Ive been bhopping for a long time and always asked my self if i was already good what was missing compared to very good bhoppers, this video really helped a lot, great work right here!! Really appreciated buddy!
Also important: Aside from Mouse Polling Rate (which should be 1000hz) mouse laser is important. For me, playing on Logitech G Pro Hero Black gives me more high-gain spikes (random 85-87s) compared to my Razer Deathadder Elite (overall, gain is lower on the latter) Though, it is hard to prove. Maybe the weight makes the difference rather than the laser  also, some server have a plugin called !jhud which you can use to check how well you are doing in terms of strafes (I'd personally recommend using strafetrainer at first instead)
This video is really helpful, thanks for making it. I have been bhopping on and off for years at this point but I had no idea what ssj or strafetrainer are lol. Currently my ssj is 550 with around 55% gain.
Make sure that you have a good mouse by checking it's current refresh rate (Google mouse refresh rate test), it is preferable to have it at 1000hz and check that your fps value hangs around TICKRATE OF THE SERVER multiplied by ANY NUMBER. Everything else can pretty much be practised with a strafetrainer
Just a headsup, a lot of servers have !strafetrainer, which displays your mouse speed on the screen. If you are hitting the so-called "perfect strafe speed" for the jump, it's gonna be in the middle at 100. So go in the chat and type "!strafetrainer" and then aim to be as close to 100 as possible, at all times. This will definitely help. A good tip is to work your way up there with sync. A lot of players move their mouse too slow, so if you were to try and hit a 100 on the strafetrainer, you would most likely find yourself moving your mouse faster than usual, and therefore taking a big dent in your sync, and therefore also your gains. Try and maybe go for 70-80, on strafetrainer, in the beginning, with sync of around 95%. Then you can move up from there. When we are talking SSJ, it's the speed of the sixth jump. Decent SSJ is around 650-660. But the very good strafers average 675+. Just some measurements to compare yourself to.
Oh also, I see you dont do it in your video, but prestrafing is a very crusual thing to do, if you wanna hit good SSJ's, like 670+. Its when you move your mouse diagnally, when also holding down W + (one of the side bottoms, A or D). For example if you would hold down W + D, you would wanna move your mouse diagnally right and vice versa. Its hard in the begging, but when you get the hang of it, you can increase your starting speed all the way up to 287-288, I believe it is, as to where the standard walking speed is 260. This is a 20+ speed difference which is huge. You can easily learn, but also spectating maybe the current record holder or a good player on the server, these players will most likely be doing it, so you can try and imitate. Experiment with doing it from both left holding A and right holding D, to see what you like the most. Aim for an average of around 285 speed. This is the speed of the first jump, also called prespeed in the !SSJ
@@despondent1221 everything has been covered in the series, as this is not the only video that teaches it about it 😄 The reason I dont mention different speeds like 660 and 680 and whatever, is because different people play different tickrates and/or games (me included), so it would be better to rely solely on gain% Still, good advice! 👍

Amzing guide, I have a question though which is a bit not related. If I want to practice a certain bhop map what should I do? Because all the bhop servers I know are random and maps are chosen by votes.
What people usually do is create a lan server using srcds with a bhop timer like Shavit or Influx. It is free and you can get plugins that some servers dont have (though more than often you wont get those private plugins that they have). So get srcds from official page, type 'login anonymous' then 'app_update 740' then wait for like an hour for it to download and after it is finished - get a GSLT token from Steam's webpage. Then make a .bat file (with something similair to this "srcds -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup mg_active +map de_dust2" to start that server (your GSLT token goes somewhere in there, too, with a parameter that I dont remember). After that you just download and install the timer like influx (easy to install but I dont personally like it) and get the map you need and put it into maps folder of the server. The best way to install the server is to get automatic installation with GUI, like - csgosl - just Google CSGO server install GUI or something, should work. And find vids on how to install a sever on UA-cam, that's what I did.
The higher the tick, the higher is the PSS and the speed drop after the first strafe, i.e. You start strafing very wide but narrow strafing down faster, too. The best way is to uncap your fps and to lock it externally to "SERVER TICK x NUMBER", eg. by using Riva Tuner Statistics Server. I explained most of these things in later/previous vids
As a rule of a thumb it should he set to 1, but as there is not enough research into what exactly influences gain when it comes to mice, it is better to personally test it as soon as you reach consistent 80-85 gain. Or get a robotic arm and test it /shrug

Hope that this helps, if you have any questions - feel free to ask :)
Does tickrate influence the PSS ?
Also, I noticed i usually get more gain if i uncap my fps (i usually cap it at 128).

How many consistent sync% is consider good?
Assuming we are doing two strafes per jump, I d personally say 87 is the minimum, 90 is ok, 93 is good. 95-98 is very good
should u bhop with raw input or without raw input?
