- YES IT WAS ! And I was the guy who saved the day, and the bees.
Welcome to another exciting episode of honeybee fun with me, YappyBeeman (tm).
For once the video pretty much explains it all. I got a call from a customer who was refurbishing an old home when they found a colony of bees living in the eve of the house. After watching my videos and my friends, @JPthebeeman @628DirtRooster and @JeffHorchoff he felt like he might be comfortable to remove the colony. But the bees had another idea. Things didn't go as well as he hoped and decided to call Yappy. And thats where we begin. I hope you enjoy this one and please don't forget to leave a comment and feed the Al-Gore-rhythm.

Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friends Jpthebeeman, 628 Dirtrooster bees, Jeff Horchoff and many others, I have learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and home owners alike.

Here is a little bee educational material for ya.
Honey bees appear to have their center of origin in South and Southeast Asia (including the Philippines), as all the extant species except Apis mellifera are native to that region. Notably, living representatives of the earliest lineages to diverge (Apis florea and Apis andreniformis) have their center of origin there.[2]
The first Apis bees appear in the fossil record at the Eocene-Oligocene boundary (34 mya), in European deposits. The origin of these prehistoric honey bees does not necessarily indicate Europe as the place of origin of the genus, only that the bees were present in Europe by that time. Few fossil deposits are known from South Asia, the suspected region of honey bee origin, and fewer still have been thoroughly studied.
No Apis species existed in the New World during human times before the introduction of A. mellifera by Europeans. Only one fossil species is documented from the New World, Apis nearctica, known from a single 14 million-year-old specimen from Nevada.[10]
The close relatives of modern honey bees - e.g., bumblebees and stingless bees - are also social to some degree, and social behavior is considered to be a trait that predates the origin of the genus. Among the extant members of Apis, the more basal species make single, exposed combs, while the more recently evolved species nest in cavities and have multiple combs, which has greatly facilitated their domestication.
Species
While about 20,000 species of bees exist,[11] only eight species of honey bee are recognized, with a total of 43 subspecies, although historically seven to 11 species are recognized:[12] Apis andreniformis (the black dwarf honey bee); Apis cerana (the eastern honey bee); Apis dorsata (the giant honey bee); Apis florea (the red dwarf honey bee); Apis koschevnikovi (Koschevnikov's honey bee); Apis laboriosa (the Himalayan giant honey bee); Apis mellifera (the western honey bee); and Apis nigrocincta (the Philippine honey bee).[13]
Honey bees are the only extant members of the tribe Apini. Today's honey bees constitute three clades: Micrapis (the dwarf honey bees), Megapis (the giant honey bee), and Apis (the western honey bee and its close relatives).[12][14]
Africanized honey bees (known colloquially as "killer bees") are hybrids between European stock and the East African lowland subspecies A. m. scutellata; they are often more aggressive than European honey bees and do not create as much of a honey surplus, but are more resistant to disease and are better foragers.[23] Accidentally released from quarantine in Brazil, they have spread to North America and constitute a pest in some regions. However, these strains do not overwinter well, so they are not often found in the colder, more northern parts of North America. The original breeding experiment for which the East African lowland honey bees were brought to Brazil in the first place has continued (though not as originally intended). Novel hybrid strains of domestic and re-domesticated Africanized honey bees combine high resilience to tropical conditions and good yields. They are popular among beekeepers in Brazil.
YAPPY! Those girls were loving on you lol... Thank you for choosing Guardian Bee Apparel. You rock!
They seemed to chill after putting on such a proper suit. They were a bit higher class than their surroundings I guess
Every time you hear a bell ring, Yappy gets a sting! 🐝 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔
I would prefer wings but......
My dog was really concerned hearing the bell go off so much.
