    Ahhh… emotions.. haha. We all have them. The good ones, andddd.. the not so good ones. But we don’t always manage them the right way - especially those that are mostly negative.
    I know I’ve been guilty of this more times than I’d like to admit.
    But in this video, I will show you some things that I’ve learned…😉😄 (Like… did you know allowing yourself to feel these negative emotions can have a benefit?) I’ll also take you through ways that many of us incorrectly try to master or control our emotions and deal with these negative thoughts. And then show you what it looks like to deal with, manage, control, master, and regulate these negative emotions + anxiety in a HEALTHY way! For the benefit of our mental health! 💛

The best thing is that you recognize it though, now you can take small intentional steps to express your emotions in a healthier way. Something I heard the other day is small tweaks lead to giant peaks and that is so true! 😍 you’ve got this Sherri!!!

    do you have any tips on internalised self hate?
    I used to have such negative thoughts- I thought everyone would thank me if I wouldn't leave the house, or that my friends back then only want to be nice when they ask to hang out but secretly hated me. at one time I decided to just don't care anymore, it helped me to deal with my feelings superficially but deep down these thoughts manifested themselves in my heart.
    I know I was being irrational, but these feelings of despair and self hate I had sometimes get triggered and I just don't know how to deal with them. I start to cry, but I dont know why exactly and I can't stop until I almost faint from hyperventilating.
    I don't know what to do, I don't feel like I'm being myself or anyone, I don't know what I am, all I feel is despair. and it is so difficult to find a therapist where I live, opening up is even harder. I just want to be close to someone and my true self...

      First, I would say that I completely understand and sympathize with what you’re saying here. I want to invite you to understand though, they the feelings do have a source.. that they didn’t just appear one day and then decide to effect the rest of your life. There was a moment in time that convinced you that people don’t really want to be nice to you, that they secretly don’t like you, that they will betray you, that they’ll lie. Think about when was the first time you felt that way…. And then when you’re able to remember that moment, really take a few seconds to dive in… what were you feeling? Who were you with? What happened in the moment?… and then I want you to take a look at that little child. Can you see or find any innocence in her? How could she have not deserved that treatment? What would have been good for her to have instead? Is there a way that somehow, you can give that to her now?…
      Remember Luz, the same hurt and baggage that we felt at the source of some of our biggest wounds will still be there if we don’t tackle them at the root. So take some time to do that… take some time to understand what you need - love, attention, loyalty, etc - And then think, how can you, Luv Z, begin to give those things to yourself. How can you show yourself love, how can you show yourself attention, how can you show yourself loyalty and show up for yourself?… it could be as simple as starting a self care routine or going for a walk when you say you’re going to go for a walk. Or starting a gratitude about your life journal. It could be any one of these things or more but it’s just important that you start to give these things to you first. Because if you don’t believe that you’re worthy of love, loyalty, attention, affection, when others try to give it to you it will be hard or even impossible to accept it. ♥️.
      And then lastly, if you’re having trouble finding a therapist in person, maybe try to find one online? There are a lot of affordable options such as betterhelp.com. You’ll be able to write what you’re looking for and what you’re struggling with (such as self love) and find a therapist that specializes in that area.
      At the end of the day though Luv, I want to remind you, in case you need some help starting the journey, that you are SOOO SOOOOOOOO worthy of love my friend, you are. Whether it feels like the truth right now or not, remind yourself that until it feels like the truth (because it is). You are beautiful my friend, and SO worthy of love. 😍♥️🥰🤗💕♥️♥️♥️♥️ love you!!!!!

    Thank you so much for this video. This is how I've lived my life and how I was taught to. I've been trying to change from that and it feels really overwhelming, but hearing you explain the benefits of change/consequences if I don't has really helped me.

      Awww Lauren, it means the world that I could help you understand this a bit more. It’s super common to lock up your emotions so don’t feel guilty about it, but the fact that you realize it and are you’re trying is LEGIT half the batter. I’m going to be putting out a video on how to actually label our emotions and figure out what we’re feeling inside so look out for that! Often when we shut our emotions off for a long time (or are taught to do this like in your case) when we ARE feeling we can’t really pinpoint what that feeling is. So I’m gnna help with that 😄♥️♥️ in the meanwhile, I have a workbook on journaling to release negative emotions that you can download! 😍 if it helps, you can download that out if you haven’t already!     this reminded me of majin buu from dragonball z, how he would get mad and steam would come out of his head like a kettle or something. then he got so mad when it all got released his "evil" version came out and got the best of him.

    Love talking emotions! Such an important topic because emotions shape our life!
    Most of the times we remember is because of an emotion.
    The most important thing i learnt from my councillor is that there's no bad emotions. I'd love to collab with you sometime, if you'd be up for that? More people need to hear this and you're soooo easy to watch! Love it! Smashed the like button! Looking forward to more! I looked myself up after my dad died from the good and bad emotions like you said! More more more!

And my sincerest condolences for your father. 🤍 It takes so much strength and courage to be able to look back and see how you locked yourself up from feeling during that time… I feel like traumatic events can definitely spark that reaction in us.
