I must be one of the most blessed men on earth. My wife bought me a Sig 1911 C3 (.45) for our anniversary!! What a beautiful gun, what an awesome wife.
I don't usually subscribe, but your videos are so informative; the perfect length full of the right information. Also i love the high quality. I will now be purchasing a Sig Sauer 1911 rail tacpac. Thanks for the awesome videos!
@marksman9939 The Sig is by far my favorite 1911 in my collection. That is until next week when I get a new 1911. It will be a surprise! Thanks for your input!
I have a 5" Ed Brown Special Forces .45 acp that I carry in an Aker shoulder holster and there has been no problem with concealment. The thinness of the 1911 lends itself well to concealed carry. The problem with a full-size 1911 is with the barrel printing on the back of a jacket with a horizontal carry rig. If you go with a 45º canted shoulder holster that is set to ride high there will be no concealment problem. A good quality leather holster with wide shoulder straps will mold itself to your body's contours in time and will become so comfortable that you'll hardly know that you're carrying such a big gun
Truly an amazing work of art you have there. I love the quality of Sig Sauer. A Sig P226 was the very first firearm I ever bought with my own money. I'll give it to my son some day. Outstanding
I have the Sig platinum elite. Absolutely love this pistol. It is now the centerpiece of my collection, and I have some nice guns. Anyone considering one won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the review, very detailed! I have been considering buying this gun and I'm now ready to go for it. I live in California, would you have any special deals?
I just bought a Sig 1911 rail after seeing your review. I will get it next week after the 10 day waiting period here in California. I did notice a new feature in the new sig 1911. It has a flaired ejection port now. I will upload a vid as soon as I can to show this.
Nice review. You did not explain why they now put serrations on the front of the barrel. Is it a .45? what is the barrel milling for, apart from looks? Is it a compact? It looks shorter than the other Colt 1911.
The face behind the voice! You look like a huge buff guy that goes to my gym that I see everyday lol. Keep the videos coming I'm happy to see the channel growing :)
@davenormann I may get a Wilson combat this summer. CONGRATULATIONS on quieting smoking. My Mother just died of lung cancer @ 72. i could not get her to quit...
My 1911 Gold Cup National Match have never failed to extract a cartridge case with its original extractor after thousands of rounds, so I wonder what difference a coil spring, hinged type extractor on the Sig 1911 do better.
I have the 5" Stainless Government model with rail version of this Sig. I'd pick up another in a heart beat. 2000 rounds with no FTE's or FTF's using stock Sig mags and Wilson Combat 47D's. . It's a great pistol and you get more for your $1000 than anything else on the market. I paid $820 in late 2011 for mine. Solid, reliable, and a great piece for daily carry.
Did you hear that Sig Sauer is discontinuing the square slide profile & going with the traditional rounded 1911 profile. I have a Sig Stainless 1911, I have a feeling that they will go up in value after all the square slides are gone from production.
took my three Kimber's to the range yesterday a 3 inch ultra carry and 4 inch pro carry and the 4 inch pro carry HD, would you believe that they all shot at virtually the same point of aim at 25 yards, did not take my sig may do that next week, along with other 45acp's I have. up in arms as to get the kimber 5 inch or another sig price is the same.
The SIG has a better finish by far, but the Smith is Very light & comfortable to carry. I do not get upset if my guns show wear anymore BTW. I'll never sell a gun , etc.
I am looking to get a sig 1911 stainless rail full size. How much would I be able to get it for? it seems like the best price ive found is a little under $900.
What a beautiful weapon, what I would give to have one of those. Unfortunately a rare neurological disorder following operations on a spinal injury has put a stop to that. I still have a 1911 Airgun to keep my eye in. Make the most of your blessings whilst you can!!!!
Hey man, Love your enthusiastic description, helped me to decide to get mine just like it. You are giving specs for the full size though, overall length on this one is 7.7, weight is 35ozs., sight radius is 5.7 inches. ( off the Sig website ) This is the compact with the 4.2 inch barrel, not the full size 5" barrel. I think it looks better than full size and love mine. Love the videos.
Wow we seem to have the same taste in firearms, first you influenced me to buy a PM40 and recently I purchased I sig sauer 1911 C3, nicest production 1911 I have ever seen in my humble opinion
I had tried just about every gun they had at the range and I was thinking of Springfield xdm 9mm or glock 19 for my first purchase...until I tried the 1911 and I fell in love with it. I currently own the same one you did the review on and I have let my family shoot it and I think I have converted them over lol
POW Right in the kisser !!! lol had to post cuz it reminded me of a episode from Family Guy. beautiful 1911 i seen one in my local gun shop the other day im really thinking on geting one, I just with i could shoot one befor i buy it. Great job with the review.
Similar results here. I've got a full size Scorpion and I had intermittent FTF in the first 300-350 rounds. Now at 400+ it seems to be running flawlessly.
Hey Tom! I watched this video when you first released it and have wanted one of these ever since! Well...I just got mine this last Saturday...only in the Nitron finish...which is way cooler than I thought it would be! You were totally right about this gun!
BTW, to all that commented about the external extractor, I understand your reasoning and always respect all opinions. IMO though, I think Sig did something good here by deviating from tradition in exchange for reliability. Sig set out to produce a very reliable low maintenance firearm. They certainly did. The external extractors are more reliable and don't require any tuning. This gun just plain works and the craftsmanship is unmistakable as soon as you pick it up. Esp the Platinum Elite model.
i like this 1911 in the black looked at it on guns international web site i would go to my gun dealer have it shipped to them oh i plain on taking a on line gumsmith course all so just to learn some new things and to understand more i have had a 22 and couple shot guns no pistols have shot 45 in the service and a friends ruger super redhawk 44 mag so cant wait to get started with this new hobby have a good one
my frnd what you think about Para's new tactical 1911 just released this year. Is there any possible way for you to get your hands on it and do a review ?
A+ on a great video, and as you said, this is a beautiful pistol, especially for the price. I just happen to look at one (Sig) yesterday in my local gun shop. And, I do own an Ed Brown Massad Ayoob 1911. So ..... I know a little about quality. Guess I'm going back today to buy a Sig ..... ;-)
I must be one of the most blessed men on earth. My wife bought me a Sig 1911 C3 (.45) for our anniversary!! What a beautiful gun, what an awesome wife.
I really appreciate your vids. They are always entertaining and often are informative as well. Thanks.
@mrwhite4 The Sig tac ops is nice also. The 1911 is not to thick. Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns.

