- Bulgarian Split Squat Quick Set up!
.
Most people struggle to find their balance and foot position so here’s a quick and easy way to adjust!
.
You want you laces to be on the bench or chair behind you. Then you can sit back into it, extend that leading leg and come out of it for your distance from the bench.
.
To target your glutes lean forward with your weight in your leading leg and think of pushing through your heel and the outside of your foot as you come up!

Thanks! now I won't look like a total idiot 👍
You got this!
The acting is just so good at the beginning
Does she think everyone's leg can bend like that? 😬
😂😂 my thoughts as well. this way only works for her and maybe a handful of others her height with her mobility.
just go to squat university’s channel, a more thorough explanation on how to do these.
Mine wouldn’t. Lol!
You can still extend your leg without putting your foot behind you..I extend my leg, come up THEN place my foot(laces) on the bench..
needed this 😭 thank you!
Glad it could help!
Aren’t u too far off from the bench???
This is WRONG, you’re really going to hurt your knees and put way more tension on the quads than the glutes. You’re too far away from the bench. You should be standing straight up, closer to the bench, and able to reach your back leg onto the bench. So when you go down, it’s like you’re trying to sit on the bench but your body is tilted forward with a neutral spine. You’re way too far away to even be close to sitting on that bench
Have you guys ever felt dizzy as hell from.this?
YEP at first!
Omg I’m so glad I found this. Thank you! I felt so silly yesterday at the gym. I will be trying this tomorrow.
I thought my knee was supposed to touch the floor
Best explanation so far! Thank you.
Is it normal to feel it in the opposite quad (the one with the rested foot)?
Yes that’s the leg you’re working! Foot on bench is just for balance x
@tonihunter2110 Maybe alittle bit in the glute but the front leg should feel most of it!
I did this, but I only felt it on my thighs!! help mee😭 i dont feel my glutes at alllll
you should clench your glutes (ass) basically 😭 sounds strange but when you’re applying the pressure to that area with the “clenching” you’re targeting that area :)
Never wear running shoes they are not stability gym trainers
Thanks!! It helps a lot
Omg I will use this thank you 😂
I hv issue with my left knee ..i can only do that for 2 sets ( 30secs each)....is there any safe exercises that exactly have the same results...

Best technique so far, this really helped!
It helps, but killing 😭
Thank you for the demonstration. 😅
I asked my coworker (football player) how to build cake. He gets on the ground at work and begins demonstrating glute bridges, gets up, and asks if his back is dirty. Bless that man’s heart. Thanks for the video. I just did these with dumbbells and followed your instruction to a T and it hits!
Yaaaaa I can’t do that :/
Does it matter how tall the bench is?
The way my foot rotates still hurts :(
Tadahhhh!!!
Awesome. Thank you
Woot woot! Happy to help
Am I meant to also feel it in my resting leg?
Yeah, you could also be feeling it a bit in your other leg, specifically the quad, but as long as the majority of the weight is on your front leg, you're good
Ahhh this is killing 😂
Never struggled, never done it. Corretly
