Suddenly an iMovie Trailer gets my videos pulled and Digital Juice StackTraxx Song (legal license) gets flagged too? Shouldn't there be a content id on licensed items? Is there even a point to make fun videos for relatives in other states to see? Ugh!

I contact so called YRT partner support team and they babble same generic responses even though I complain about bogus claims and what are they doing to screen out these claims that ANYONE can claim even with few seconds in video that maybe has 3-5 notes of music and then steal our money which we will never see the money on. I escalate and the so called support team does nything but support us or listen to our feedback, proof and complaints. YT just doesn't want to hear it but they get a cut of the profits!!

I got a copyright claim about a song that’s royalty free (it’s from filmora) and this person is claiming the song is theirs. Hadn’t even changed the song one bit. They posted ther video yesterday. Claiming it was released two days ago which is ironic cause I used the song in a video back in July

The person called Bianca Pagliarin falsely claimed free music and the actual author himself commented her video to say it's not allowed to put content ID but she ignored his comment. I just got a copyright claim today and the video i used came from the UA-cam audio library. I do meditation videos and just put a guided meditation with the music from the youtube audio library. There is another channel who is claiming that it is their song but it is not their song at all. All you have to do is look at drifting in 432 hz in the youtube audio library and you would find the song I used. It is pretty easy to prove that I did not make a copyright infringement.

As soon as I posted a video with a mix of 17 music I got copyrighted for one of them. They referenced the song starting from a specific time in the video. But the title of the song they wrote is copyrighted is completely a different one from the one I used! Maybe a glitch or something? Actually I think I didn’t even finish uploading the video and I already got copyrighted? A mystery, I am waiting for their explanation.
I post regularly music videos of mixes from what I know to be copyrighted content (it's for fun and faire use as I'm not eligible for monetization anyway). I saw a song I put once copyrighted for another band... that sampled that song ! The problem is that there's only a "dispute" button, not a "wrong content ID claim" button, which would be very useful....

Real case: a UA-cam channel using videos downloaded from a dozen of Facebook personal accounts without any kind of consent of the owners, monetizing them and falsely pretending owning the rights (also sending copyright strikes to some persons which appear in the videos). Channel name: DIVERTISMENTROMANIA.
Remember kids, search up the music (even though it is not copyright) to see if someone stole the music then made it copyrighted, so that you will not get claimed or striked
For the past month I have been studying, transcribing, and arranging renaissance music in FL-Studio (my DAW). The goal is to complete 9 pieces by the end of the month. Tonight, I uploaded a version of John Dowland's Frog Gilliard. As music from the 16th century is public domain, I shouldn't have had an issue. However, 2 bad players have claimed 'copyright' of a segment of the video. My account isn't monetized, so it's meaningless; but it angers me that anyone can claim ownership. I find it perplexing that 2 entities can claim ownership of the same music. Even if they had a valid claim, one of them would be lying.

Its just happened to us on one video where we have used 2 royalty free tracks. These jokers from We Are Era Music BV tried to copyright strike us - twice. We dismissed both times and stated reasons why but both strikes were upheld. We then appealed and stated the music was sourced in good faith from royalty free / free to use sources and that from a legal standpoint We Are Era have no claims on the music. Finally they walked away and dropped it. They don't have a claim on such music and they know it. Don't let them bully you!
@@TheReclusiveGamer I dismissed twice and they came back with upheld strike. I gathered evidence and stated UK copyright law and they backed down. If you’re in the right - fight them. They try hard to scare people and that is their method because so many people don’t want the hassle. But if you’re putting time and effort into creating and abiding by the rules - push back. Every time. They’ll drop it because they know they don’t have a case.

@@Jayne1971 if you’ve got the music from UA-cam and it was marked as Royalty Free / Free for use - you are 100% in your rights to contests all the way. Even if upheld - keep going. It is not upholdable by law and they know it. It’s just bullying tactics and don’t stand for it.

What if it's a cover song and the artists were dead? I'm also having copyright claims in my music video contains many cover songs from 1950s during Vietnam War. The claims request money to shared when I monetised video. There are at least 3-4 company claims involved in 11 songs, stating I am using the melody owned by them. I have not disputed it it yet but I find it unbelievable that some no name companies can own copyrights to those songs from extremely famous artists who are no longer here. To support this, I successfully disputed one claim as the song was definately free to use. I believe it was also fake copyright. How should I dispute this?

SoundVault Limited filed a copyright claim on one of my videos. I had a "Free To Use" song Take U There by Cramoki. I disputed it with UA-cam and got nowhere. So, I just replaced the song.

While i so appreciate this video and all the wisdom and experience of the creator, getting copyright claim within 30 days is unacceptable to me! In my experience of receiving bogus copyright claims that eventually get removed weeks later, I NEVER see the so called revenues put in escrow during claim even after it is removed. I don't know if YT, the fake claimant or someone else is pocketing this money that I spent alot of time and money (including buying royalty free music) creating, I barely see maybe 4 CENTS (!) after removed! So, I have two deltarune videos on my channel where I fight the Jevil, both got copyright claimed because the music for his fight can be heard in his fight, this greatly upsets me because I want to do youtube for a living and now I'm being told I basically can't play Deltarune on my channel, and it's not like those videos were even monetized anyway, and in the second Jevil video I made a comment saying I didn't claim to own the song, but I still got claimed, what should I do?
The same guys who tried to claim my Sonic Mania playthroughs for "Green Hill Zone" are trying to claim my Hollow Knight videos for "Hornet" lol. I had to redo my Sonic Mania playthrough and spend as much time as Super Sonic as possible just so the music would change and avoid the other 6 claims they made on all videos with the Green Hill Zone in it. The game's respective creators are fine with streaming the games, their music, and pictures of the materials, so if UA-cam still lets them do it after having disputed their claims, I'll probably just leave to Twitch like most of us did before for the same reason. To make things worse, the aforementioned Sonic Mania videos "weren't" even monetised since I'm too small for that, but after their claims, friends have told me that adverts have started showing up on my vids too.

