The “weaker” breath styles aren’t necessarily weaker or worse their just more specialised and more adjusted to match the individual person
as an example to this iguros body is fragile but it can be honed to have a great sword skills thtas exactly the main cast of of his breath
you just basically repeated what’s said in the vid
I would say, the only breathing style that can be trully call weaker is the insect. This is mainly due to the fact that overall this style loses effectiveness when facing stronger demons that can resist poison, somthing that the other breathing styles are nowhere near as vulnerable to. I know that strong enougth demons can resist decapitations, but one I beleive this is harder to pull off than poison resistence. Plus bright red blades can counter that and this technic can be done by anyone under the right conditions, while it is more difficult to come up with better poison in a battle.

I think a derivative of the Stone Breathing might potentially be Sand Breathing, which might focus on more light and flexible defenses, and barrage of offensive attacks that might be granular but overwhelming. And the weapon might dual-chained daggers like Kungfu Panda 3's Kai weapon. Just a theory!
Another derivative could be mud breathing which focuses on slowing the enemy and making them lose balance with large waves of heavy mud.

For any dragon related forms
I think the more you mastered your form the more ”realistic” the dragon looks
For instance you can compare tanjirou’s use of water breathing’s 10th form and giyu’s
Now rengoku was said to have reached the utmost of his capacity as a human however I think that, due to it being it’s true last form, rengoku didn’t actually master at 100% his esoteric art
Another thing pointing me towards this theory is serpent breathing, the more we advance through the last stand (from ubuyashiki’s sacrifice to the very end) we can see that serpent breathing’s appearence get more and more ”realistic and menacing” even putting aside the red appearence which is I think due to the burning red sword.
It also depends on their overall strength and sometimes it can be driven by an intense emotional outbreak
perhaps but judging by some forms of breath styles like wind there is no form that can take the dragon shape but if there was it would go right on the first form and stone there is no way to make a dragon shape

I think instead of dragon meaning that they reached another level like AnimeUproar says I think it means that they reached the heigh of their strength since just like how a good number of breaths have dragons it is always talked about how humans age with the dragon representing, they have reached the peak of their strength
Wind breathing seems to be extremely devastating. Granted it all comes down to the one using it but I have noticed that the wind hashira can deliver some seriously crazy devastation so I assume wind breathing is based on quick and destructive techniques meant to tear enemies up within a short time.
I mean sanemi is the second strongest hashira so wind breathing goes well with him

@@brucewayne4537 The hashira rankings you see are based on feats, and since we never got to see rengoku and tengen train in the hashira training, as well as get their demon slayer mark, we can't get more feats out of them that can put em higher in the ranking.
@@brucewayne4537 rengoku is not stronger than giyu stop saying this delusional thing, rengoku died when akaza was playing with him, akaza never got serious, akaza went serious against giyu. giyu also has feats agaisnt dkt which noone else has and that can put him above any hashira bc we know that a fight against an upper moon can boost ur stats as if you trained for couple of years. so rengoku is on the weaker side, i would say hes 7th weakest being infront of shinobu and tengen.
The fact that Kokushibo had to get jump by the strongest Hashiras is a testament to his talent, ability and strength

@@Rudyrats Basically the only Demon slayers that can defeat Akaza and up by themselves would be Yoriichi. However, given that Muichiro and Tanjiro if given time couldve fully learned and Mastered sun breathing and their marks STW red blades etc, they could’ve been around Yoriichi’s power when they reached adulthood. We just never got to see them older.

I don't think they are a symbolism of their attacks because in the entertainment district the sun breathing that tanjuro uses actually burns away stuff soooo it might be more supernatural than symbolism

I feel that gyomei created the stone breathing due to the fact that as a kid he had to be incredibly strong to protect himself and others so he created a breath style that dealt with that

I would love to see a Star breathing style that could've branched off of sun or moon breathing to continue the theme. I would imagine some of the forms from the Star breathing style would include constellation styles, starry night sky, and some sort of starlight that would've been fun.

I'm pretty sure in one of the databooks it proved the attacks take the form of the elements, they not physically the elements itself but take the shape and appearance of them and can be seen and felt. Think of it more like their energy
They can not be seen and felt, no one in the series points that there are actual elements on the battle field, they only say things like "his slashes are flowing like a river", but they don t say that there is actually water there

@@davidb1892 Some things cannot be seen or felt but some can definitely be seen and felt for example in the mugen train arc when rengoku kills the first demon in the train you can see the "below the neck" part of the body get burnt up

I interpret the elemental visages as the form the Sunlight in the Nichirin Blades take when the user unleashes a breath attack.
Sun breathing is the strongest no doubt but it a pain in the ass to learn and use looking back on the last episode of the anime Tanjiro could barely use one form of a time and when he tried to do more it run the risk for him having a heart attack and a fever really show you got be a different type a beast like Yorrichi to master it.

