I saw a different light strip that plugs into the 12v socket at the rear of the car. It had a light sensor and a manual on/off switch in case you do not want the bright light on. This seems like a better option than having to attach a magnet.
@@jochang9012 Received the kit last week, no magnet parts included and the light strip has no built up area near the harness end. I have reached out no fewer than 5 times over the last week asking I have a non magnet version or if its old product. No answer's yet... beware
I just ordered this but I'm unsure if I want this color temperature.
Why dont you connect it to trunk light circuit? That magnet thing is ghetto option :D

It's not better because the 12v socket is used, wires are dangling, and you generally want the lights on anyways when you open it.
Please please tell me you're making this for the X..?
Cool
Received my kit today and it has no magnet… has it been updated and the magnet is no longer needed?
How did you go sorting this out? I'm thinking about buying it.
@@James-lw3giThey refunded my money. I’m still looking at a different provider… haven’t found one that I like yet.
I spoke to hanshow and stated that the magent doesnt come with the kit.
Did the magnet come with your kit or did you buy it separately?
the older model doesn't have the magnet, but the current model on hansshow is included in the box