Thanks for having back Mike
@marksman9939 The Sig is by far my favorite 1911 in my collection. That is until next week when I get a new 1911. It will be a surprise! Thanks for your input!

@ikonik69 I have a lot of other guns on my list before Para. Maybe next year I'll get one. Thanks for your input.
@1911ES1 Thanks for the kind comment! Tom

@davenormann Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns. Save up you'll get one sooner then you think!
I have the Sig platinum elite. Absolutely love this pistol. It is now the centerpiece of my collection, and I have some nice guns. Anyone considering one won't be disappointed.
@outhousepumper1 Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns. I appreciate the kind words.
Thanks for the review, very detailed! I have been considering buying this gun and I'm now ready to go for it. I live in California, would you have any special deals?
@TheYankeeMarshal Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns.
The Sig will shoot better then it looks. Congratulations.
This is the best site! I feel like I'm getting the straight scoop without the spin. I've learned a lot and look forward to learning more!

The SIG 1911 is among my favorites, Thank you
@ironheadgram I guess I should have focused more on the visual look of the gun, thanks for correcting me.
@8talltines Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns.
nice carry !! looks great
The face behind the voice!
@jimkressin I agree, I'll do reviews on my H& Ks. Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns.
Sig 1911 45ACP C3 is a beautiful and sweet gun. The weight and recoil is sweeter than S&W MP40.
My 1911 Gold Cup National Match have never failed to extract a cartridge case with its original extractor after thousands of rounds, so I wonder what difference a coil spring, hinged type extractor on the Sig 1911 do better.
@ViktorSenji Thanks for the nice comment. Tom

