’s episode in 4Kids it was actually Stella who tried playing matchmaker, which I felt played better with Stella doesn’t always consider how others feel and thinking she’s right about everything. The Rai honestly kinda annoyed me because its her getting mad at Riven because he told Jared about her, but she never says anything. Also in the episode Ms Faragonda lets Bloom, Stella, and Leila go I was kinda shocked she was so chill about sending Winx level fairies into hell. At least in 4Kids she was adamant it was waay too dangerous, but ended up giving them an assertion test (though still salty Musa didn’t get to go) Speaking of her, I actually loved 4Kids Musa episode Magic in my Heart, her dad was a prince who fell in love with Wanin after being disowned, and they were actually quite successful as musicians until she became sick and there was nothing that could save her. Because Musa is from Melody, I always thought the profit issue was weird, and they weren’t average or amateurs either, plus considering it is common to actually become ill from being overworked in places like Japan that unfortunately can lead to early deaths. I always assumed it was probably cancer or something that wasn’t caught early enough, so in a way it was a Coco approach where her dad left his crown for music just to have his life be torn apart by it, so him saying if Musa performed he would reinstitute her made more sense. Also my personal opinion but I absolutely love 4Kids Helia, his VA actually did Avalon and Sponsus which I found hilarious, considering the latter is a hopeless romantic, while Avalon literally looks like his older form. In my opinion I always felt Rai tended to be a tad rude, like when Flora is trying to confess he tells her to keep going just to then leave her, like wtf? Versus 4Kids he simply said he better get going, and honestly 4Kids Chatta is so adorable “Ok, that is what we call missing an opportunity.” And “Boys don’t know how to do these things help him!” Still cannot believe Helia only appeared for like 1/4 of S3, freaking hate crime. Lastly I loved how 4Kids did Charmix with both earning and theme, considering its not meant to be used regularly and is a booster, plus each fairy has her own track, and put them together they become one just like convergence. The Rai is ok, but they tended to swap around, 4Kids was epic, especially in the final battle against Lord Darkar. I don’t mind Nick’s song, but it still doesn’t feel right considering Nick renamed the Winx level Charmix (which was just stupid) and its flat out skipped over. Also in 4Kids Bloom and Sky were dating, but weren’t official until the episode Sky almost dies. I also didn’t mind the terrorism plot skipped, considering Yoshinoya has yet to reappear, and Brandon and Sky don’t even look alike, not to mention did Codatorta and Saladin even know why the name swap? Plus there’s no way Sky and Brandon were the only students from Erakleon. Plus there’s a few scenes in 4Kids when Bloom is suspicious of Diaspro, which I felt is waay more realistic considering Sky waited until it was too late to tell her the truth, and this kinda helps with the trust issues. Not to mention I actually liked in 4Kids Sky never got suspicious of Avalon, I liked where Avalon is so charming even Faragonda didn’t suspect a thing. Another thing is I liked in 4Kids Charmix was based on your inner self, considering there’s a scene when Avalon tells them about the first fairy in the universe, he doesn’t even mention it wasn’t Polaris (?) it was Arcadia. Not to mention 4Kids made it clear convergence isn’t the same as simply combining powers, but you have to be one with your partner, which I’m surprised Rai didn’t mention the difference, and especially I liked in 4Kids as well the girls got to choose their partner instead of Faragonda. Last thing, I don’t mind how Musa got her Charmix because she trusted Riven with Darcy, but I seriously wished her’s came at the concert, considering her mother’s death and her father’s wishes to not pursue music as a career is something she’s had to deal with ever since she was 3. Not to mention it would’ve been kickass watching her transform into a brand new fairy form on stage and her powers amplified by like 100% to electrocute Stormy out. Also I personally thought the spy spell thing with Rai was weird, I always assumed because Musa’s ears are so much more sensitive maybe Stormy woke her up or something and zoned in on her “Hey witch, its 2 AM shouldn’t you be hanging upside down somewhere in a cave?” 4Kids Musa rocks. Also am I the only one bummed Mirta didn’t become a Winx? I’m actually kinda sad considering how kind the Winx were to her when the witches always scorned her for being different, not to mention I’d love see fairywitch magic. I know she’s the witch of illusions, but still
@Will N well I heard Mirta was going to have more story, but unfortunately they thought she was too similar to Will fron WITCH (I think Rainbow was already in a lawsuit war with Disney claiming they copied WITCH’s idea)
@Will N also Roxy was supposed to be the 7th Winx hence the reason she got Believix instead and technically the episode at the train station after she gets her wings does show her with Zoomix, though it’s possible either her status as a Believix was changed later or just an animation error, though Bloom mentions before going to Amazonia Roxy doesn’t have Believix. Not to mention Roxy doesn’t even show the virtues of Enchantix (I don’t count freeing the Earth fairies or Morgana from the mirror either) but Charmix is kinda for debate considering she overcame her fear of being a fairy. but Nick chose not to add her. I personally always felt she was one in S4, but then would break off in S5 when she’s at Alphea making new friends her age.