Please tell ypur dog all is well and I have recovered ....lol
Man, every single video you post i learn something new! I absolutely love it! If you had taught any of my high school classes, perhaps I would have done better in high school. Lol! 🤣😂 Seriously though, your knowledge is very obvious and your personality is so lovable. What you do is beyond interesting so everything combined makes your content among the very best on UA-cam, in my personal opinion! Thanks for another educational and exciting video! I hope your stings are healing well. This is the first time I've ever seen you wear a suit so I know it was rough... But as always, you got the job done despite the extra challenges. Well done, my friend, very well done! 💪💙🐝
These poor bees, lol, first they got the homeowner touching their house, then hive beetles show up, then Yappy, then robbers, I'm surprised they weren't more defensive than they were!
man......what a joy to see a Master at his craft!. Ive learned so much from you through the years. Merry Christmas Yappy!
Thank you my friend. Thanks for stopping by
love ya work yappy, from Cumbria UK
Thank you. And hello from the other side of the world....
Normally I get a chuckle when Yappy gets buzzed by a bee, but there is absolutely no humor when it’s around the face. Another great video sir and I learned something new regarding the beetles. I’ve never heard of them.
So sorry you got stung many times. Perhaps your minion needs her own bee bonnet/suit. Wishing you and your family a blessed holiday season, gentle weather and restful evenings. Peace Yappy
Thanks much Cat. I have since got her a suit. She just wears it and stays 50 ft away still. I just laugh.
Thanks Yappy! I always enjoy your videos(not the part when you get stung though). If you can't be good at least be carful!
Ask not for whom that bell tolls... 😂
Ok you wore a bee suit, thing is you always read hives perfectly, when you started you didn't know there were bugs there, you knew the bees weren't happy, hence that's why you're so amazing at what you do 🙂
I like the bell noise you use to indicate and help count the stings. Good video, Yappy! Keep'em comin'!
You are THE BEST! You and the Texas Bee lady are by far the most in tuned with bees 🐝. God bless you.
WOW! not a fun day for you! Good video!
They chilled out a bit later but they made me earn it on tjis one.
That bell sound when you got stung... awww man!! Those bees were at the end of their rope. Do a lot of the hive beetles get in with the bees when you vacuum them up? Hope they don't follow to their next home.
Glad you were able to get them out. That was a mess load of bees and the Queen was excitable and tried to get away too. Have a great day and happy hunting.
Thank you. It was still fun even after a few stings.
Yappie it’s real nice to see you
It makes me so happy to watch a video from Yappy. Hope your holiday season is joyous and happy
Thank you and to you as well.
That looked like one of your tougher jobs
Love this channel 🤭💛 “Mr Yappy educating & entertaining in one video”, “you know it’s good”
Cheers Mr Yappy from me across the seas in Yorkshire UK… 👋🏼
Hey Y'all. Hope you are well and glad to see you in the comments as always.
lol that bee suit is getting some use. Love the church bells 🔔 😂😂
I think this year was the worst season I have had in a long time for wax moth an hive beetles . I did not lose any colonies over it because I keep on top of them but they were bad . My mite were not to bad this year . We had a real dry year an just thinking that may have been a factor in all this . Thanks for the update in what all is going on. Sure heard a lot of chimes going off on this video. LOL . There has to be a pissed one ever now an then . Thanks
Yep, you and Jeff, by the TON! Happy Yappy! God Bless!
Sometimes you just have to take a few for the team!!! Thanks Yappy!!!
Bee suit. 😂. Come my side of the world. You be wearing a suit all day. Hehe.
Solid video Yappy the editing was so good loved the music at the end to!
Thanks Finn. It was more fun to edit than actually do the removal, lol.
Good morning Yappy, will that ol' chair put me in a sleeper hold last night and I missed the premier...but I'm up now...coffee, coffee, coffee...
Your videos are always informative as well as entertaining.
Thanks for the interesting video! ❤
Just found your stuff today and am enjoying your stuff. Funny suggestion is that you should add a sting counter with the gong sound.
Thanks for sharing.
Wow!
So were hive beetles vacuumed up with the bees?
Thank you for another excellent video!
Wow you really know how to buzz them off. Thx. Yappy..
