- Tribute to Metal Gear character Paz. Paz Ortega Andrade, real name Pacifica Ocean, was a Cipher agent who infiltrated the Militaires Sans Frontières during the Peace Walker Incident in 1974. She had taken possession of Metal Gear ZEKE and she gave Big Boss the opportunity to surrender to Cipher. But he resists and after a hard fight, Big Boss comes out the victor and Paz ends in the sea.
Big Boss finds out that Paz was still alive and a prisoner of XOF, he goes to save both her and Chico. Once you get on the helicopter, he removes a bomb from the belly of Paz, placed by Skull Face to kill Big Boss. However, you will find that Paz had another bomb and saves Big Boss by throwing herself from the helicopter. Before her rescue, Skull Face had promised to Paz that Big Boss would be safe if she would tell him where Zero is, and so, she confessed.
Paz also appeared as an illusion of Venom Snake.

The biggest plot wise in video game history, and the most heartbreaking... Especially after trying to save her and Chico...
She died trying to preserve both The Patriots and Outer Heaven, she lived to her name.

At first I was like "Who cares about Paz she's just in the trash games", but Kefka's editing can make anything seem completely amazing. Paz's arc is arguably the best part of MGSV, and this video managed to capture its essence very well.

I know, I'm exaggerating a bit. Definitely my least favorites, but they do have some redeeming qualities.

KSubzero1000 nah, I’m pretty sure I know why some people don’t like them-especially those that are used to past MGS’ linearity and direction.

KSubzero1000 depends. Most of the MGS games are among my favorites, as they approach things in different ways.
For the epitome of what Metal Gear is? MGS. I want to say “MGS2”, but I guess Liquid tied it up better with his personality in the end than what Solidus did.
For the ultimate Kojima-approved stealth game? The Phantom Pain, of course. Despite being the troubled child from an abusive parent (which is evident by how Kojima steered away from an MGSV gameplay in that after-Konami UA-cam series he produced), it still remains one of the best Stealth game out there due to how the AI react to you, and how open-ended your approach to them and exit from them are. Even without PC mods, it was still taking a few heads away from The Witcher 3 for GOTY. Shame they couldn’t develop it further for another year and stomp that streamer fuel ass that is Overwatch.
I gotta say though, I do notice what was happening in those games after playing them. MGS2 feels like MGS but more expanded, while MGS3-while still being that hit ‘90s action movie flick-spawned the “Big Boss Army Project” which are:
Portable Ops which tried to be MGS3 Portable,
Peace Walker which tried to be Portable Ops but better,
and MGSV which tried to be Peace Walker but better.
Metal Gear sure was a wild ride. Shame it had to end with Konami raping its corpse.

She didn't... before boarding ZEKE she destroy bipedal locomotion? on ZEKEs leg so ZEKE wouldn't fight well (remember in PW, Snake can catch the stomp of ZEKE). Thats why she was tortured in MGSV because of betrayal.

Yousef Alamer There was basically no new information in Phantom Pain. Every single plot point excluding Quiet and Skull Face could have been assumed based off of existing evidence in previous MGS games.

Honestly it was nice to see a little more into the glimpse of what happened in between those times, though, and play through it. It definitely needed more cutscenes and Skull Face. He was arguably one of the best parts of the game, but isn’t in it that much.