For the past month I have been studying, transcribing, and arranging renaissance music in FL-Studio (my DAW). The goal is to complete 9 pieces by the end of the month. Tonight, I uploaded a version of John Dowland's Frog Gilliard. As music from the 16th century is public domain, I shouldn't have had an issue. However, 2 bad players have claimed 'copyright' of a segment of the video. My account isn't monetized, so it's meaningless; but it angers me that anyone can claim ownership. I find it perplexing that 2 entities can claim ownership of the same music. Even if they had a valid claim, one of them would be lying.
This is still happening to my videos as well... Does UA-cam haven't fixed a thing about these so called "real copyright claims" 😢

I had the world map music from Yoshi's Island while playing it copyright claimed! So shameful that people do this. It was in one tiny part of the video so I just muted it, but it's ridiculous this is a problem. Now I'm looking into disputing a false claim on public domain music.

I am not just letting some random no one mess with my favorite song. I submitted a dispute and am considering making a video about this.

Unfortunately someone tried disputing them before and they rejected, so I’m less likely to see success if I dispute those.

Its just happened to us on one video where we have used 2 royalty free tracks. These jokers from We Are Era Music BV tried to copyright strike us - twice. We dismissed both times and stated reasons why but both strikes were upheld. We then appealed and stated the music was sourced in good faith from royalty free / free to use sources and that from a legal standpoint We Are Era have no claims on the music. Finally they walked away and dropped it. They don't have a claim on such music and they know it. Don't let them bully you!
@@TheReclusiveGamer I dismissed twice and they came back with upheld strike. I gathered evidence and stated UK copyright law and they backed down. If you’re in the right - fight them. They try hard to scare people and that is their method because so many people don’t want the hassle. But if you’re putting time and effort into creating and abiding by the rules - push back. Every time. They’ll drop it because they know they don’t have a case.

@@Jayne1971 if you’ve got the music from UA-cam and it was marked as Royalty Free / Free for use - you are 100% in your rights to contests all the way. Even if upheld - keep going. It is not upholdable by law and they know it. It’s just bullying tactics and don’t stand for it.

@@Jayne1971 to be honest this is all UA-cams fault. They allow parasites like this to scrape their platform - they need to manage this much better than they do. If they are going to promote royalty free music, then allow these idiots to hit people with copyright strikes - it should all land back on UA-cam. What if it's a cover song and the artists were dead?
I'm also having copyright claims in my music video contains many cover songs from 1950s during Vietnam War. The claims request money to shared when I monetised video. There are at least 3-4 company claims involved in 11 songs, stating I am using the melody owned by them. I have not disputed it it yet but I find it unbelievable that some no name companies can own copyrights to those songs from extremely famous artists who are no longer here.
To support this, I successfully disputed one claim as the song was definately free to use. I believe it was also fake copyright.

SoundVault Limited filed a copyright claim on one of my videos. I had a "Free To Use" song Take U There by Cramoki. I disputed it with UA-cam and got nowhere. So, I just replaced the song.
They have gone way too far. I disputed over this SoundVault Limited copyright claim somedays back. And they rejected. Now I just done appealing. If I haven't done any wrong, why replacing the song? I have permission.

While i so appreciate this video and all the wisdom and experience of the creator, getting copyright claim within 30 days is unacceptable to me! In my experience of receiving bogus copyright claims that eventually get removed weeks later, I NEVER see the so called revenues put in escrow during claim even after it is removed. I don't know if YT, the fake claimant or someone else is pocketing this money that I spent alot of time and money (including buying royalty free music) creating, I barely see maybe 4 CENTS (!) after removed! PLUS, everytime I live stream the video, I get another exact SAME claim that I have to waste time to get removed. THE WHOLE COPYRIGHT CLAIM PROCESS IS A SCAM!

The same guys who tried to claim my Sonic Mania playthroughs for "Green Hill Zone" are trying to claim my Hollow Knight videos for "Hornet" lol.
I had to redo my Sonic Mania playthrough and spend as much time as Super Sonic as possible just so the music would change and avoid the other 6 claims they made on all videos with the Green Hill Zone in it.
The game's respective creators are fine with streaming the games, their music, and pictures of the materials, so if UA-cam still lets them do it after having disputed their claims, I'll probably just leave to Twitch like most of us did before for the same reason.
To make things worse, the aforementioned Sonic Mania videos "weren't" even monetised since I'm too small for that, but after their claims, friends have told me that adverts have started showing up on my vids too.

This happened to me by a big channel for using a simple Pixabay video. I disputed and even gave the link where I got it from and file name. What if the claimant decides not to drop the claim?
