I love how this plays with the OE body lines. Pays a lot of respect to different racing trims while still being totally unique. Cool as hell guys 👍
So stoked to see this come to life!!! Ash I remember those 2D 240z we played around with, now to this. Carlos, if you don't come to SEMA i'll fly over and bring you myself. xD
lmao the plan is to have carlos come, everyone shall unite 👌🏽
As a designer, hearing Ash talk about brain fatigue is so good, I need that as a quote for my wall.
do yk what hes using to render the car out?
BANDITOS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!! Wholly sheet, that looks amazing!
SQUIAAAAAAAAAADDDD UUUPPPP!!!!!
Dannnnng, this looks so badass... I can't wait to see the build progress on this thing!!!
Been a fan for a long time. I rarely comment, BUILD IT!!!!! :)
yesssssssssssssssssssssss love hearing any word that comes from either of these 2 mad men and idols😁😁😁😁😁😁❤❤
This is going to be fire
super hot fire 🔥
Should send model to hot wheels to do a matching car
Ash throp has been my idol for ages man so glad you guys are teaming up! sickkk
Very sick! Reminds me of a 1974 Corvette a lot!
35:40 I feel this in my soul 🥲
And I cant believe it took me until now to notice the Brawler inspiration, definitely one of my favorite designs of theirs for sure.
lol same here. the brawler one of my top 5 favorite projects.
This is gonna be my dream car. I also grew up with one and I love the EV aspect too
The most exciting build ever! Carlos, Ash, a 240 and you guys.. Honestly what a dream combo. So inspiring
Wow, this is going to be amazing to watch. Great work team looking forward to following the progress over the next 12 months
Going to be so cool.
Can't wait to see this thing ripping around.
This is exciting
Aaayyyyeeeeee!!!!! Lesshhhhh Get Iiiiiittttttt!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Assembleeeeee the boiiis!!!!
@@StreetBandito you already know✊
This aesthetic is captivating, very forward. Sculpting based on light tests, negative space, follow-through of curvature - so many fascinating design paradigms at play.
I love your process and ability to explore ideas without getting to attached to anything that doesn't push the design forward
Sooooo stoked to see this realized! Love the the 240, this design is so beautiful!! My other favorite design that Ash has done it the Saab 900. Absolutely stunning!!
Glad you like it!
Amazing design! Excited to see y'all work to build it. Good luck!
Incredible
Greet Energy Guys!
yes indeed! great vibes
Epic, I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys make this one come together
Can't wait for this!
Amazing guys
This is the most awesome build concept for this car I've seen!
The one addition IDK if it was discussed, on the rear spoiler following the use of the hole accent from the front playing with the lines and an additional LED would've been sick
Absolutely flawless design and model as usual from them, great stuff guys!
Much appreciated!
Amazing can’t wait to see this build
Hope you enjoy it!
This is gonna be nuts. It would be crazy to have both z's there
OK, you all blow my mind on a regular basis. But this is so next level! I'm excited to continue watching the series.
I see Xavier has coveralls to cover his too-fancy clothes in the shop now, too
Im just saying😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍Can not wait until next episode
haha im glad you are tuned in.
I'm getting Firebird vibes, but definitely old school American muscle. You can totally see Ash's Batmobile working its way into this and I love it!!
I feel like it's a ford gt front end and I love it
yea he definitely worked his magic 🖤
The is a beautiful deisgn cant wait to see it come to life. This is the type of stuff that makes me want to get into 3d printing so 3d designers can have thier vision/designs brought to life more regularly
Man I was just looking at some 280z 2+2’s and was thinking it would be cool to make a wagon hatch like they did with the callaway corvette. Need this rendered asap lol.
Surprise Tuesday drop🎉
Looks amazing but I think the spoiler should be tied into the new body line. Everything else flows so well. That or maybe remove the spoiler off the body all together and integrate it into the defusers. Really amazing work
Nice design,
this is very high level design. super cohesive language given the range (over both time and styles) of inspirations presented. and definitely a nightmare to produce!
Stunning guys …. The hard bit to come now ! Good luck and looking forward to the series !
for sure especially with a time crunch but it is all motivation.
@@StreetBandito I bet ! The payoff for bringing this beauty to life will be plenty !
I have approached multiple artists similar to Ash and Carlos- I honestly believe that the artist HAS to have some kind of interest in the platform. Once I mention the platform I'm working with- nobody wants to take it on. Big props to this group getting together!! 👏
very true, everyone did share a passion for the 240 on this one.
I'm late to the party watching this but it was seriously inspirational to hear these designers talk and really makes me want to learn more about design myself. If Ash, Carlos, or anyone who would know has any recommendations on how to go about this I'd love to hear them
If this is really happening it would be so damn awesome, looks fucking insane
So modern retro design done right, MRD!
I think the finishing touch in the rear of this car would be the new Supra diffuser w the same LED F1 inspired brake light
This car is just stunning. @_@ Looks like a modern updated NASA/SCCA SPEC RACER you would have seen in the 70s and 80s.
I ready to see how Tim made the plugs! Cnc foam?
