Just type in wisteria richard shindell and scroll down a few videos. It's only 1:36 seconds long and if you watch his Shrewsbury Folk Festival video you'll see that I'm playing it wrong. No surprise there. The notes might be close but I play them in a different position than he does at least the way he plays it in Shrewsbury. Type in Samsonito and you can view all of them. If I'm wearing ridiculous clothes on some of them it was done just for fun and I don't really dress like that. Samsonito was my cat's name. My name is Dale

My guitar skills aren't sufficient to learn to play as you do, never mind sing at the same time. Would you mind playing it through, all the way if possible? I'd be so grateful. Thanks for suffering through that. There are a couple videos of You Stay Here that should get you going. If you want professional free tutorials watch Andy's videos. Type in "shut up and play". In my opinion he's best on youtube by far. Some with tab that you can buy for $8 You used to be able to buy all of them but copyright people made him stop. Check him out.
It's crooked on purpose. The angle allows me extra room for my left hand when I'm fretting the high strings on the first fret. Otherwise, it gets in my way.
Actually I don't have a couple of spots as well as I thought. What are you playing at 7:38-9? Is your index finger on the second fret A string and ring on the 4th of the D string? I'm having a brain freeze...
I'd never seen that video before but it's not my style of playing. I can't sing, strum or flatpick. Shindell's an awesome flatpicker. He flatpicks songs that I always thought he fingerpicked until I saw him live. These are just first position chords that you should be able to handle. The beauty is all in the right hand.

Between tabs I found years ago that didn't print out right (and cut some parts out) and your tutorial, I have it figured out up to the refrain. Thanks for posting. I'll get the rest of it.

Is there a particular finger picking pattern that can be used in at least some of the song?
Not really, just try to listen to the melody. It's not like a regular Travis picking song.