@@boredasf4856 yeah I know. I mean I was pretty mad she didn’t get Butterflix, like what was the point in letting her get a stone of memories that undoubtedly you’d have to be at a certain level to use considering you can manipulate time. I know in the S7 game she does have a chibi design in it, otherwise that’s another reason why S7 had the potential to be better than S6, but ultimately failed. I’m sick of only the Winx getting new wings, I would’ve LOVED to see Mirta getting her Enchantix by saving Lucy and Roxy saves Nebula on Earth in S6, or even Diaspro, instead of doing the obnoxious jealous psycho ex thing give her a redemption arc where she ends up saving Sky.
One of my favourite moments of the season is when fake Avalon gets rescued by the elf teacher (can't remember his name) from a deadly poisonous flower and thanks him and the elf guy blushes in response
I still liked Winx Club from Season 2 as it's the start of debut of Aisha, Helia and the Pixies. I even liked all final four episodes of Winx Club Season 2 because they're the continued parts of Season 2 finale where the Winx, Specialist and the Pixies finally face off with Darkar in the final showndown. However I do wished that the final two episodes of Season 2 have improve just a little bit because after Bloom is kidnapped by the fake Professor Avalon and brought her to Darkar's fortress were he turn her to Dark Bloom the Fake Professor Avalon was never seen again which doesn't really make sense. I mean the Fake Professor Avalon could have fight both the Winx and Special in episode 25 as a distraction while Darkar and Dark Bloom enter the realm of relix. Then in the final confront the Winx could used their combine powers to destroy the Fake Professor Avalon once and for all. Still at least the Winx Club Special: The Shadow Phoenix we got to see Darkar disguise as Professor Avalon made up for this.
Aisha Is my second fav I love her she’s so interesting and a great role model she also has the best style tbh Musa will always be my favourite since I was little but Aisha Is a very close second
I love Aisha my favorite character. Love season 2 and the growth of the characters. Mostly Flora, Tecna, Musa, and Aisha. Season 2 was amazing. I still go back and rewatch episodes.
I honestly loved season two and the reasons you pointed out are several of my reasons too. On a side note, if you want to do an audio book version of your novel, try hooking up with Audible. Lots of voice actors use it so you might wind up with someone you're a fan of reading your own work. :)
Season 3 was my favorite but season 2 was a really strong season and was my second favorite. I loved how season 2 explored the characters backstories more.
