My favorite 1 v 1 battle was during a conquest on Sinai. I was defending objective G (the one that's miles away from the other objectives) as cavalry when I noticed a teammate struggling with an enemy cavalry. After the teammate died, I tried to slash the fucker with my sword (I hate the rifle), and he tried to do the same thing. It ended up becoming a jousting match, charging at each other, missing, turning around, repeat. This went on for a minute, then it ended as a draw. When we met each other mid-joust, we slashed each other at the exact same time. I killed him, he killed me, it was awesome.

also will you do a guide to leveling up the assault class cause I really want to get the hellriegel (that is possibly not the correct spelling) an I grinded for about 5 hour an ranked up the class about 3 times it would help alot
Great tips for new players but To be an experienced player, you shouldn't always use automatic weapons (or the assault class). You should ease your way into using the medic class and the scout class in medium to close range.

Very good advice for a BF n00b like myself. Coming from the COD series, I'm still adjusting with these gun battles. This was real helpful advice for someone like myself who enjoys hip firing. Keep posting these for n00bs like myself.
Hip fire ftw :) I have a few vids coming out, such as ""how to rank up faster", "how to kill cavalry easy", "does bayonet affect speed/accuracy?" and a few videos about specific and unique classes that are fun.
Perhaps even more gratifying is taking out an entire squad... even after they begin respawning back into the fray. Purging a good squad is difficult, yet exhilarating.
m10 slug medium range is a beast. Can definitely OS someone if headshot, sometimes even if you aim for center of mass. It's also a 2 to 3 shot kill at long distances (we're talking even 100m if not more there if you're aiming at a immobile scout and know how to lead your shots... Chances are he won't even understand that an assault can kill him from that far with a shotty). Bonus point: hip accuracy is great with that gun and is a guaranteed 1 shot kill in CQC (and you have 5 slugs... so theoratically you can wipe a whole squad with it if every shot connects in CQC).
PLEASE for the love of GOD, don't encourage people to use gas grenades. Everyone and their mother uses them , they are in abundance on the battlefield...so annoying!!!!!!
Another tip I really should have covered is, if you prefer storm weapons (better aimed accuracy), then aim round corners, i.e get your aim up before or while moving round the corner, rather than run round one then aim if there is an enemy. Aiming round every corner is an effective (and realistic) tactic.
Dude this helped me immensely! I went from barely getting any kills to top of the ladder within half a dozen games. Getting mostly positive kds now. you legend!

Thanks for this upload! With the gas mask on, throwing a gas grenade at the target and then running at them with the Automatico proved effective. Combination for Assault class worked very well helping me to kill about 7 people in quick succession at one point, but I did perhaps get lucky in not getting killed with the reloads.
gas grenades can be annoying maybe should be limited to 1 per person but they are really useful to block entrances to objectives decoying tthe direction youre coming from and helping you retreat so if they capped the ammount of gas i think it will balance it
Depends on what part of the map is around the corner, an open field? Then don't run out. But using the map to know where there might be one or two enemies is a good time to surprise someone round a corner, it can give you a slight timing advantage. Point is you might not know 100% whats around the corner, but you can use the minimap/positioning/sound to have a good guess.
Liquid Blitz accuracy and recoil have been significantly improved. The automatico will still beat it if both players are equally competent and under 20m away from each other but the MP18 is actually usable at medium range.
It depends on the map and your expected engagement range. If there isn't a lot of cover, you're far better off using something with a bit more range and a bit less spammy. If you're expecting nothing but close quarters, you're almost better off with a shotgun, in my opinion.
Try out Support's trench LMGs, both gain accuracy if you keep shooting and they have relatively similar TTKs to the MP18. You also have a stronger caliber for ranged use and the weapons are very good at suppression while on the move. But as Support, you get unlimited gas and ammo and better anti-infantry gadgets as well. Something to consider when you use Support again.
Aye. Support is still my most played class, usually switch between Benet-Mercie storm and BAR storm, I will follow my own advice and play around with the trench versions too. Support has been my favourite just for the infinite grenades hehe.

I think I'll switch to trench with gas grenades vs frag. I am really loving the graphics dice did to make this game look awesome! Imo, it is better to find that one weapon that you are comfortable with the spray pattern with and get consistent with that. Learning how to control to aim at the chest almost always will win you the fight since recoil, assuming centered, will bring your shots to the head. hip fire will almost always have a few shots that do less damage due to limb shots instead of upper torso and headshots. another thing I might add is that guns are able to fire mid aim so imo, your point on faster engagement isnt true,
I'm fairly good at this game and I highly recommend the Automatico Storm. Especially so if you're going in as an Assault and plan on pure CQC. It's beastly up close. Definitely not as good as the MP 18 or Hellriegal at medium range (Hellriegal is by far the best assault weapon for mid-range), but second to none up close. Of course the Model 10's are godly up close, but if you miss your first shot against someone using an Automatico, and if you're opponent is even kinda decent, you're going be dead before you can fire that second shot.

I get a ton of points on BF1 helping the squad and capturing flags (haven't been playing often though, mostly about once or twice a week, just rank 22, win rate 50%) but I get jack shit in kills and get killed quite a lot. I've been trying to adjust my gameplay recently to try and get a more acceptable K/D score (got a shit average of 0.5) but will try to get it up by being more aggressive using these tips.
For most people, you want to find the balance between good KDR and going for the objectives. If you just charge for the objectives you will get killed alot. WIth the right class, and high skill you can get good KDR whilst always going for objective but that takes a lot of play and experience.
Thank you for the informational. I'm definitely going to give trench guns another shot because of this video. However, from my experience they're garbage. For me at least, they seem to only outperform when I get the drop on the other person, whereas I can regularly go on 10+ kill streaks with less quick guns.
Reduce your mouse sensitivity. You are jerking around every time you shoot at someone. Only weapon that helps with hipfire is Lasermatico. Everything else but shotguns - aim down, shoot his head. Oh and, you should never get those "1v1" situations without knowing beforehand, just use good headset and listen.

Automatico is so overpowered, I see no reason to use any other SMG, until maybe I end up one day getting the Hellsrieg. It's stupid such a fast firing gun have so little and non-existant recoil that's super easy to control.
I just unequip the bayonet. It reduces the ADS time too, and I rarely ever use it.
Sky Flier I always use bayonets, they're so satisfying. They're quite useful imo

Ignore operations while your grinding to 10. I did conquest or quick turn capture the flag. Same with medic.

When choosing a melee weapon, look at the little icons in the bottom left, it will show if the weapon can cut wire/wood/damage vehicles :)

Since the latest patch, the MP 18 is a much more viable weapon than the automatico.

a10 slug has a sick hipfire accuracy too. Its not as easy to use as the automatico but you can do some ravage with it.
I might try it, never actually used the slug version.

If "you're good" you kill the players way before he's to close to you and if you know what's around you just slide or wait for him or flank

Only weapon that helps with hipfire is Lasermatico. Everything else but shotguns - aim down, shoot his head.
Oh and, you should never get those "1v1" situations without knowing beforehand, just use good headset and listen.

Automatico is so overpowered, I see no reason to use any other SMG, until maybe I end up one day getting the Hellsrieg. It's stupid such a fast firing gun have so little and non-existant recoil that's super easy to control.

Thank god DICE are reducing gas grenade capacity and nerfing them in general. Appeasing the scrubs is never a good design choice.