All breathing styles except including sun breathing are equal. Like actual martial arts it just depends on the user behind the technique and how they use it. Some breath styles are made to specifically fit the user’s abilities in order to allow them to use their full potential (love, mist, serpent, sound, etc.). Many people say sun breathing is the strongest solely because it’s the original but that doesn’t make sense, that’s like saying the first gun is better that current ones. Sun breathing is like any other breath style, it’s the slayer’s skill or preference that matters. Way before any breath styles were created yoriichi was already overpowered being able to beat a master swordsman as a child. Tanjiro during the daki fight stated that water breathing didn’t really suit his body that well but sun breathing did, mitsuri created love breathing from flame in order to better use her flexibility and tengen uses sound breathing in order to exploit his enhanced hearing and shinobi capabilities. The only reason I would say sun breathing is strongest is possibly because it naturally gives you the demon slayer mark but other people who don’t use sun breath have unlocked the mark to. Sun breathing in my opinion is just the most balanced meaning it has no weaknesses or openings but doesn’t match certain single qualities of other styles, for example it doesn’t have the raw power behind stone and sound breathing (you can tell that just by the different weapons used) or doesn’t share as much flexibility as the love and beast breathing techniques, not as fast as certain thunder breathing techniques or as adaptive as some water techniques.
Yeah honestly the biggest mistake of DS was calling sun breathing the strongest. Like I feel it would have been special enough to just be the first and to be the one Tanjiro masters because of his father

Man if I was a demon slayer I would create my own style called destruction breathing and it will be based off sun breathing it will have the power to destroy demons and others like the sun
it makes so much sense that these forms have draconic elements, because they all mimic the wavy forms and movements of dragons, Water being the typical elements of dragons, then also fire breathing being a common ability, and also dragons often have association with storms (which are generally considered thunder and rain more than wind)
I feel like breath styles arent actually visible to humans but yet they still exist. For example instead of being in a physical plain they are from a spiritual plain. Which is why specific breath styles match specific people because it doesnt match their “spiritual energy”. This can explain why we see the attack because during a fight the demons are actually seeing the attack itself since they live on the door to life and death as a demon. So they see the living and spiritual plain. Also they clearly interact with the real world. A great example is Zenitzu using first form. The thunder around him brings the ground itself up and causes electricity in the air. Meaning that it really is there and affecting everything so maybe they cant “see” it but feel it. Unlike blood demon art that allows them to bring the spiritual plain into the physical and reality because they live in both worlds. Does this make sense? 😭

@@kenny-ye9mi it does not add a instant red blade effect, shinobu has poison in her sword ehich she recharges by sheeting her blade, thunder breathing focuses on putting all ur strenght in ur legs(it is supernatural but it doesn t make lightning) and tanjiro moves yahaba s arrows by swinging againtst it harder than the arrow
Does zenitsu have the fastest breathing techniques that makes him the fastest demon slayer? I’ve been doing some research on it but never really found a solid answer.
Zenitsu is certainly fast but not the fastest demon slayer in history. Muzan could still notice Zenitsu but he got blitzed by Yoriichi
He MAY have been the fastest demon slayer alive during his timeline, but overall yoriichi was the fastest. I think zenitsu is faster than shinobu but idk.

I feel as if his style would allow him to be. For instance he could never be the strongest physically because thunder breathing isn’t that kind of style in the first place. But if he maxed out he could be the fastest for sure. Slower than tanjiro and yoriichi because plot. If equalized he’d definitely be faster than the pillars he’d literally have to be... he’s thunder. Definitely slower than moon breathing too demon art or not.

Wanted to mention: yes, breathe styles do generate their effect, no, tanjiro doesn’t create water that gets the surrounding wet, but it does create the effects, hence why rengokus attacks actually burn, etc. the manga author says it doesn’t generate the element, not the effect, and further added they INITIALLY didn’t intend for the effects to be real, which implies (and is shown) to actually be changed later.
To clarify: it’s mentioned by the author in a special page that water users don’t create water attacks, but everyone else sees it and actually can feel it. It’s essentially a blood demon art equivalent, but the effects themselves are there, like tanjiros water vortex, whirlwind to deflect certain attacks, etc.

It doesn’t create literal water, but it created a visual you can interact with and the effects. Hence why it’s quite literally in the exact same animation as blood demon arts, which is blatantly stated to be magic.