Helia is generally a feminine name, so when i was 10 i decided that helia was supposed to be a girl and flora was gonna be a femme lesbian dating a female specialist but someone higher up in production shut it down
Actually Helia was originally supposed to be a fairy, I believe Lucy’s Miss Magix form was a prototype, but I wonder what kind of fairy, considering unfortunately they skipped in the animation why he left Red Fountain, but is at least covered in the comics. Also Helia’s name is from the Sun god Helios in Roman mythology I believe, which is literally a compliment of Flora’s powers being nature
Thank you for making this great video and breaking down all the points that make season 2 so good and so underrated! Season 2 actually has my favourite season finale out of all first 3/4 seasons (I haven't watched the other seasons) with its immaculate pacing, beautiful actions and strong feelings. The escalation is just perfect starting from Bloom's abduction or even Professor Avalon's escape and reaching its highest point of suspense with Sky's collapse and everything seeming lost before Bloom starts healing herself and others. The fact that it is through Bloom's use of her own healing powers on herself and the people that she loves, that Lord Darkar is defeated holds such powerful and incredible symbolism as those same powers are systematically coveted to do evil and she always takes back ownership of them and uses them for good
loved this video and all your other winx videos! I'd love to watch a video about the girls' friendships with each others, describing thier dynamics and so what since at the end of the day that's the heart of the show
To be fair, representation has its problems in this series, but the first 2 seasons were written and thought for an Italian public. There was very little sensitivity and understanding of racism, as the country was not nearly as diverse as other places in the world, and products that were aimed to the general public here generally have to be very "mild" in world view, to appease the conservative audience. Looking back i don't think i can remember a more popular show that had the same amount of diversity, or that had actual diversity, for that matter. Most of kid's shows were either taken from Japan (but with character names changed to sound a lot more occidental) or US, which still lacked important colored characters. There was a lot of prejudice and ignorance about other ethicities back then, more than malicious intent, because people had no knowledge about them and so jokes like the one about the afro hair were made. Don't get me wrong, it's still racist, but I guess it was not as deliberated as many instances we hear about these days. This is not to cotradict anything in the video, it makes great points, I just think it may be interesting for some people to have context about where the show was made, as I see Aisha and Musa to be some of the first important steps in representation we had here.
THIS! FINALLY! I can't believe someone made a video about how amazing the 2nd season is! Like, you know, everyone is obsessed with the 3rd season, a little less - with the 1st one (they're great in their own way though). But nobody is talking how great the 2nd season is, sometimes even considering it boring or unnecessary. B*tch, what?!! Are you kidding me? I watched the majority of season 2 episodes for HUNDREDS of times, when I was a kid, because it was just amazing. How in the world it can be boring? Were we watching the same show? And yes, Aisha is the queen. She, Stella and Musa are the most interesting characters among the Winx fairies. And yes, Aisha got lots of troubles and painful experiences, but to me it was always more a pro, than a con, because comparing Aisha's dramatic storyline to Bloom's one, where she just gains everything and loses nothing, you feel much more sympathetic and emotional about Aisha and her story than to Bloom. So, yeah, I feel really sorry about poor Aisha and everything she's gone through, but it's def a part of what make her such a great character. And 2nd season not only introduce us fantastic Aisha, but it also does a great job in developing other characters, like Musa's tragic backstory, Stella's family drama, Flora's relationship with Helia, Tecna's relationship with Timmy and even Bloom and Sky got many important challenges to their love. And the Underworld, pixies, Princess Amentia, Darkar (he's one of the best villains in Winx, fight me) - it was just brilliant! I love s2 on the same level as s3, and I was extremely glad to watch a review, were these great features and things were acknowledged and got some deserved respect. Thank you! ;)
I always felt like we got the most information on Aisha, Bloom, and Stella, while Musa, Flora, and Tecna were severely underrated. Though I do think in the relationships, Aisha was aleays kicked to the curb. Justice for Nabu! No shade to Nex and Roy; they can be friends with her.
YES, THE PART WITH THE PIXIES, I HAD VERY SIMILAR THOUGHTS A YEAR AGO! :D How they were complementing or representing some sides of the Winx. (Imma write my thoughts below in a minute)
3:19 I actually agree with you. I was rewatching the episode and when I came across this moment, I find this a bit harmful (even though I’m not black). I also found this girl beautiful with that hair. The Miss Magix competition was about NATURAL beauty. Adding this girl in the competition would show that this hair style is natural and it is normal. Plus it would add some early diversity in season 1
As I start to grow older I also thought that maybe season 2 was the best in terms of everything. Indeed a great show.....plus my fanfiction story about this show was never finished :))
I really liked how you touched on what black women go through, especially with physical appearance because they still go through that today and it’s unacceptable. So thanks for bringing this up. Especially since it’s the black community
Also wanna mention that if you'd like, you can request your local bookstore or library to carry De Cineribus! The magic of the ISBN, y'all.
