The 507c shake awake should work in auto or manual mode. I keep mine on manual and the dot goes to sleep after 10 minutes.

Does it really? I thought it only worked in the auto mode, I'll have to try it out later. Thanks for the info too.

The key to "auto" is to make sure the minimum for "dark" is set. Full sun light extreme is not at all a problem, but how the optic dims for low light use that can create a problem.

I think you misstated something important. The Shake to Wake function will work in both the Automatic and Manual Mode. It will not in Lock-out mode.
Shake to Wake can also be turned off by changing the Sleep Time.

You have to realize that if it's his edc the auto shut off timer is constantly being reset from movement and vibrations the only time it "shuts off" is when he's asleep or it not on him and laying complete still

@@AN_APPEAL_2_HEAVEN okay, so at best it should last at least as long as constant on. Which is advertised as 2yrs (and legit 2yrs on RMR). Either way 3 months is unacceptable, given that it's always OFF at night (at the minimum)

@@HoustonT17 looking back I thought this was the one with the acss reticle as well which seemed fair to be because of what that acss Vulcan reticle brings to the table but since it's the circle dot reticle yeah definitely an issue

When looking through the glass which optic has a larger window?

It is the Holosun 508t x2. Both are good optics though.

@el.paco.mule9492 the only difference between the he and the hs in the 507c models is that the he (Holosun Elite) is either a green or gold reticle where as the hs (Holosun Standard) is of the "standard" red reticle...
