🙌 This came from Jordan and his needs. He was after ways of indicating notes and stuff on fretboard. Tried all sort of things, but it easily gets out of hands. Idea of having same symbols in both octaves also comes from him, the same need to make things clearer for navigating.
Thank you! e note was pretty handy as it landed on 5,7,9,12 frets nicely. The only exception being 2nd fret instrad of 3rd. The graphics still keep the focus on 3rd pretty strongly. if that arrows graphic inlay would have also been on 2nd fret it would have caused a lot of visual confusion.
Absolutely love the look of the inlays. It’s wonderful to see something fun and original on a guitar. It was part of why I decided to pick one up. And the sustainiac makes it even more magical. Can’t wait to play it!
Thank you! Super cool you’re getting one! I’m happy so many dig these inlays and the fretboard design. The further this project went the more I felt I got to have one of these myself. It’s a magic guitar, super inspiring. also very different from my other guitars so it’s a nice addition. Sustaniac is damn cool! 🙌🙂
I think (and hope) it’s even more Jordan and his Wiz world. I’m so super happy about the whole guitar. This guitar is a very nice addition to my tools and certainly will inspire new music! It already has…
I've never liked non-dot/block inlays until now, this one looks great. Never liked the flower pattern on the JEMs, but these decals are like a game changer
Okay now, as much as I dislike the form of the stranbergs, that design of yours is absolutely phenomenal man. You deserve this big win ! And that sustainiac, i had no idea this existed ! THIS IS SICK ! I wonder how much would it cost to add on a guitar that isnt built for it ? Cause you would need space for the battery and stuff.
Thank you! Strandberg design is very modern and quite far from traditional looks of guitar. Well more than looks. The ergonomics too. As much as I’ve heard Sustainiac doesn’t cost that much but the installation is another thing. It’s more than that battery box. It’s all the circuit boards and stuff too. What I’ve hear it’s quite tricky to setup so I’d definetly talk to some professional guitar repairman.
I've had a Sustainiac installed on a '93 MIJ Jackson Soloist. It's an easy job for a good luthier; requires two small holes to be drilled for the toggle switches that are attached to the circuit board, and (for my application) the removal of a small amount of material in the pickup cavity for the Sustainiac to fit perfectly. For cost, you'll likely spend more on the Sustainiac (about $200) than the install job.
Thank you! I don't know much about custom guitar design. Only did the graphics for the fretboard. It's like any graphic design work. Any vector graphics application will do. I used Affinity designer, imported a template for the fretboard I got from Strandberg. There were certain guidelines and limitarions with what was possible for the inlay machine to do, line thickness and corner radius, so I had to work within those limitations.
Awesome demo, dude! How do you make the Sustainiac work in the neck position before the 'How to Operate Sustainiac' section? I know the Sustainiac only works on bridge pickups, but before that, it sounded really good.
Thank you. Yep sustainiac only uses the sound from bridge pickup. Not sure what part you meant… but no matter what you have selected with pickup selection it bypasses the switch and gives the sustaniac together with bridge pickup.
The guitar feels pretty small. it’s very light too. headless and the body is also quite small, not much body beyond the vibrato unit. All makes it a very compact travel guitar, easy take with you in the softbag that comes along.
@@shredgordon3240Aristides are making great sounding instruments dont get me wrong. But filling Arium in a form and the guitar is already made close to finnish is not compareable with a real custom made guitar from the craftmanship. Moreover pricetag including vat at Aristides is more like 4,5k € at least for the specs I would chose maybe you could get lower with budget specs but if you spend that much money you dont want compromises.
Sounds phenomenal !! You play it so well :)! That’s so awesome that you were able to work with Strandberg and Jordan ! I wonder how Jordan managed to convince them to add a sustainiac .. it’s never been done before by Strandberg as far as I am aware .. Anyway thank you for the brilliant video ! I love my Boden Nx7 standard but I do wish I had a 6 string sometimes . Regardless I really am thankful to strandberg because they have helped me to keep playing guitar ! :) Seriously your playing is killer and I love the sustainiac tones too! That harmonic overtones mode is going to blow heads off 😂 :) rock on 🤘 ! You certainly will make great use of it as shown by the demo. I would love if you could make another demo when you’ve owned it for a bit longer :)! Of course it’s up to you but just an idea! I’d be curious to see how you find the endur neck as it does take some getting used to or at least it did for me :)
Thank you Nick!!! Installing Sustainiac is not the easiest job in the world. That’s what I’ve heard. But having it in Jordans signature model felt like a must thing. And it sure is fantastic! You’re right about the neck. It feels a bit alien at first but I kind of forgot it quite quickly. There’s demo song video coming out soon!
Well this guitar was complitely new and strange to me at the time. I’ve learned to tune the guitar now. But I still have no idea how you change the strings! 🖐😂
The idea to put a small dot to indicate every E-note is a brilliant idea! I wish this will be adopted into more guitars in the future.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL VIDEO....EXPLANATION IS BRILLIANT...THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS VIDEO..
Hey, thank you
Just saw the video with Strandberg but I had no idea that you helped with the design. Phenomenal work!
Great! This guitar came out very beautiful. Thank you!
definetly the prettiest guitar i have seen ever. the inlays are the best part
Thank you! 🖐🙂
Fantastic. Can't believe no-one has done that with inlay markers before. What a great idea!

すごく個性的でアーティスティックなインレイですね。かっこいいです
Thank you! 🙌
Awesomeness
Totally! 🙌
Amazing guitar !!
Thank you, sure is!
great sound
Thanks!
I've never liked non-dot/block inlays until now, this one looks great.
Never liked the flower pattern on the JEMs, but these decals are like a game changer
Thank you! This is a nice compliment. Jem's with floral and dissapearing pyramid -patterns were definetly some of the references for this.
Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
Congrats!
Thanks!

Great guitar, by the way can you tell me how to design our own custom guitar, which software to use and all that stuff

Great design features. I would love a guitar strap too with your design. 🙌🏻
Thank you! Strap would be cool!

@@MikaFastfinger ok thanks
This is a beautiful instrument, congratulations! I want one, one more to add to my wishlist 😅
Thank you!!!
I'm afraid to ask how much this costs ...
Well, I can let you know what it costs at strandbergguitars.com if you dare to ask!!! 😅
A little over 3k I think. At that price point just get a custom aristedies.
$3500 and they are sold out