Tengen ozouis breath technique is called muscle symphony. He memorizes the muscle movements so that he can strike those stop points when an enemy is between strikes.
I would love to see a combination of water and thunder breathing, I feel like they could make some visually stunning moves with that and the whole water conducts electricity thing could be really dope in my opinion.
remember that the effects don’t actually happen only blood demon techniques have the real effects so it would have to be a demon technique

I disagree with the idea that just because a breathing style is further removed from sun breathing then it is weaker. Yes, insect breathing would be the weakest on my list too but not solely because it is the furthest removed. for example, you could create a breath style that suits your personal tendencies and is sixth level removed but still be stronger than a closer derivative to sun breathing. basically this list is a family tree for the styles, not a power ranking.
It’s not a power ranking but it is an offspring of a breathing that’s weaker than sun all the off shoots are easily the weakest

What really matters in a breathing technique is the user's ability to use it.
Example: current anime Tanjiro Hinokami Kagura vs Shinobu's Insect Breathing, by the logic of a stronger breathing, Tanjiro should curble stomp her, but it's impossible to happen.
Gravity breathing (from stone breathing) or shadow breathing (from moon breathing) maybe even hypnotic breathing (from mist breathing or wind breathing) would have been amazing to see in the story
The "oh nice demon art manifested as an object it would truly be a shame in someone stole it" breathing
Actually gravity breathing would fit more with being a derivative of moon breathing.

I made Something called "Shadow Breathing" because i was just obsessed and bored lol. Its a breathing style that mimics shadow movements or very fast cuts/slashes not visible to normal human eyes. And Also focuses on long range combat.

I made a dragon breathing it mimics movements of the Chinese dragon with a lava like aura around it the last form summons a fake dragon around the user and they dash at the enemy it also sharpens eyesight as you have to see through the lava stuff it’s derived from sun

I made explosive breathing consisting of 11 forms that I go all memorized and the style mimics the power and coverage that explosions and be and is imagined that the effects of the user is orange and gray zagged lines except on the last one which is kakai no kami where a dragon made from smoke and explosions forms to follow the user
But sometimes people in the series are noting that they see the elements of the breathing technique or the elements do attacks on their own confirming that they indeed manifest sometimes.

I wish we saw some ice/snow breathing. I think it would be really cool to see it in action, like having opponents be frozen in battle
But wouldn't the enemy literally freeze not make sense cuz it's just a breath style and not really 'there' and is made for the audience
@@yaboyjackiechan1483 yeah but like all the styles it wouldn’t actually be ice but it could be themed around it. The style could be based around dodging and having enemy attacks ‘slide’ off. Could also have some kind of thermal vision and body temperature control.

It is implied that the reason Flame Breathing (炎ほのおの呼こ吸きゅう Honō no kokyū?) should never be referred to as Fire Breathing (火ひの呼こ吸きゅう Hi no kokyū?) is because its pronunciation is exactly the same as Sun Breathing (日ひの呼こ吸きゅう Hi no kokyū?).

Out of the 14 breath styles most people use, none of them are actually better or worse than each other. Moon and Sun styles don’t count in this because they are obviously better but there are few users and are the most powerful. All breath styles are equal it’s the demon slayer who makes that style good or powerful not the style itself.

Since moon breathing came from sun breathing, it would technically still be from sun breathing but with extra steps.
Fun fact: Most water would without the heat from the sun, and the water cycle happens mainly because of the sun.
I think a cool adaption to flame breathing could have been light breathing, giving the wielder the ability change the perception of them or their foe

curios facts, sometimes some kind of attacks actually generate elements, even if what we see is just a dramatic effect. Engen actually hits so fast that it sounds like a thunder, rengoku hit with so hard that the friction generates heat and a little bit of fire.
Demon Slayer is so good, I’ve got ahead of the anime in the Manga now, I much prefer reading the Manga before I see the anime, rather than the other way around.

Not my opinion but I kinda agree with it, some say that at the end of the series, Mitsuri surpasses Rengoku. Maybe because she has a demon slayer mark and excel in strength, speed and attack.
I would say Rengoku is stronger than Giyuu even with the demon slayer mark
reason being when Rengoku was fighting Akaza.he was fighting plus protecting everyone and he still managed to do that good against Akaza where Giyuu was getting help from Tanjiro plus he had a demon slayer mark and they were both getting wrecked by Akaza
Plus Akaza was begging Rengoku to be a demon because of his overwhelming strength and he wasn't asking that from Giyuu
and remember Akaza can tell how strong u are just from a glance at you
i would still put rengoku above giyu. rengoku performs beter against akaza without a demonslayer mark or a super more powerful tanjiro helping.

Rengoku couldn’t even counter Akaza’s destructive death as he got a number of serious injuries whereas giyu countered it with no difficulty. And giyu was able to survive Akaza’s strongest move
Giyu is stronger than Muichiro. Base giyu was able to keep up with base sanemi during their spar but the same can’t be said for Muichiro as base sanemi is easily stronger than marked Muichiro so by feats base giyu is stronger than marked Muichiro. Even with the see through world I would still put marked giyu above STW Muichiro as the STW doesn’t amp physical abilities only prediction and reaction is increased so base giyu is still physically stronger than STW Muichiro. And we saw during the final fight that giyu was able to react along side gyomei and sanemi to save mitsuri.
I would put him 3rd with iguro (iguro did so well because he wasn’t tired like everyone else).

