So as the title suggests today's video is all about how I shop fashion online. How I manage to sift through pages and pages of items I'd never wear, and find the clothes I actually would! Then going more in-depth how I then shop all of my favourite fashion brands when I'm on their website, size recommendations by label, who does sales, and who doesn't! It's a jam-packed video full of helpful styling tips and tricks I've learnt along the way which hopefully will help you all too:)
I'm actually in New York with the boys as we speak so apologies for the slightly later start today, I didn't fancy staying up until 1am to upload this video! A little about Fashion and Style Edit
I guess I have quite a classic style but with an up to date twist. I love neutral outfits, elegant, timeless pieces and sharing how you can really get the most out of your own wardrobe. Essentially, I just love helping people and fashion is what I know, inside out and with my eyes closed! So if you finish one of my videos feeling a little bit inspired with a few outfit ideas you know will make you feel great, well then that makes me very happy indeed:) Thanks so much for being here.

Good morning everyone, hope you're all well and had a great week:) So today I'm sharing a few practical shopping tips of how I shop fashion online. It was actually a subscriber that gave me the idea for this video after she was having trouble finding what she actually wanted so I thought it might be a helpful video for everyone? As always I'd love to hear all your thoughts or any tips you'd like to share with the other subscribers. Plus I'd love to hear what you think to my new website? I'm so pleased we managed to make it come together with all the features, hopefully you'll find that virtual wish list really handy.
I'm actually in New York right now (hence the later start) but to be honest I'm so jet lagged I could have gone live at 4.30am and felt wide awake!! But having an amazing time being proper tourists with the boys so I can't wait to share that with you all soon. Big hugs everyone, Jess:)

Jess, you can change the search engine default on any browser within the Settings function.
Haha, well that is the best news I've heard all day! I'm so un techy I thought it must be far easier than i thought!:)
Google chrome defaults to google search, you must have changed the settings in the past.
I prefer going to my favorite stores in person.I have looked online but I prefer really checking the item in hand. Besides it helps those who are working in brick & mortar. Supports local economy. But I enjoy your vlogs. Thank you.
This was very helpful. I was never an online shopper until Covid. I tend to shop the brands that have a retail store that are nearby so if I need to return the item, I just head off to their boutiques. This also allows me to view the items that most of the time are not in my petite sizes, so I head back home and order it online if I am interested. Nowadays, my goal is to shop my closet and use the items I already have using your inspiration on how to style clothes. Thanks, Jess.
Shein is evil. I have tried to block them altogether from my settings.
Same.
They sent me 3 dresses all the same and charged me, never again.

I live in a small market town and don’t fit their usual demographic. I therefore do most of my shopping on line. I tend to know the fit of the various brands I go for. Great video!

I’ve recently been sorting my wardrobe for example, stripes with stripes, camel tones etc and it’s made it so much more streamlined and easy to see what I have. Thanks for your video the other week encouraged me to see what I wasn’t wearing. Oh and I have that beautiful scarf now and wow it’s so snuggly!! Love it!!

Love your styling ideas. Coming to London in May and have only one day to shop. Where would you suggest is a nice area to stay and walk to shopping? Coming from San Diego!
@dlholmesdesign As it's 10th April today! you probably have your London accom booked now. > Re shopping, it depends on whether you're looking at designer UK brands (like Burberry, Alice Temperley) or quality mid-range brands that Jess listed here (eg Me & Em, Arket, Cos, Reiss). Of course, being close to their famous department stores (Marks and Spencer, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods) may be your choice. Have a wonderful trip.

Hi Jess, I’m considering buying the gas park cardigan. Would you say it is good quality? What is the sizing like for this item? Does it wash well and will I have it for a long time in my wardrobe?
Love the wish list option on your page. Also if Chrome keeps defaulting to yahoo even though you've changed it in settings it might be worth doing a check for a virus. Chrome browser is a Google product so if yahoo is taking over that might be due to an extension hijacking it or malware.
Away that’s good to know thanks hun. It drives me potty I must admit so I end up flitting between safari to google and chrome for all the extensions I use! Think you all might have sorted me out with this one thank goodness🙌🏻

@sbYogini You may have solved your 'dark camel blazer' dilemma already 😊 If not, did you try any Canadian retailers? Or, any of the recycle online retailers. Jess mentioned Vestiare Collective here. You'd know Poshmark, and the other high end sites whose names I've forgotten!
This is great, thanks for the fabric content info. It’s a big deal! Have you shopped at Quince at all? Just curious on your thoughts. I have the hardest time with shoes! What a ridiculous things to try to buy online but we don’t have enough stores locally that carry good leather and I want cushioned comfortable mid to high heels ❤ if anyone has a brand they like pipe in. When I search the same brands always come up

I'm pretty sure they ship worldwide and I've bought 3 pairs from them online now and they're brilliant. Quite classic in design and really lovely quality, worth the spend:)

Dont think shein is any good for us woman at a certain age. Dont think its ever somewhere I've ever shopped. Love vintages though so i like going into store mainly charity stores they have some great brands available
better to search via brands you already know; IE MAssimo Dutti, etc
But I think that’s often how we miss those up and coming brands or the small independents. There’s so many lovely brands popping up all the time with beautiful collections and it’s easy to miss if they don’t have the marketing spend.
