- What an amazing episode I have for you today.The Kings of Stings are together for an amazing Yellow Jacket Wasp removals in Alabama.
After receiving a call from a wonderful lady who had a major insect issue in her home. She saw a weird spot on her wall and upon inspection, found out the hard way they were out to hurt her. She initially thought she had an infestation of honey bees in her wall and she called me. After a few questions, I knew that honeybees were not her problem but she most likely had an issue with Southern Yellow Jackets. Not the meanest of the breed but definitely not anything you want to mess with.
After much thought, I called The 628 Dirt Rooster. We put our ideas together and both knew this was a job for The Hornet King. After a few conversations the plans were made and what followed was one of the most memorable jobs I've dealt with.
My Yellow jacket removal video is 1 of 3 that we are all putting out. I will post links to their videos as soon as they get them out. Also, look below for links to their channels and give them some sub love.
Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friend and mentor; @Jpthebeeman, a professional beekeeper , has learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and homeowners alike.

• Hornet King Took Over,...
Southern yellowjacket workers are about 1/2” long, yellow and black striped insects. Their wings fold in on themselves so that they look long and thin when the insect is not flying. Queens are larger, and often they are a more solid yellow-orange with the black stripes being much reduced.
Habitat & Hosts
Yellowjackets use their chewing mouthparts to chew plant fiber to form “paper” for their nests. Nests are most often found below ground, but can be in tree holes and wall voids or similar places above ground. Yellowjackets are protein feeders and eat other insects, but they can also eat flesh from dead animals. They also feed on plant nectar and frequently forage around garbage cans and picnic tables.
Life Cycle
Mated queens overwinter as adults in protected areas and start new colonies in the spring. Initially, the queen constructs the first cells of the nest, lays fertilized eggs, and provides food for this early generation of larvae. It takes about 30 days for these insects to develop and they then assume the duties of nest building and food gathering. The queen “retires” to egg laying and no longer has to leave the nest. Colonies grow throughout the summer and can reach a size of 4,000 insects. New queens are produced in the nest in autumn. At this time, males are also produced by the queen depositing an unfertilized egg. The new queens emerge from the colony, mate, and then find a protected place to overwinter. The old queen then dies and the colony declines. However, in Texas, some colonies can survive several years.

Man that's intense! Not gonna lie makes my skin crawl, give me rattlesnakes all day! I accidentally unearthed a hive while pulling a big python out of some rocks and I dropped the python and ran 🏃♂️ 🙃
Bwahahaha. How in the heck could that even happen? No lie, I probably would have e too. Any bee,wasp or flying bug that comes out of the ground ain't got any reason to exist but to hurt me.
Just be glad that snakes don't have wings. 1 vs 4000, I'm dropping the snake too.
Dang skippy.....I actually don't mind snakes but at the 1 on 1 basis. More than that and I'm out!
4k snakes sounds good..... although 4k, Paradise Flying Snakes, would be a bit interesting.
I'm 57 years old and have spent my entire life petrified of bees. Thanks to you, Hornet King & Dirt Rooster, I am slowly turning my fear into respect and awe for these little creatures. I don't know that I could jump into a suit and stand near a hive! But, I don't run away from them (as much - lol) when in my yard. I once jumped out of a car that was pulling up to a red light because a yellow jacket flew in. So, I guess you could say you are the cheapest therapists around and helping me quell my fears!
Awesome....although it's much safer from that side of the screen I'm glad we are helping in some way.

Wasp, yellowjackets etc are not kept for anything. They are dispatched in the collection process. They just aren't as personable as bees ...wink wink

The Hornet King also has his own channel and he has a wife referred now to as Hornet Queen. If you hate wasp watch the Hornet King after the removal’s he takes the hives home and feeds the larva to his chickens and squirrels. So satisfying lol

Hey Yappy Beaman, my neighbor has some beehives that are registered in a urban Florida neighborhood. What do I do when I walk out in my back yard and work for 5-10 minutes, and I get attacked constantly,. I was stung near my eye 3 times as if their were aiming.
Hate that but that would be a conversation to have with your city.

We believed that was termite damage to start with.