I feel the reason rengokus dad see every other breath style as inferior to sun is due to the fact he probably saw flame as the strongest breath and when he realized it wasn't he automatically stated in his mind that if flame isn't stronger than sun then no other breath style is stronger than sun
Which is true. The manga officiant stated it was the strongest breath form. Yoriichi tried to teach sun breathing to the demon slayers of his time but they couldn't learn it because it was too difficult.

We all know that muichiro is a prodigy given the fact that he is a descendant of kokushibo, I mean he also have the bloodline of yuruichi so my "what if's" is what if tanjiro actually teaches muichiro the sun breathing? 😅

Just created my own Blood Demon Art...
Blood Rain: Absolute Defense: with a sample of someone elses blood, the user can create a sword that can be used to counter his oppents every move. The user can use this sword telepathically and use it without actually touching it. Not only that but if the user's opponent attempts to block or destroy the sword or attack the user, the sword will attack the apponent as if it is being wielder by the acrually user and during any engagement the user mentally gains swordsmanship experience from the swords.
NOTE:
-only 6 swird can be made at once, although a steady supply of human flesh can be used to bypass this limit.
-while this Blood Demon Art is in use, the user cannot go on the offensive, no mater how many swords are being used at once, but the swords can. However, if the users body is being pushed to the limit, offense by be tacken by the user, but only if at least half of the blood swords created are destroyed.
-The blood sword will not work against any other oppenent. The sword will not work against an opponent who does not have kill intent. Lastly, the Blood Swords will dissipate if the Oppentent is not within a 25 feet radius. Likewise, the effectiveness of the swird defends on the "prowess" and concentration of the user. So, if the user looses focus or consciousness, the swords will dissipate back into blood.
-the Blood Swords are as durable as the the body of the user and oppentent combinde, however does not come with the ability to duplicate the oppenents powers, ONLY the user.

In fact the character is actually based of off Muzan's "daughter" who is seen in season one of the anime (who I think is a Human/Demond hybrid. I even made a super Villain team for My Hero Acagemia.

If I were to use a breathing style, I’d use insect breathing. One, because I’m physically weak, but tbh I can be fast if I wanted to 😂. Plus there’s a 99% chance of the target dying due to the wisteria poison instantly, although the one percent will slowly kill the opponent, like what happened to Doma. But still though, there’s no way I’d be able to be strong enough for any other breathing styles lol

@@ryanroswellcacho Wasn’t it said in the manga that Kokushibo couldn’t find proper successors like Yoriichi? I’m pretty sure it was implied that the Sun and the Moon was cut above the rest and was insanely hard to master.
I wouldn't call Inosuke's sword Chippes but Jagged Swords like a saw.
I also think that the attacks in demon slayer are like shockwaves like the ones in MHA. Where like how the demon slayers are so strong that they create shock wave attacks from their sword swings alone but like not to compare to deku and all might who can create insane shock waves it’s just a point of reference. So to make the attacks more prettier they would add in these elemental effects so they don’t all look the same and to add style duh. Though it’s interesting to think like how daki was able to feel a burning pain from tanjiro and how tanjiro can smell thunder in season 1 when zenitsu used his breathing technique in the spider forest. But in this anime they are also all super human. We also see in the mugen train arc where rengoku slashed at akaza and it created this huge shock wave that shot into the forest so maybe that’s what the people in demon slayer see from their perspective instead of the elemental effects.

Even tho yushiro said that kaigaku would’ve beaten zenitsu if it was one year later and kaigaku mastering his technique.... that goes without saying bcz one year later it would be right to think that zenitsu would have more experience and master his as well so I would kinda disagree about the the whole defeat thing but demon art lthunder breathing is stronger than normal thunder breathing for sure.
Here's the thing. Most people upon hearing that say that kaigaku would win but they don't realize that when kaigaku masters his techniques he wouldn't be an upper 6 anymore. He would probably be upper 4.

Hm... It's hard to choose since I didn't see all the breathing styles in action. However, as far as I know now, I'll say it's Flame Breathing Style. 🔥🔥
I think the 3 styles, water, flame, and thunder, are the closest to sun breathing. From what I recall, sun breathing was so graceful (water), fast (thunder), and powerful (flame).
Well the closest is technically Moon breathing as Kokushibo had grace speed (granted the mobility isnt shown much in his fight but his attacks are bloody fast either way) and power.
However id say the 3 styles are close in the sense that in their specialty they do manage to match the sun breathing, but they come short at the rest, while Moon breathing is better overrall, yet just under sun everytime