Speaking of, I actually got it for Christmas. Going for three chapters a day, and I'm on Chapter 7 currently. I love it already and I feel like you specifically targeted me whenever you wrote Felix 🤣. Seriously, great read so far
I just ordered it at the American Book Center in The Hague! Almost screamed when I learned they had it! ❤
Can you make top 6 Winx Girls please
Personally I would have kept Aisha as a fallen fairy into the start of season 5.
I think the shock of the trix would be priceless and instead of sirenix they would be earning Mermaidix which is a weaker version of Sirenix. Although they don’t have legs in Mermaidix
Not to be a impatient brat but whens rwby v8 rewritten coming?
Really happy you mentioned Musa & Aisha's friendship. They were clearly best friends and arguably had one of the closest bonds out of the entire group. Their friendship seemed so organic; complimenting each other perfectly! It's really sad to see that they don't get much interaction in the later seasons. I hope someday you'll do an analysis video on the Winx and their different friendship dynamics; which Winx pair has the strongest bond and which has the weakest, etc.
Omg now I want him to do a video on that
@@thatangstychick5789 Same! It would be so interesting to see!
Same! I was so inspired to speak up and be more brave.
Sadly it seems they have fallen to making Aisha the "angry Black woman" stereotype in later seasons. I hope they fix that in Season 9.
@Anthony M'Kross be quiet
@Anthony M'Kross aaand of course.. ur white ! 😁
I love the fact that even bloom was threatened by Aisha remember when sky rescued her and Aisha hugged him and bloom got jealous and Aisha went “ relax bloom I just wanted to thank him”
Sorry for my Randomness, but i just love spreading science and fun
too much to not randomly go to strangers and tell them to check some out:
Then allow me to shoot them at you like a machine-gun:

Did i forgot someone? Oh, yeah: Hbomberguyy!
I nearly forgot about them

But the hug was SO unnecessary! Even tho I stan Bloom and Aisha. Aisha didn’t need to hug Sky especially with Bloom right there dead ass looking at them 💀

I got so salty about Nabu's death as a child i just pretended he was alive. I was like, look, he's even in the 2nd movie! Aisha used the healy flower to bring him back! He never died!
I never wanted nabu to die. Aisha doesn't deserve anyone but him. Like, why did nabu have to be the one to die? It's just sad
@Will N ok. Got it. Never thought of it that way.
@Will N I heard people say that it was racist that nabu died. But yeah, riven is a narcissist
@Will N kinda deep

Ayisha deserves the entire show, along with nabu, she’s a boss ash queen

I love Aisha/Layla! While I'm not a black girl, I do relate to issues she is facing in season 2, particularly the struggle to fit in and making friends. Despite her suffering, she's still brave and wants to do good things, which makes me look up to her too!
While I do love Season 2, I've just never really been a fan of the midgets - I mean Pixies. They made the series overall a bit more childish. I prefer other seasons in that regard. But apart from that, I love the season. The story and characters are great, and Aisha is a great add to the club!
Me not being ether black nor female relates to her issues... Aisha is just the best
Same here! Aisha was my favourite from the start :D I loved her personality in and I have always strove to be just like her
I understand what you’re saying but please realize a lot of how she was treated and her issues really falls under on how she was black, this is coming from a black person
@Hope for Aisha I knew someone would say this 😭
@Anthony M'Kross I agree
@@kristinahuchison2511 actually flora got season 6 and 7 or atleast she got a storyline
Not any of the other winx, mention one episode focused on tecna or flora on season 5-8
Tecna is almost not part of winx on season 5-8
Season 2 and 3 felt like the last time the Winx actually had disagreements with each other and had to learn to work together. And I miss that.
The others were also good even way better than what we got in the early S1 episodes but they were still notably different and sometimes a little bit off 😅
Especially in their eyes
This is my opinions per dub:
Rai Stella- stereotypical rich girl snob who tended to make fun of the others A LOT and rarely apologized, also I felt her voice was a little too old
4Kids- Definitely my favorite. Some think her voice tended to shout a lot, but it didn’t bother me considering in S3 she was dealing with a ton of crap with her father almost marrying a witch and her spoiled little brat who Stella bitchslapped at the wedding
Dubbing Bros-Kinda just sounds like Nick Stella because of the dialogue.