@CarvinV3 Thank you for the kind comment, Enjoy your Sig, it is amazing!
I am a big fan of the .45. You will love the SIG 1911 or any SIG .45, Have fun!
Congratulations on your new SIG. Your Wife is a gem:)
How does that line help with the ergonomics of the gun? Really like your videos.
@ElvisOsama Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns. Nice comment.
Congratulations on your new SIG 1911, I love mine!
I think the SIG 1911 is one of the best of the best.
I respect your Passion for the Sigs. Great video + Fantastic Gun! I hope to see more Sig reviews in the Future.
Just fired my buddy's Scorpion model and it was amazingly easy to handle and the trigger was light. Sig makes an amazing product
The SIG 1911 Carry Stainless is the best of the best, do not waste your money on a $3,000 custom 1911. Yes , I said it.
took my three Kimber's to the range yesterday a 3 inch ultra carry and 4 inch pro carry and the 4 inch pro carry HD, would you believe that they all shot at virtually the same point of aim at 25 yards, did not take my sig may do that next week, along with other 45acp's I have. up in arms as to get the kimber 5 inch or another sig price is the same.

Weapons Education this gun is sweet looking. How mush do they usually sell for? Nice attention to detail.
@Pinggong272 Thanks for your input! Sig Sauer makes some really nice guns. My next video on the .44 magnum you will see my face!
Picked up my Stainless Sig 1911 rail gun for $869 today. I could not resist after watching several videos. Only two MIM parts on this 1911

Hey bro great review. Hour much could I get one with rosewood grips for?
I am a huge Kimber fan, thanks for commenting.
a complete field strip and breakdown of the slide (for cleaning/ educational purposes) would be very much appreciated. Thanks Tom!
Hi Tom. In your opinion out of the Sig Sauer 1911 vs Smith and Wesson 1911 scandium. Which would you say has a better fit and finish?
I am looking to get a sig 1911 stainless rail full size. How much would I be able to get it for? it seems like the best price ive found is a little under $900.
@LUISITO60007 I would get the Sig! P226. They are both great guns. Thanks for your input.
Currently trying to decide between that model and the P220.
What a beautiful weapon, what I would give to have one of those. Unfortunately a rare neurological disorder following operations on a spinal injury has put a stop to that. I still have a 1911 Airgun to keep my eye in. Make the most of your blessings whilst you can!!!!

Dang it!!! Up until I saw this video I was thinking of buying a Springfield Target 1911. I may have to change my mind. Great review.
POW Right in the kisser !!! lol had to post cuz it reminded me of a episode from Family Guy. beautiful 1911 i seen one in my local gun shop the other day im really thinking on geting one, I just with i could shoot one befor i buy it. Great job with the review.
@scottmcmordie I think the SIG is the best 1911 for the $
Similar results here. I've got a full size Scorpion and I had intermittent FTF in the first 300-350 rounds. Now at 400+ it seems to be running flawlessly.
A SIG 1911 has surpassed many custom 1911 manufacturers.
I have to agree, I have the Sig XO and very happy with the pistol.
@cbfan1969 Thanks for you input, I hope you find employment.
just bought a Sig Nitron Rail. Have to wait 8 weeks in Maryland for the paperwork to be processed.
I purchased this same gun today ... Looking forward to shooting it!
You will love your new SIG

Hey Tom! I watched this video when you first released it and have wanted one of these ever since! Well...I just got mine this last Saturday...only in the Nitron finish...which is way cooler than I thought it would be! You were totally right about this gun!

My Sig nitron and TTT are right up there with my Baers.
Nice vid. Tom. I got a Tac-Ops...great gat! Always a pleasure sir. Mike
Thank You, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Sir !!!!
Great review. I have this exact gun, except with a rail. It's beautiful.

What do you do for a living? You like everything I like but I can't afford as much, some but not as much lol
Is there a difference between this gun and the XO model?
my frnd what you think about Para's new tactical 1911 just released this year. Is there any possible way for you to get your hands on it and do a review ?
Pretty good review! Sig Sauer always make very good firearms!
@GothChristianPatriot You are right! I'll go with round:)
Tom, consider doing a vid on your gun cleaning and/or knife sharpening. Nice gun.
just bought a nitron carry model love it hope it shoots as good as it looks
A+ on a great video, and as you said, this is a beautiful pistol, especially for the price. I just happen to look at one (Sig) yesterday in my local gun shop.
And, I do own an Ed Brown Massad Ayoob 1911. So ..... I know a little about quality.
Guess I'm going back today to buy a Sig ..... ;-)
