Gord, I have to give you credit. You really have mastered hand filing those chains. That MS462 really throws the wood chips (saw dust ). It is a great time of year to spend in the woods. Cheers.
Good morning buddy you and Guy got lots of firewood done in no time that's a great set up works very nice and man your saw is really cutting good job sharpening it you guys take care have a great week
Another fantastic day in the woods with Gord and Guy, great hustle on you two's part and beat the storm. Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
That 462 sure does the job. Good seeing you guys again. Stay safe. Lightning can come when you least expect it from a storm. Glad to see you out of there before it hit.
Ford.. Another great vid of you out in the woods.. I totally remember when you first started and a few times you dulled the saw into the dirt. You’ve come good and now are quite the dude out in the woods.
Good vid, Gord, thanks again. I'm always puzzled though, with all of the firewood producers on UA-cam, only Buckin' uses a pulp hook, and not too often at that. I'm always using mine when moving unsplit rounds, although not for split firewood. It extends my reach a bit and is always a one handed grab of the round.
Morning Scott. I have a picaroon from LogOX and perhaps I should try using it more as I rarely use it. Thanks , I may bring it along this week. Cheers Scott!
Gord, fine Video. Nice looking Ash Wood, possibly a little Maple. That 462 is a Beast, and a good Sharp Chain. Beautiful team Work between you and Guy, for 3 trailer Loads done. I am Starting to Cut again over the Weekend, Oak, and Locust. Stay Safe, and Above all Kind to 1 another. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Good video as always Gord......just one thing I always notice, that vertical log splitter looks very un safe, looks like one wrong move and no more hand. Hope Im wrong but be safe and keep this safety issue in mind . Iowa, USA
Yep! Just ask Phil (Allen family firewood). Almost lost a thumb. ALWAYS hold the wood on the sides (as shown). BUT, they are a joy to operate - I own a Wolfe Ridge 17vs.
Hey good morning and thanks for the comment and concern. It is lightening fast for sure - one very important new feature on this AXIS we like alot, is that we can turn down the speed of the cylinder. And we do. It is set in this video at it's slowest speed while still maintaining full splitting power. Thumbs down until the wedge hits the wood for sure. :)) Thanks again - very kind of you of - I appreciate it very much. Have a nice week and all the best!
That splitter just rips through those rounds! What is the ton capacity? I don’t think I have seen you do any maintenance like oil changes etc, is this a sponsored use machine? You guys do great work!
Morning BL:T. I believe it is a 14 ton ( I know - but pretty sure). I don't often ever do videos on the oil changes etc on our small engine stuff. Yes, Andrew loaned it to us to use - very grateful. Have a nice day out there!
Morning Tom - great question. It is because of the narrow access from where the logs are and no where to quickly turn sideways so, I have to pile them this way, such that I can bring them in drop and back out easily. Would have been much better to have the logs parallel as you suggest, for sure, if there was space to do it quickly. Cheers!
I have never seen anything that marks your logs before . Great idea .
You guys do really nice work I enjoy watching your videos
Great job gp !!!¡¡¡¡
Team work makes all the differance. Lots of work but well worth it.
👍great video
Hope your week is good GP. Looks like leaves are coming down fast there. ☕👍

Morning Daniel. It sure makes a big difference. I am very happy with the results lately so I think I am getting the hang of it. Have a good one!
I know what you mean by a race against the rain. Been there quite a few times before and probably will have to do it more. Enjoy your videos
LOL - Cheers Joey!

Race against the rain? Does that turn this into a hollywood action video? :)
LOL! Cheers Steve!

Hey gord that thing you use to mark out the length of the wood, what’s it called again?
It's a Mingo Marker Dave. Have a great day!
@@GPOutdoors thanks gord you too
Just curious. Is there a reason you don't pile the logs parallel to the splitter so that the chips don't fly at the splitter?

Thanks for the reply. I figured there had to be logical reason.
Wow just seen it whats name of that rake?
Sorry Roger, I don't know and Guy can't remember - he bought it a long time ago but it is great for the wood yard.
Gordon, What year and model is your neighbors Kubota tractor? It looks somewhat like mine. Thanks
Morning Wayne - it is an L3400 I believe 2005 vintage. Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors Thanks Gordon. I like how you guys work together. Fire wood makes a great "team sport"