Only time I actually liked Nick’s was the Pillar of Light, otherwise completely childish and total opposite of 4Kids and Rai personalities
Duart-I feel she’s more mature than Nick, almost on 4Kids level with how she’s kickass, but not the worst.
Samee
As a pageant stan also, i enjoyed it too
The 4Kids dub was the superior version of that episode and not just because it fixed that horribly racist moment.
Not to mention the Trix actually didn’t sabotage Lucy in the end because they wanted to squash Stella more
Yes it always makes me laugh so much it’s like me and my sister 😂😊
@@MidnightSimmer that's different though flora is always the one dying and Aisha is the one always suffering
@@joshg7120 well they are both disproportionately suffering in some shape or form WAY more than everyone else in the later seasons for minimal reasons
@@MidnightSimmer I feel like Musa also went through a lot of crap. Like they really hate seeing her happy 💀
@@liz2668 frfr the producers hate these girls and want them to suffer😭
Living for this Musa/Aisha friendship
When I made a friend of mine watch Winx Club about a years ago, by the end of season 1 he thought Mirta and Flora were going to become a couple in season 2.
I think everyone did 😅 how wrong we were
I think Mirta is secretly in love with Lucy
According to the Season 4 and beyond writers, Mirta and Lucy don´t exist.
Pixies are so underrated. I love the addition of them. I notcie they also go well with each fairies. Especially chatter with flora
I have an obsession with characters either turning evil or brainwashed and I blame Dark Bloom for that. It awakened my love of the trope and its also why Lord Darkar/Argulus and Dark Bloom are my favourite villains.
Also I agree, S2 is the best, fight me!
Edit: So apparently Dark Bloom returns in S9 and I'm so confused as to how
@maya it's on the Winx Wiki when I searched up Dark Bloom
@maya No problem 😊
I’m just waiting for Bloom to become the villain with how self centered she’s become. I mean I actually don’t like her in S6 because it was the definition of Bloomcentric, both powers came from her and Selina’s jealousy came out of nowhere.
Just can agree
Are they going to have a new reboot?
You're right in that S2 is underrated not to mention gives us one of the show's best characters in Aisha.
Happy Holidays Thomas!
Sorry for my Randomness, but i just love spreading science and fun

I don’t have a problem with Aisha being the fairy of fluids it’s just the fairy of waves it’s what’s most iconic for her character atleast for me
Yeah, I would've prefered if Aisha was the fairy of waves. Fluids sounds weirder but is more in line with her power
I think season 2 is my favourite, it's so dark, so dramatic !! The villain is terrifying and soooo cool, Aisha's arrival is smooth, everything is badass and interesting. Yea I guess I'm one of the very few fans who love the darkness of the show, so that season is m a d e for me
Rainbow looked back at this season and somehow thought it would be okay to summarise it all in only one TV movie. :(
I mean I still liked the specials since I grew up with them. But I understand if you didn't.
Also Daphne was originally going to be Bloom’s mother, that’s part of the reason I always got Queen Serenity vibes from her
Aisha's my favorite character and nothing will never change this 💚
Flora is my favorite cause honestly she's relatable.
YES
Season 2 was always my favorite season, idk why i just ADORE IT. Maybe bc of Aisha, maybe bc of Pixies idk i just adore the episodes made for the other characters!!!! Thank you for making this video!!!
Edit: 9:15 THAT EPISODE IS THE BEST OF THE FRANCHISE FITHG ME
Season two (specially the 4kids dub) is my favourite season for several reasons:
- Helia & Flora being cute. Flora’s my favourite Winx girl so I was happy she got a love interest
- Aisha/Layla, icon of a generation
- Brandon, an S-tier man.
@@shortieoreo6243 That's so cool 😎 I heard the oceans in the Bahamas, is so ethereal 😍 I love the water.
@@jenesishunter9674 thanks!
@•bubblegum• i didn't know that either until this year i was so shook.