Looks amazing! I can definitely see some Aston Martin Valkyrie influence in the design. Excited to see how you manufacture some of these panels (guessing you'll be doing some 3d printing; eyeballing and sculpting that out of foam would be a nightmare.)
correct we will have a whole segment on the 3D print process along with making the plug, molds, and carbon fiber.
Awesome, I'll be here for it. Painfully nerdy details, please!@@StreetBandito
That looks sick! 5 months seems quite quick though? How will you build all the panels? By eye, 3d printing or cnc routers?
We are 3D printing the panels, making molds from them, then building them from carbon fiber
lmk if yall make parts of this i want the hatch and front clip for my z
240z Batmobile!
Am I the only person getting batmobile vibes from the render? This thing is bad ass
tell the riddler we have a riddle for him 😂
amazing work!
What is that software at 18:53?
i wish they would do this design with more luxury in the interior. Like some high quality restomod
The only thing I'd change (the design is epic overall, just this one thing) is that I'd change the front fenders to not to go down, but to to straight behind the wheel. But I'm curious, it might be better this way.
I just have some nerd questions that probably nobody could answer but I just want to know how is it possible that you guys took the poly data straight to the 3d printer? Wouldn't that give you so much fitment problems? Also splines for the overall shape of the car are done using CAD or inside C4D? I'm just curious to know how was the process between having the final 3d data and translating that into the real world cause I thought it could only be possible going through CAD modeling and also scanning the car to ensure proper fitment. The project looks amazing, a lot of cyberpunk, dystopian vibes that makes it look awesome, congratulations
This looks like a cool project, I'm now toying with the idea to create this in a 1/24 scale, too bad my 3D modelling skills are not great :))
Go for it!
You should totally do the polestar show car vibe of matte white body with lots of exposed carbon. Maybe some gold or bronze wheels?
Or even white spokes for the wheel faces, with black inner lips. Or flip it black spokes and white lips? 👍🏻🤔
the car will be all exposed carbon with some unique features. we will also have a full video dedicated to the wheel setup and potential turbo fans so make sure to be on the look for that
@@StreetBandito sick, can't wait to see it debut at this year's sema right?
Any clue on the final weight and hp? You've hinted at an all in lighter than stock weight. 😁
I wish any modern
you and me both
Yess.......... that nice
God I wish I could have something like this. I've been annoying my wife about a 280Z EV for over a decade.
You guys talk alot about your Astin Martin inspiration but im seeing ALOT of C3 Corvette... I absolutely love it but I might be bias as my first car is a 74 vette that I've been dreaming about redesigning for years
Please do a 944 TurboR with a silly swap!!!!!!
Another 240?! I am down.
Any update on the 32 FORD ?
it’s still a 32 ford lol
These guys really made the proper Legacy, I find it way more appealing than the Nissan Z project, way more aggressive. I enjoyed this podcast style of video, I could do some work around the house and listen to you guys.
One thing I'd like to ask: Will there be any digital wallpapers of the Legacy project for sale? I'd love to have it as my wallpaper.
Much love, take care guys!
glad you enjoyed, was interested to see how everyone enjoyed it since its a different format of video we've normally put out. ill ask and see if any high res versions will be released.
I appreciate your reply! Thank you very much@@StreetBandito
Taking pre-orders??? I'd be interested in purchasing the exterior panels in carbon fibre or fibre-glass.
What 3d design software is that? Were there any difficulties with exporting to the 3d print files?
I'm curious to this as well.
Cinema 4D
I'm not entirely sure what the legal width is for a car . But a C6 Corvette is probably about a foot wider than a 280Z . So you definitely have some room to work with .
from the looks of everything it feels like it will be on the wide boy side of things lol.
How did Carlos and Ash know each other or how did you know them or pick them for designing?
we all shared the same passion for the 240z and connected from there. guess you can call it destiny lol.
What going to be the power train
check out episode 1 and 2
I think that lowering the roof a bit could be really cool. Like a chop
And lengthen the front.
just semi sad it doesn't have headlights and is a pure track car.. mini copper headlights would actually fit this quite well.. would keep the sharp front while adding a homage to the original lights.
LOOKS TOO GOOD BRO!
ayee thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Looks like a snowplow
Looks like the Dodge Banshee
Looks like the Porsche 935 that porsche is now selling , Ideas carried over
I like everything except for the covered headlights, they make the front end a little plain and bulky in my opinion
Put in a v12
12 tesla motors incoming lol
12 volt? 🤔😬
@@R0biinSundqvist v12 engine with piston and cranckshaft dumb
You guys should have designed the new 400 then it would look a bit more 240Z.
Bruh.
Moist
V8 Nissan titan motor from the pick up truck
Make sure it puts the 400zx to Shame.
will do lol
will do lol
I'm way older than you guys. Use to frequent AJ's Z shop in Savannah Ga. And I absolutely hate Duckbill rear decks. You're letting down this great push forward look with that. Just an old shits opinion.
I’d be so much more excited if you put an actual engine in it, still insanely impressive, I just can’t get behind taking the heart and soul out of classics.
I don't really dig it. It looks more like a C3 that was used to make a batmobile. I'm here more for the journey, not the final product.
Or go vq with 2003 Nissan Sentra spec v trans 6 speed
it's ugly .... let me redesign it ..... i can make it better
