You're authoritative and skilled enough to warn people not to do French ring with just any dog. Most dogs simply don't have what it takes. Same with e.g. special forces. Some guys simply don't have the nerves or physical capabilities to perform certain tasks. In the end they will just fuck up the dog. Love your content!
So fascinating to see that sort of training ... thanks to you and Bethany for those 4 videos going from foundation with puppies to more advanced level. I specially like the "pauses" when you give a short explanation on what we will see. It really help to understand when we are not familiar with all that. And also seeing those real training illustrates and reinforces all the stuff you are teaching us in other video ... exactly what you explain in the pauses in the first video.
Well, that was very interesting. Not having a dog to be trained in protection, I have seen very few instructional tapes. Having the elements explained was new to me and appreciated. It was also interesting to see the subtle differences in training style. We will be watching the other tapes in this playlist.
it is great and it is inspire me to goosebumps My German shaped is 11 years old and I was sinking it is my last well trained dog.. but watching your videos... i want to take another pup and train it from A to Z. Thank you
I wish I had a club nearby. I'd love to learn IGP! Well actually except for all the stories I get about the people in the sport. My trainer tells me it can be a bit of a magnet for certain types but I don't know.
I have trained dogs for Schutzhund/ IPO and personal protection since I was 15. Thats a little over 18 years ago. I have, in the last couple months, been much more interested in getting into one of the ring sports. My question is, what is supposed to actually happen and how do u get judged when doing the level 2 retrieve. When u were practicing it I saw u give him the item and he has to go around poll and bring it back. But I heard u say something about only working on one part of it and I also heard u say something about handler can't stop walking. So I didn't really understand what the final picture should look like. Thank u guys for doing these videos. I really learn a lot. Especially u nate, I have been watching several of your techniques, even when I'm watching commands that I already know how to train, I love your techniques and I always learn something new.
Thanks! I'm not 100% sure on the retrieves, but if you're really interested in french ring, I would suggest joining a FR club. That's one of the best ways to learn. :)

Hey I have a question ik French ring is base around malinois and knvp around Dutch shepherds but I have been looking into French ring n I want to be different I’m doing a lot of research on Dutch shepherds but I’ve been asking why I done see Dutch shepherds in French ring n I have seen dobermans gsd in the sport so why not that breed someone told me they are harder to train than mals are a lil heavier and has less endurance in your opinion can a Dutch shepherd excel in French ring? In general
Great training video. I watched out of curiosity - I do not do protection sport - I do heelwork to music freestyle and noticed my boy has become a little sloppy with lockdown and not being able to use our training hall. The fundamentals are remarkably similar :) Is your Facebook page just for those doing protection sport?
Thanks! That's a remote in her hand and she holds her hands up as part of the rules or expected body language for French Ring. I'm not sure if it is something that can be pointed or not, but I always see people do that during the change of position exercise.
Very much enjoyed seeing you have decoy keep working the dog until you blew the whistle, rather than decoy stop when the horn blew. That is a better training model I don't see worked enough
Lol! Some dogs take longer than others to learn. Just be patient and continue to work with your pup everyday and you'll be sure to see improvements. :)
What is there in that yellow color, in other words dogs will perform all the commands for a food treat which is understandable, but for a ball? What's so special??

I trained with a lot of people that use Dutch Shepherds in French Ring. They're very similar to the Malinois. :)
Great video
Can you do a video about IPO/IGP tracking method.
Yes, I plan on having a playlist dedicated to all IPO/IGP training. :)

Thanks! My facebook page is for anyone wanting to learn more about dog training or to share dog training. :)
At what age do you start training for the bite work/jump portions of french ring?
Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/tQHdtGuViVk/v-deo.html
First, gorgeous dog.
What is she holding in her right hand that has an antenna?
Why is she bringing her hand to her mouth?
Thanks! That's a remote in her hand and she holds her hands up as part of the rules or expected body language for French Ring. I'm not sure if it is something that can be pointed or not, but I always see people do that during the change of position exercise.
everything is amazing.
Thank you🌹❤, Sir🙏
Thanks! :)
Enjoying French Ring. Do you think you will do IPO? That is my main sport I'm looking into.
Thanks! Yes, I have an entire playlist planned for IPO. Thanks for supporting the channel. :)
Sweet! Thank you so much!

Me hubiera gustado ver una mordida más intensa y ver al perro disfrutar más esa mordida
¡Gracias! Sí, planeo hacer más episodios de entrenamiento de protección en un futuro cercano.
This sucks, now i wish my dog was trained. I’m working so hard but not doing a good job. I’m sure it’s me, the dog couldn’t be as dumb as he seems.

Depends on the dog. Some love toys, while others couldn’t care less.
@@NateSchoemer sir then how to find which dog is food oriented or toy oriented
i´m good, cardio sucks =D
Haha! :D
