@zipzappower yes we have had lots of them the 33 open renegade signature series was one of the nicest boats I have ever had now there is a gts and rss version they also make a 38 cuddy we had recently come out of haul over and I was really hoping that you were filming because I watch your vids and love them now the renegade brand is making 38 opens and 42 cuddy cabins
God blessed the individual who filmed this with a knowledge of marine transportation, aquatic dynamics, boat design and a bang up sense of humor. The best video I have seen this year, thank you very much to the genius who filmed this.
I used to have a caddy who was friends with jack nicholson and we all went out through the bridges at key west with hunter s thompson. He spilt half a bag of coke, half a bottle of chivas and half a packet of dunhills exactly. It was terrifically bumpy on the way back
Gotta give props to the guy on the waverunner at 2:24. Explaining to his kid what he was doing, while being one of the driest people to make the run, LOL!
yes this video is perfect, just what we need!! zipzap we need more of these videos with small and medium size boats with big waves!! 0:56 that boat could sink :D 1:30 lol she fell off :D 2:56 a submarine :D
I’ve watched all your videos for the last few years, but this has got to be the nastiest spaced waves I’ve ever seen from this inlet. I own a Cobalt 232 and I was impressed that 33ft Cobalt rode level through that slop. My boat will never porpoise and probably would just nose through the waves. Even that 350 Sundance was taking them over the bow. Wowzer!
I love how the 3k deck boat with the old Evinrude looked so smooth compared to the .5 - 1 million dollar donk boats. Maybe because the Captain knew what he was doing.
There appears to be a connection between having your fenders flopping around having a passenger on the bow, receiving a concussion. Note to inlet runners in $300,000 boats. Fenders get stowed when you leave the dock
I’m no expert but when going in waves like that I find it helpful by trimming down the outboards instead of trimming up like some of them seem to be doing.
Only if a shitty brand with a thin or inferior hull you know the go fast boat go 90 plus in 4+ foot swells and launch them 20+ all the time......sure a hard enough/incorrect landing could do some damage but if it ain't junk I wouldn't worry about it stay up to date on your maintenance
I don't know half of those brands but I'm sure that most of those boats could have made it in/ out far easier and better than they did if the skippers knew how to handle their boats in those sorts of conditions.
There is definitely a big contrast in the various videos of boats crossing this inlet between those with knowledge a skills and those without a clue. Some relatively small boats make it over with zero drama.
Damn, you must have left right before I came back in. I was in a little 14ft cat skiff. As I'm approaching from offshore, a whole mess of 30-60ft boats all catch up and speed past me creating an insane orgy of wakes in the inlet. And because they were passing on both sides, I didn't have the option to abort and wait for the inlet to calm. It was a GNARLY ride.
Nevermind, I was thinking it was MARCH 18. Anyway, lmk if you ever get me on video (14ft twin vee w/ honda) -- I pass thru there a lot, but I usually avoid weekends for that very reason.
Love your channel. Im new to boating and trying to learn proper technique for exiting and entering inlets like this. Was the tide coming in while the wind was blowing out? Seems like going slower worked better heading out. Also trying to ride the wave in controlling the speed seemed the best. That dude on the SeaRay Sundancer @4:30 or so was lucky to hang on!
yep, ive taken my tiny little bow rider in 6ft+ seas, if you know how to handle it, it can be a LOT of fun, and can literally "surf" large swells with 150hp
It's funny that the boats with the roughest ride and people on front with no life vests have all their dock bumpers out and motors trimmed all the way down. No coincidence.
I find it interesting that so many people who have so much money are so stupid when it comes to practical things and likely too prideful to think they need to learn how to handle a boat.
Is there any schools or training they could attend to learn. I had a boat many years ago and pretty much learned as I go. I was on a large river and never in open ocean so it was not a big deal. I did take a Coast Guard training course but they never covered things like this.
What's the difference between haulover and open bow i have a 19 1/2ft Starcraft GM 4.3 liter OMC Outdrive I/O love it we also have a 12ft Aluminum V Bottom John Boat 10hp Johnson outboard A 4 person Paddle Boat Challenger 2000 Blowup boat a Blowup Kayak
ShakespeareCafe Seahunter. There custom fishing boats made in south Florida. I love mine. Look up the 45 seahunter. Most of them have a raised tower which is also a cool design
Some go to joy ride, chill, party, fish and come back right away or a few hours later, some go to the Bahamas, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Key Biscayne... lots of places to go.
You got me with the life flight bro! I've been coming back to see when you get the Faces of Death shot. Jet Ski-v-Pershing 9x would be awesome! only a matter of time- Hang in there.
Keep an eye on Pegasus...
Was that a Hinckley at 1:35?? Beautiful!
Yeah that was a good one lol
ZipZapPower she fell down, Bwahahaha
Jake nope, not a hinckley
And she was looking so hot
Man that "Reel Time" Seahunter is all I could dream about!!
That is a bad ass looking rig
Hell yeah! That girl was like..."there are waves here??"
4:15 the only dude with some balls
1:38 Now that is a sweet little rig.
Love how smooth the old boat at 145 came in a pro so smooth
Right them waves ain't nun to him
@@alias6militant some of them are pounding so hard I don't see how something don't come loose
People that insist on sitting in the bow section of the boat entering/exiting a inlet crack me up.
RegressMeNot ikr
Captains that allow it are even funnier. Its a miracle more people dont get drown or get hurt in that cut
Worth mentioning but I thought I'd leave it to those that had experience on boats to make that point. :)
RegressMeNot my kids would want too and love it lol till they fell out ofcourse haha
that guy could have easily got dumped overboard
2:40 is a Renegade Powerboat it’s a 33 cuddy cabin with twin 400 racing verodoes
that is a nice boat, I like the cuddy cabins.
1:30 that woman falling
lol
She thought she was all that while trying to look special.... then the ocean gave me a laugh.
Florian Hoflehner i know right
btube2006 right 😁
I thought the same, she was trying to look so cool and sophisticated . . . but then they say "pride comes before a fall"
"Reel Time" is the way to go. First class all the way.
God blessed the individual who filmed this with a knowledge of marine transportation, aquatic dynamics, boat design and a bang up sense of humor. The best video I have seen this year, thank you very much to the genius who filmed this.
Thanks! I'm happy you noticed the nuances in the vid.
This is a winner...!!!!!! You have managed to capture so much stupid in one video, BRAVO, BRAVO !!! I am crying laughing...!!!LOL
I used to have a caddy who was friends with jack nicholson and we all went out through the bridges at key west with hunter s thompson. He spilt half a bag of coke, half a bottle of chivas and half a packet of dunhills exactly. It was terrifically bumpy on the way back
Great examples of how not to traverse a large swell. One of my favorites so far! Great job!
Gotta give props to the guy on the waverunner at 2:24. Explaining to his kid what he was doing, while being one of the driest people to make the run, LOL!
04:58 that sea hunter is a tank wow very impressive!!!
Love the rough water videos!!! It's great to see how different hulls react to the inlet.
yes this video is perfect, just what we need!! zipzap we need more of these videos with small and medium size boats with big waves!!

