For you DIY people I changed this one myself and the comments here say "you have to remove the bracket" and tbh that bracket cannot be removed unless you remove that exhaust that's next to it. the bolts holding the bracket are at least 3in long and won't come out. The easiest way I found to replace it is to remove the two nuts in the middle thats holding the exhaust and the catalytic converter together. Removing these two nuts will allow you to move the engine forward a little more and you won't struggle as much as the guy in the video. Mine went in smoothly it was just pushing that engine forward that made it a little difficult.
I just did this job today on my wife’s 2015 2.0 engine. Best thing to do is to move the 2 nuts at front of exhaust flange plus 1 bolt that’s holding exhaust to motor. After doing so the exhaust and be moved to the side allowing you to remove the 3 bolts on the bracket that hold mount. Engine will allow more movement of the engine and finessing mount in.
I have been accumulating parts for my Dodge dart for the past few months now. I have new lower control arms, sway bar end links, tie rod ends, all engine mounts, rotors, brakes, and struts that are still on the way.
can these be damaged by bottoming out or trying to push through deep sand?? Outside of the dealership what can you expect to pay a private garage to replace one of these? Easy to diagnose which is one is making the clacking noise? On my 2018 Promaster city Van these seem to be under engineered?
Why didn't you use a Bungee Cord or some Twine to hold the Fuse Box out of your way so you can work away with both hands? Just affix to the bottom part of the Wiper Blade or Hood Hinge. Would have saved you more time fumbling with the Fuse Box. Your Idea isn't bad though. Another thing you should have included was Torque Spec's for the Bolts...or do you just take your chances on Elbow Grease?
To anyone doing this take off the bracket he skipped. Then go buy 3 m12-1.75x55mm SS bolts. Its a E20 short to take them off. Replace them with the new bolts you will understand when your down there. Also socket to wrench adapters make it easier not enough room to get a ratchet next to the exhaust so the wrench adapter helps. Also use a jack hold it up from the oil pan then you wont fight it back into place it will stay in place.
Yeah, that thing that was damaged under the car that you just refer to as "this" is called a skid plate. If you are any kind of a mechanic, you SHOULD know that.

You probably damage the new one, all for avoiding a step which is necessary, removing that bracket.
For engine mount removal is necessary remove the bracket
Is it possible you can also do a video for changing the struts on the dart?

It's better to remove the other part in order to get more care with mount
🐐🐐🐐
Excelente 👌
This video has helped me a lot
This is why I fear "mechanics."
Could not you just lift the transmission up so you have room to take the mount out and in ? I meant jack it up a bit
I already see damage on the mount after hit the mount with pry bat and hammer
Cambie todos los soportes no tiembla pero hace un sonido feo como si estuviera un gato que me saldría mal ya que los cambie con cuidado
sometime it just needs to be done the "hard way"
Bro are you kidding me, that’s a customers car
Good job thanks
