Time restricted does not necessarily restrict calories, it depends what you eat during the consumption window. Arguments for it include the restriction of the time that insulin is active and promotion of autophagy.
Seems like there are lots of experts who say eat more protein to lose weight and build muscle, and lots of other ones who say less protein is key to living longer.
@@Sandrae7560 It depends on how active you are , but yes , it's a bad thing. Muscles need protein to repair and grow , we can round it up to about 90-120 grams per day , depending on your weight , level of activity and sex.
@@laza6141 Does this means daily intake, if that’s needed, then the 24hr, 36hrs, 72hrs, OMAD way of eating interferes with one’s daily intake. From this, my takeaway is I need to just stick with IF instead (I still want to continue w/fasting) and at that rate, my 18/6 will still give me the opportunity to have my daily protein.. hmm..
This interview was so horrible..... How can two people speak so many words and say nothing in the end.....???? After your guest and you went on and on I still have no idea what steps can be taken to improve my health through exercise. He was so so much in his head, just to hear himself talk, thinking he was so smart. He talked about it, from every direction and never said what everyone was waiting for him to say. You need to exercise in this way and this how you do it.... It was torture to listen thinking he may finally get to the point and never, never does. You didn't help at all....
You continue to suggest increased protein consumption. People need to strength train with an intensity that recruits fast twitch fiber. More protein will do nothing to prevent sarcopenia. If people train and take in sufficient protein which means 1g per kg of weight is sufficient. Clarence Bass has proven this for decades.
Dr.Petet Attia is like a massive rail engine zooming in his track doing his work( transporting passengers and goods) but has utter disregard for other vehicles. The time restriction definitely is something that is beneficial coz of circadian rhythm and again as a result of humans accustoming to day-night times for million of years. Equating diet restriction to time restriction is not appealing to anyone who does IF or who adheres to body clock.
Katie, hi - DOWNVOTED and unlistenable for me due to the irritating incessant background music. You surely understand that music is a very personal choice and will turn off many people. WHY DO YOU DO THAT ??? Then there's all the people who are hearing impaired or need to stay aware of the environment around them. Yes many creators swamp their vids in incessant "background" music - that doesnt mean its a good idea! ----
I could do without the "background" music. For future reference
It's annoying and usually used by posters who steal other people's work.
I will now know not to waste my time listening to your discussions!
Why

"Over nourished?" No! Over FED!
Nourishment is eating... 😏
Undernourished but overfed! People are eating a lot but not getting the critical nutrients needed to be healthy.
do you have the rights to use Peter's content as your own..?
Thank you

No, more protein, esp. in senior yrs.
@@robynhope219 More protein means less sarcopenia but more cancer. Take your pick.

Does it include white rice and potatoes?
Intermittent Fasting, One Meal a Day / OMAD
Alternate day fasting as well..
@@Sandrae7560 yeah but that brings the new problem , regular protein intake.
@@laza6141 But with ADF one will be getting protein albeit every other day. Is that a bad think? Please let me know what you think.. it’s appreciated.

I hope you are not serius. Obviously this is just cut and paste video. Go search Peter Attia. His video will be 1 hour and above

@@jjr8220what to eat for sarcopenica to improve it??
He has a LOT of information...look around!
It will never change eat less exercise more balance diet fast when you can. Its hard to do so people think it doesnt work.
Imo, the best diet is a balanced diet...eat from all food groups, but skip suger.
Not once did you mention fiber, a fatal flaw in your discussion.

Peter eats 8 eggs, toast w butter, etc...for breakfast. Who would eat 8 eggs a day???
You mean an entirely Krispy Kreme diet won’t improve longevity???
It’s training and sufficient protein. Not large amounts of protein. That will do nothing to prevent sarcopenia.
Way too heavy on the atheist view. Use facts or how am I suppose to take the rest seriously
