Such beautiful socks! And the fractal spinning technique intrigues me.

It’s a lot of fun to see the yarn come together while you ply!!! Treat yourself to a nice braid with color repeats 😍

Wonderful to see your back 💖🤗 definitely missed you . The socks are beautiful so is your yarn . I've been looking at wheels but senses your last video I'm thinking for me I'll go with the electric eel wheel after hearing your review . Can't wait to order and start spinning

I have missed you as well!!!! I really like the eel, it’s a lot of fun and def at an affordable price point. The owner has lots of videos on UA-cam about them as well. The nano is smaller but only costs $100. I love the Maurice, who makes the wheels, has a variety of options at different price points. Not sponsored, clearly just a fan. 😂 I remember you saying you wanted to get one at the start of the pandemic. 😘😘

Hi Naomi! Love the Cardigan and the color. The Olive Garden spin is lovely, too! My mojo is stagnate right now. I still haven't even sat and played with my new EEW 6 yet. Hopefully by the time I sit down to play Maurice will have all the trouble shooting videos out. lol Can't wait to see your new loom video. I am playing on mine more than really making anything. lol As always thanks for sharing.

Oh I hope you find the mojo to use your new eel. I am loving it so far!! And yes, in trying to just jump in with the loom and have fun. I mean, what the heck am I going to do with all this fabric I make?! 😂 I’ll solve that problem when the time comes.

@@FelicityYarnStudio Did you get one too? I have the 5.2 model, but with all the videos I watched I think the 6 is faster and does have bigger bobbins. That is why I went ahead and splurged at the last call on the Kickstarter. I will try to play with it some time this week and let you know my thoughts. lol

The cardigan is gorgeous!! Well done! I can relate to the cardigan flaps open in crazy ways. I, unfortunately gave a few to charity. Sometimes I think I make them too big. 😂 I would love to see you someday and have a LH. Would be super cool. Have a great week and see ya soon 😊🧶

Lol, thanks Cindy! I think that’s why I knit so many pullovers. No flapping!! 😂😂 and yes one day well have a nice long hug and a cuppa. 💛

The zoom ins on this video are giving me life 🤣👍🏼
Your cardigan is beautiful and the colour you’ve chosen is divine 😍 I have been finding lots of joy spinning. Recently finished my first full fleece spin and have already started my next one, can’t stop won’t stop!
Excited to see your weaving progress

Oh my gosh, I think there’s two types of spinners. Those who process a fleece from start to finish and those who buy a fleece and let it sit under their tv console for 2 years. 🙈 At least it’s washed, right? I hope you post pics or a new episode of all your handspun 😍

Cardi is gorgeous. Love the color, it looks great on you. I think us being in FL may have some guilty pleasure as we’re not locked down, which oddly makes me feel bad for talking or showing anything I may do? (If that makes sense) I am currently working on a few crocheted items and one knit (Habitation Throw) which is moving way too slow (my knitting). Awesome color in the Olive Garden colorway! It would make an amazing sweater, and the color would look fantastic on you. (Dumb question, is the electric wheel for spinning and plying or just plying? Don’t know if I was listening correctly). Have a fantastic week my friend. 💛🤗

    • @yarncurator
      @yarncurator  3 роки тому +1

Hey Tammi!!!! I love the habitation throw, I’m sure yours will turn out gorgeous!! You can spin singles and ply on the wheel! It’s great if your looking for something on a budget. I’m really loving it so far. I bought it with the intent of primarily plying, but I think it might become my main wheel for spinning in general.
And yes to the guilty pleasures!! It’s such an odd dichotomy to be living through. Open but locked down at the same time. 💛💛

your zoom ins are cracking me up!
I have the NANO, and i really adore it for the small size. And i mostly knit fingering weight, so it's pretty good. But plying requires some work. I want the 6.0...but why spend $300 when you can spend 3 months and $100...so my husband and I are designing one on Tinkercad and plant to print the fly arm and cut the base and supports out of wood.

I saw your post on IG the other day and wondered what you were up to! 😂 I cannot wait to see your hacked electric wheel. I wish I had an engineering brain, but it doesn’t work like that. Also, I would be lying if I didn’t say I kind of want to add the Nano to my fleet.

You will get there with the spinning, especially on the e-spinner you got! It took me years to spin this fine, but the e wheel really made a difference!

    Hi Naomi,
As always love and hugs to you.
I am really bad at remembering to like and comment on videos of content I love, so here goes.
Regarding the knitting mojo, lack there of; Stephen West. Stephen West patterns are great from slumps as they get you to think differently about knitting and construction and makes knitting exciting again. This is what works for me.
Trying new crafts is also a good idea, good luck with the weaving and sheep breed study, I hope it restokes the crafting fire within you.
Loved ones don't let loved ones toes go unkitchenered.
That cardigan you are working on looks amazing! so comfy and versatile.
That Olive Garden yarn is BEAUtiful. I really hope you get to make something super special with it.

Hey Amy!!!!!!! Thank you so much for such a lovely response. I LOVE west knits. I really want to make vertices unite, and hopefully out of handspun. I have an idea brewing for it. Talk to you soon!!! 💛

The color used for the socks is beautiful! Try the Finchley graff next time. ua-cam.com/video/h3sD_RU720c/v-deo.html I hope the link works. It is super simple and if you have to stop mid way thru, you will know where to start. The sweater is gorgeous! The color is perfect. So glad to see you and MYC.