What's with the gong? Did you add it for every time you got stung? LOL
Yes. I may need to change it to a ding or something instead. May even add a counter. Just a bit of added fun.
Hive beetles bad news! I love 🐝 bees so much. Save the bee's.
That is really hard jop. Well done
It was. Thanks for watching.
Merry Christmas. Enjoy your videos. Learned so much about bees from you.
Hey Yappy! Can you do a video showing or explaining different bee types/species you deal with
The suit is OK since it is spring but NO WHITE after Labor day
4 of my hives have gone wild will requeen in spring
Awesome! Did you also get the wild hive out in the trees?
I just wanna say thank you for giving videos not filled up with profanity. I was watching the Killer Bee guy out of Arizona and his mouth is so foul that I can't watch him anymore. It's a shame.
I agree about his content. I have never been a fan myself. Thanks for finding me and I appreciate the comment. I put this out so that someday my children can show my grandkids what a crazy guy I was . So family friendly is what I make.
@@YappyBeeman God bless ya and thank you for what you do! 🙏
@@YappyBeemanI concur! It blows my mind how casual profanity has become these days. Not just on UA-cam but just in general. Society has drastically lost it's way. I also genuinely appreciate your lack of cussing. Thank you! 🙂💙🐝🐝🐝
Those girls were not happy!
If the hive is swarmed with hive beetles when you vacuum the bee's
Do many of the beetles get sucked up
If so how do you manage to separate them when you take the hive home.
They unfortunately go along with them. Its just part of it.
Mr Yappy: What do you do with the really brown dark old comb? Do you keep it? Will the bees use it? Does it get recycled? Thank you! 😊
@@sosanosa08 I generally give it to a friend that melts and recycles it.
I need a suit of any kind lol
Yappy, I swear tobacco in the smoker works on pissy bees. Been doing it for years. As little as a 1/2 cigarette's worth works. Cigars, chaws, pipe tobacco etc. will fix them up. Usually put it in before lighting. Seems to last all day. BTW -When you're up to your a$$ in alligators...
+++++++YOU ROCK , OH FEARLESS ONE!!!
A friend of mine went to Cuba , he said all the people who work bees there, male and females keep a lit cigar while working the hives.
gwarrn yappy
What happens if you vacuum up the food thieves from the other colony? Will they ball up and kill them?
They may fight some but they quickly combine with the bees in the new home given.
How do the bees deal with the beetles?
In the video, you mention that the bees are in defense mode, but what does that mean for the beetles?
@@wessltov they try to keep them cornered away from the comb inside the void the best they can.
Do the beetles also get vacuumed along with the bees and will this contaminate the bees new home?
@@andreakelly4072 , the sometimes do. There are methods to put beetle traps in my hives to catch and reduce issues with them.
Hey Yappy! There were a lot of comments but they disappeared.
those were the live preview ones
Are the bees getting more aggressive?
How did you keep the bees from returning in an OPEN house like this. Bet I know the answer.
Yappy must have made somebody mad. I'm not getting notifications of his content.
Yappy, when you vacuum up the bees, do you also also vacuum up the hive Beatles? 🐝🇨🇦🐝🇨🇦❤️🐝🇨🇦🐿️
Sometimes it happens. I try not to
The worker bees all look the same, how do the bees distinguish the robber bees from the bees from their own hive?
Smell.
:)
Did you quit smoking? Your voice sounds different. 🤔
Are these African hybrids?
lol Hi Beautiful, Gorgeous & Pretty Mamma ( She Is Called "Goldie") Yep :) Hi Beautiful, Gorgeous & Pretty Ladies & Gentlemens & Ummmmm Ohhhh Yesssss HI WONDERFUL Yappy / Greatest Bee Guardian...EVER!! YUP lol!! :) How Are Ya'll Doin Today ??

The proliferation of honey bee removal videos and related professionals make it hard to believe that honey bees are actually endangered.
i think it might be more about native bees vs the invasive imported ones?
The honey in that house is worth more than the house is.