it was a god day, nice waves and lots of traffic, there have been days like this before, but not busy like this.
Call me crazy, but I wanna drive my boat through that chop, I enjoy a good bouncy ride every once in a while
wish i lived there.....i could watch that boats and that beautifull blue water every day and never got bored.
I love how the 3k deck boat with the old Evinrude looked so smooth compared to the .5 - 1 million dollar donk boats. Maybe because the Captain knew what he was doing.
Lol, glad you caught that, i included that shot cause it is so funny to watch him just skirt around the rough water
at 3 40 look how the boston whaler handles like its nothing another reason why the 420 out rage is my dream boat
Thats amazing that those hard hits don't crack the boats. Some of those boats hit hard
There appears to be a connection between having your fenders flopping around having a passenger on the bow, receiving a concussion.
Note to inlet runners in $300,000 boats. Fenders get stowed when you leave the dock
lazy boaters or no storage left, totally agree
I’m no expert but when going in waves like that I find it helpful by trimming down the outboards instead of trimming up like some of them seem to be doing.
Back in the 70s and 80s when I was a kid we took our boat out through there. It always scared the shit out of me
The 42ft Boston whaler was beautiful
4:11 tutorial on how to destroy your hull👍

He thinks he's cool
@@stirlingmoore that's not really true. Just depends on the a gle you hit the water and speed. Most boats have around the same haul
Deck boat with a 30 yr old 'Rude for the win!
deckert618 im runnin a 65 year old johnson. most reliable engine ive ever owned
Serveck honestly feel pity to read that
That dude is nuts.
Been watching these videos and the best part is jamping while exiting and nose diving while enering the inlet
That Sabre is Beautiful..sailed right through.. rare to see a Northeast boat down there.. Built for some rough seas..
Best SeaHunter ad ever
2:25 what kind of experience is it fishing in a jet ski? I want to try.
Ask a shark
Oh the beautiful SABRE at 1:42, cutting straight through it
Note to self.... pontoons fare the inlets better than a 300k yellow fin
not a pontoon it was a tri hull. old school fiberglass boat
I don't know half of those brands but I'm sure that most of those boats could have made it in/ out far easier and better than they did if the skippers knew how to handle their boats in those sorts of conditions.
Ben Mac Word.

