He is a superb instructor because he has a true passion and understands the physics of it very well and communicates these concepts for the simpletons !!!
One of the sweeps I use more often here in Brazil. However that variation with both of his knees touching the ground feels safer to me. Great technique!
The Grappling Academy well, if my plans about going to Australia come true I will definitely pay you guys a visit. I can tell by far that you are teaching those guys the finest of BJJ. Congrats for all your commitment.
On the elbow to thigh open: I too was the guy of guy that would never open in my life, then one day a partner of mine sunk his elbow so deep into the flesh that i got an hematoma the size of coconut inside on my inner thigh and could not train for 3 weeks.
Hey I tried doing this and it didn't work my partner rolled my leg that was sticking up underneath where his arm was and he layed back and put me in a knee bar. Did I not do it fast enough or not the right technique?
this was a really good tutorial. Had a lot of useful details in it, and explained everything really well. Only complaint is the audio lol. I almost clicked away because of it, but I'm glad I didn't. And you kind of forget about the audio after listening for a bit anyway.

Nicely stated: anatomy, physiology, & physics...
Love the pendulum sweep. Great tip on how to bait him into raising the leg you want. Thanks Coach!

More reps……..this is a basic commonly used technique even at high levels. If anything you may use it to attack the leg bar on him from underneath!
