I knew that Steve Jobs was coming to Palo Alto when I saw a PR friend of mine (Hi, Kirstin!) who's usually there when he is! How lucky though as he could have gone to Valley Fair in Cupertino (where Woz was waiting in line overnight!) or San Francisco. But I guessed that leaving a few blocks from downtown Palo Alto, Jobs would pop inside and feel this crazy atmosphere for himself ;-)

I LOVE him! Just to think of how much easier he's made all our lives. Facebook wouldn't be Facebook without him. Social media in general wouldn't be as big and relevant as it is in Todays world. We don't have to carry a million CD's with us or in the car or anymore, getting them lost, stolen, scratched and what not.
I love him...but his does gone forever...but his very genius man...all your creation has still forever and ever...Thanks steve..

The thing I like Steve jobs the most is his laid-back down to earth character. Look even at his clothes.. Totally cool and doesn't care about the style..
actually he cared immensely for style, it was just a minimalist style. When he could no longer find his trademark Issey Miyake black turtlenecks as they were no longer being made, he went direct to the designer to have them made specifically for him.

I don't know, my friend has an ipad 3 and it gets hot all the time, I think I'm going to try the nexus 10, it has nice specs, 1.7Ghz, higher res, dual speakers, bigger screen, lighter, and thinner, but I'm not a big fan of design.

@hyylo fair enough, I haven't ben to dubai, I live in the uk so personally i haven't seen any doctors or nurses use an ipad in the hospital. they use the hospitals computer system
Well, according to a study made, 67% of people access Facebook through a mobile/portable device, and I can see that number increasingly growing in the next 5-10 years. Apple most definitely takes credit for making the hottest mobil/portable devices. Numbers don't lie. There's a reason people prefer the iPOD over any other mp3 player. There's a reason people prefer the iPAD over any other tablet. Apples devices are just...BETTER. And for that reason alone, Steve Jobs gets credit from me.

have you been to dubai? i went there 2 years ago and when i had to see the doctor he had all my details on a ipad.
they even use ipads in hotels in dubai. lol

@hyylo I like the NHS though it keeps having buget cuts by th government, that is why it isn't as good as it could be. its better than having to pay like in private hospitals.
btw i don't know about london hospitals but either way i do have to wait ike 3-4 hours in A&E before i get seen :/

ell the ipad 4 is good, but nexus 10 has better specs and Surface Pro is like a laptop you can run pc games, apps from Microsoft Store and from Android with Blue Stacks.

Holy crap, is that Andy Hertzfeld there with him?? I'm sure Jobs is well aware that he's become a cultural iCon for the tech world, but still... it has to be pretty darn uncomfortable to walk into a store to see how things are doing and have a hundred camcorders shoved in your face.

I once thought the NHS was a good thing but it is not helping the public.
When you buy food you can choose to go to Tesco or Asda or a local shop.
When you buy a car, TV, computer or mobile you can choose freely where to buy it and how much to pay.
Why are we forced to pay tax to the NHS union? Why not allow people to save money and choose who to receive treatment from?