Fr I can’t imagine winx without Aisha and anytime I rewatch s1 felt like something important was missing from the group
Yes I would like two guy on her level or higher chasing after her like Nabu.
Aisha is the freaking queen
She and Musa are the best characters
Ikrrr
Same!
BRO I JUST DISCOVERED YOU CHANNEL VIA THE “About the Author” SECTION IN YOUR BOOK AND NOW IM OBSESSED WITH WINX CLUB HELPP
"That's not the ROOT of Flora's arc" dang, best unintentional puns
Season Two was my favorite!
I love Darkar and the concept of an evil Bloom!
Omggg someone that finally shares the same favorites Winx as me, yess ! Musa and Aisha for the win since childhood
I love Season 2! Because my girls are getting good character development! My favorite fairy is Flora, and her and Helia are my OTP!!!
Unicorn of war: Aisha is Queen and is the best character.
Me: PERIOD!!!!
As a girl of color, not black but brown, I related so much to aisha as a kid ❤️ she's a girl boss and owned the show so much she should be the main character lol
flora and helia hold such a special place in my heart Im crying screaming thorwing up everytime I think about them
Anyone else shipped Sky and Aisha this season🌚 idk but when they were in that cave and he helped her down and Bloom got jealous I felt something between them...idk y'all maybe I'm crazy
Season 2 and 3 were the best seasons for me. They try something new!
Hopefully Tecna Stans rise too
Tecna deserves ALL THE LOVE! 🥰
@@zhanehardy4297 Yeah. She saved everyone. She was willing to die for everyone.
@Will N i was going to in Season 3. But Bloom and Sky overshadowed Tecna's reunion.
Tecna, Musa and Flora are criminally underrated in how their magic works. Tecna should be able to make robots with a hit of magic. I think my favorite spell ever is S2 finale when she becomes the computer for the Owl after it got electrocuted by Stormy.
@@kristinahuchison2511 But at least Musa and Flora get seen together with Stella and Bloom as trio.
I’m totally here for individual breakdowns of the winx fairies (or characters in general)
SEASON 2 IS MY FAVORITE SEASON THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS :DDD
@@kristinahuchison2511 but then in season 7 she becomes a part-time winx member snd they even wanted to give her butterflix.
Flora: I love you
helia : I do too
ME : 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The dragon is usually symbol for the man and the phoenix the woman in marriages in Asia 😅😂
I headcanon Techna as autistic too. As an autistic woman it gets my stamp of approval.
Aisha has always been, is, and always will be the best character in the series
Thank you for making this great video and breaking down all the points that make season 2 so good and so underrated! Season 2 actually has my favourite season finale out of all first 3/4 seasons (I haven't watched the other seasons) with its immaculate pacing, beautiful actions and strong feelings. The escalation is just perfect starting from Bloom's abduction or even Professor Avalon's escape and reaching its highest point of suspense with Sky's collapse and everything seeming lost before Bloom starts healing herself and others. The fact that it is through Bloom's use of her own healing powers on herself and the people that she loves, that Lord Darkar is defeated holds such powerful and incredible symbolism as those same powers are systematically coveted to do evil and she always takes back ownership of them and uses them for good
season 2 has alwaaaays been my fave
loved this video and all your other winx videos!
Thank you! ;)
Marginally more useful than Tuxedo Mask? You didn't have to do my son like thisssss 😭
Weird actually... Season 2 was always my favorite cause it has so much good episodes and darkar is just... badass
YES, THE PART WITH THE PIXIES, I HAD VERY SIMILAR THOUGHTS A YEAR AGO! :D
How they were complementing or representing some sides of the Winx. (Imma write my thoughts below in a minute)

I actually agree with you.
Indeed a great show.....plus my fanfiction story about this show was never finished :))
in french dub she’s always been described as the fairy of fluids and not of waves
I really liked how you touched on what black women go through, especially with physical appearance because they still go through that today and it’s unacceptable. So thanks for bringing this up. Especially since it’s the black community
For me Aisha has always been the protagonist of season 2, first half of season 3 and 5
Season 2 has to be either the best or 2nd best season idc