Facts!
HYPNOTIC WATCHING WITH WINE
LOVE IT
That sea Hunter 45 just ran right through like it was nothing. Badass
1:35 now that's a good boat
Ya buddy nothing but fun. Boat at 2:58 took a good washing lol
Always look forward to your videos, especially when the water is a bit rough. Thank you.
The water gets rough with the change of the tide. So like twice a day.
4 to 5 hits and watching this is so relaxing ☺️
Looks like prime time for some jet ski wave jumping
Haha ill send it
That Hinckley was very impressive. It cut through the waves like they weren't even there.
yes, super impressive. i put her in there so people could see the difference of hull shapes in the same water.
That haulover bridge/channel in Miami...if it is we used to jump off the bridge when we were kids....at slack tide...
I was in government cut in biscayne and it was storming and there were 9 ftt waves through the cut. I was on a 50 footer and it was still rough
Haulover! No stopping
no idea why this is so fun to watch.
That little boat at the end sailed pass 😆
420 Outrage! No problems in this chop!
Hawkinszm1 Exactly! Whalers are awesome
Ate that INLET up!!!! 👍
amazing ride,,,, we have the 370 outrage... handles this stuff like a tank..
what the fuck do you expect? Its heavy... '42 foot and they're decent designs
more on this... This was a great video showing how the different boats handle the rough stuff.
simply WOW! one of the best rough water vids
thanks!
So everyone just gonna ignore that guy who got his head smack real hard on the boat at 0:44😂😂😂😂😂
Love the videos. I find them really therapeutic.
happy to hear that! i take pleasure in other peoples leisure.
1 - why do people always want to ride in the bow??
2 - lol @ all the idiots with their fenders flopping around
Great vid, thanks!!!
tacticalretreat because they want to get hit by props. Stupid inexperienced captains. Money can buy the boat but not experience
This is top 3 ZZP! Decent size waves, lots of action. 2:15, 4:00, great to see sub 20ft boats in the inlet.
Happy you like!
Why does that Everglades 290 starting at 0:38 keep stuffing. Just stacked up that tight?
Actually that's a 320. Just noticed the anchor.

I still have another batch of clips to edit from that day, i'll keep an eye out for you!

People on the bow of a small boat. Time for another boating course.
Once you get past the breakers, about 3 miles out, the ocean should be easy rolling swelling seas, been there done that
4:30 the dude in Jorts LMAO!!!
Your best video yet....
The boat at 4:41is the best
If I have a boat in that area, I'd mount a mechanic bull on the bow, and offer paid ride through the inlet.
good idea, pick up riders at the sand bar and take 'em out.. a lot of the boats come out for that reason to have a little fun in the chop
What boat is that at 2:40 in the video? It has great lines!
Looks like a Renegade 32' Cuddy
These vids are kinda relaxing tbh
The fiberglass repair industry must be booming there....
Its pretty unbelievable how many people there are with boats and boating skills completely inadequate for the conditions.
I like how the black and white with a red line in it boat do it
there was some nice hull slapping in this one

on shore wind, outgoing tide for most of the vid
yep, ive taken my tiny little bow rider in 6ft+ seas, if you know how to handle it, it can be a LOT of fun, and can literally "surf" large swells with 150hp
Slow down to where you can maneuver safely. 90% of ppl in vid going to fast and just rocking their passengers .
It's a timing thing and speed, relative to the swell.
Those are some great shots. Personally I love a lot of wave action but I can see why some people freak out.
The guy driving the little blue boat with white mercury finessed tf outta that
420 Outrage Whaler handles it like a boss, amazing ride.
at 3:30
1:43 's got the idea oh and 3:35 "excuse me coming through!"
The sea hunter at 5:00 😍😍

We never wear life jackets on the boat either 🤷🏼♂️ gotta have full faith in your captain.
Why do you trim all the way down?
Blue cruiser at 1.38 is the daddy
@2:10 what boat is that?
Throttle management and intelligence is vital when boating.
So what’s the best way to approach this? Trim up and more power?
No
That first Everglades looks like it’s as lite as a feather lol
That seahunter was eating that shit up!
Dam the lady fell off the leaning post and smacked the deck at 1:33!
I could watch the jv team all day on their boats!!
I’m glad I don’t have to maneuver that pass.
Where exactly is this located. I would love to go here and watch the boats
Haulover Inlet check it on Google Maps
the boat at 3:40 is soooo nice
Sugar Skull Gaming Boston Whaler 420 Outrage beast of a boat
That sea hunter though
Beautiful boat. Very impressive if you see it in a trailer in the streets as well.
Forgive me I've never taken a boat through an inlet. But whats the best/proper way to do it?
I would like to know too. I'm a boat lover ,but I have no clue about operating one.
@@gabrielgolden7110 Trim up, slow down. I have 25 years of experience.

First boat had a bunch of sea gulls on it I think??? Fender city "leave em out boys". Put the dock tackle away.
Who makes the Reel Time 4:55 ? That's a unique flying bridge setup
Sea Hunter is the boat, it is a neat setup

4:13 let’s just throttle in and the freedom will think about the rest. Qualified captain.
What's the boat at 1:35?
Is there a reason why they have to go fast? Is it wrong to go slowly or betweens the waves?
4:24 "Alright boys, imma just go get my tan game on while getting a nice massage from the boat clapping the 7 foot swells"
So where are all the boats going ? For a ride in the ‘ Ocean’? Very few are fishing boat. Are they coming back in a couple of hours later?
Some go to joy ride, chill, party, fish and come back right away or a few hours later, some go to the Bahamas, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Key Biscayne... lots of places to go.
4:29 HAHAHAHA
Stupid people.
Pretty sure those kids should be wearing life jackets lol
Why are some boats affected so little? Ar they carrying more beer or something?
