It would seem because of your circumstances, now that you're an adult you should be able to bring charges against teachers and schools. I hope that's true, although it might be very stressful. They should have to pay for counseling to help you get through damage they have done to you, and the destruction of a future you could have had with the correct education and treatment. I hope the best for you.
These are people we are supposed to be able to trust with our children. When actually they shouldn't be anywhere near kids! Abusing handicapped children, how disgusting. What goes around comes around! I truly believe this.
It took me 18 years to get the school in the town that we lived in for them to approve a class for special needs . the town push these kids off to other school districts . I learned the schools are suppose to provide for whatever the child needs . Get a child advocate and IEP .
I’m sorry Mom. I was lucky that my son got an excellent education and socialization at a tiny school district in Texas. Good luck and keep searching - I moved into that area for him and it was worth it. ❤❤
I'm thankful I live in New York state sometimes because in a situation like this the state would require the current School district to provide busting to the new school district. Or they would make the school pay for sending the girl to a special school and there are so many special schools for kids with special needs in our state. Too bad she had to sell her house and move just because the school can't adequately keep her daughter safe. But as a parent you will do anything for your child and she is the epitome of that saying
public schools have become no better than the institutions that were shut down in the 1990s....so glad mine go out in the early 2000s. Special education is only concerned about funding.
When is the public going to wake up and DEMAND that there be cameras in these public schools??? We have cameras everywhere in our public areas. There should be cameras in these schools in this day and age!!!
Home-school all the way. Nobody (nobody) cares about/looks after your child better than you do. Get certified to become a Nanny (First Aid/Early Years Dev) & get paid to look after other peoples kids in your own home.
This is crazy how this people are geting away from this is Why didnt thay see the sighns thats crazy how on safe this is for this children When in doubt that your child is being abouse Take them to the hosiptale and get it reoorted from the ploice
I don’t think the school has safety measures that are acceptable. I mean these children are going there you are handicapped and looking for love and attention and education and they’re not getting it instead they’re getting abuse and that’s not OK and this school should comment on that instead of just sitting out and laying some public excuse.
I don’t care how much a parent wants their handicapped child to be “normal”, they just won’t ever be. My brother has cerebral palsy and there was a school nearby dedicated to children with special needs. The entire staff had special training to take care of the children and there was extra medical staff on site. My brother loved it and made many friends there. He didn’t care about being at a “normal” school and us girls were envious of his school. They had alot of fun and the kids still learned. My brother went on to a regular school for JH & HS and has worked for IBM since he was 21, without a college degree. This was also a public school so no extra charge to the families. Regular schools are just not equipped to handle children who need more care and supervision and we shouldn’t expect it of them. My brother’s elementary school prepared him to stand up for himself in JH & HS and to not care or just ignore kids who were bullies. He never had any problems. We need to bring these schools back.
Lost money because she had to sell and move? Add that, plus pain and suffering to the lawsuit. That email was the standard cookie cutter reply for all inquiries that are a pain the in the butt….in other words, ye ole kiss off.
No child is physically, morally, or emotionally safe in public school regardless of ability--especially children in diapers who cannot communicate. You cannot advocate for a child unless you are physically present 100% of the time.
I think there should be realtime cameras in each of these special classrooms that parents can log onto and see what is actually taking place throughout the day.
If this was happening to two kids in the same schools. Hope each parent files a police report to seeing a doctor afterwards for thier own evidence against the school. This isn’t acceptable how these students were being abused. The school needs to act to found out what had gone wrong in the classroom.
Parents I implore you, if there is no video cameras where your kids are enrolled, it’s time to contact your state representative regarding this. These special needs children do not need incompetent people taking care of them. As for the bruises definitely contact the police dept. As a parent advocate for your child, you are their voice and it’s your tax dollars being spent for employees that need to be held responsible!
tax payers should not be forced to pay taxes at any school they don't feel comfortable putting their money into. If the parents homeschool, then their taxes should be going to them for homeschool.
If your child gets bruises, go to the hospital and make a police report. You can fight placement. I had to get a lawyer.
💯

They should have to pay for counseling to help you get through damage they have done to you, and the destruction of a future you could have had with the correct education and treatment. I hope the best for you.
They’re failing miserably at student safety if one child had her teeth knocked out and another went home in bruises.
These are people we are supposed to be able to trust with our children. When actually they shouldn't be anywhere near kids! Abusing handicapped children, how disgusting. What goes around comes around! I truly believe this.
So sad. In the land of the brave and the free ?😢😢😢
When will it's time to start caring cause the school and environments are absolutely unsafe for children?😢😢😢😢😢
Horrible & disgusting. Poor kids. 😢
Homeschool !!
It took me 18 years to get the school in the town that we lived in for them to approve a class for special needs . the town push these kids off to other school districts . I learned the schools are suppose to provide for whatever the child needs . Get a child advocate and IEP .
Heartbreaking story.
Thank God the abuse is being exposed!
Absolutely!
SOOOOO SAD THEY DID MY GRANDSON LIKE THAT THEY EVEN CALLED THE POLICE ON HIM HES WAS ONLY 4 YRS OLD POLICE PUT HANDCUFF ON HIM 😢😢💔💔💔💔
The mom did what she had to do to keep her child safe. If it does continue with other kids the school should be closed down not investigated.
I had my daughter not only physically handled badly but mentally and emotionally abused by a teacher. Nothing was done about it.
I don’t think the school has safety measures that are acceptable. I mean these children are going there you are handicapped and looking for love and attention and education and they’re not getting it instead they’re getting abuse and that’s not OK and this school should comment on that instead of just sitting out and laying some public excuse.
Horrific!!!
Why did they highlight the black girl first but ONLY spoke to the white mom?
They had a full story on the other child and her mother 2 weeks ago. This story highlights a second case.
Good for this mom! You have to be proactive with your child's welfare and education.
Has a police report been filed?
It's going on in Ohio also. Special ed female teacher kissing male children. They told my friend to send him to a different school. Really?
No child is physically, morally, or emotionally safe in public school regardless of ability--especially children in diapers who cannot communicate. You cannot advocate for a child unless you are physically present 100% of the time.
Poor kiddo.😢😢😢❤❤❤
Good luck finding help
Take this to the extreme!
Whether other options were available or not it's the school districts responsibility to keep children safe!
I think there should be realtime cameras in each of these special classrooms that parents can log onto and see what is actually taking place throughout the day.
honestly people need to help with their kids' special needs. leaving it to others are bad.
Someone needs to go to jail 😡
“We are aware of your concerns and we will be investigating ourselves.”
Straight up im homeschooling
This happened to my niece. But when her daughter had a physical they found out her son had leukemia. He was 4 at the time. He passed at 19.
This is elementary school, where kids are supposed to be watched constantly. Was it the same child doing this to both girls in wheelchairs?
For the school to say that student safety is priority is obviously NOT TRUE
