I'm glad I found your video. I watched another video where the gentleman removed the entire battery box. I was looking on my car last night and thought "I'll cut a hole in that MFer before I take it off". Thanks for the reinforcement.
@@franksmith9931 I think if Dodge had kept the Dart they would have eventually modified the battery tray allowing access to the bolt underneath for a much easier removal of the mount!
So this vehicle was making a clunking noise when driving, especially when you start and stop. If you have a second person leave the hood up and have them drive slowly, and then brake- if the engine has a lot of movement you need to replace it. Also, there are three mounts, and I would check all of them.
Believe it or not, with the right tools, it's easy to remove the battery housing. Hah, I've done it before in order to replace the shifting cable's bushing. 1 week before I got the recall notice.😂😅😅

Honestly- do what you can afford, but know that you get what you pay for. This is my daughters car and I know how to replace them so I bought the cheap ones on Amazon knowing I’ll be replacing them again in about 50,000 miles. Good luck!
SAME! I replaced 2 sets of mounts this year. So instead of putting the regular ole OEM mounts in, I filled the mounts with polyurethane window weld, let it cure, and then installed them. night and day difference and they should hold up for a lot longer than regular mounts. Highly recommend
Best aftermarket mount is hands-down the ones from Deyeme Racing. They come if flex or firm stiffness, with a solid metal bottom mount as an option as well. They'll last 3 or 4 times longer than OEM mounts easily

What are the torque on the mount bolts for this car? I didn't see you mention it.
I don’t have the tech manuals, so I torqued them to 80nm or 59 ft. Lbs.
How do you know its bad what was happening
